Very nice ambiance outside on the patio and it was nice to be able to choose from both Urge and Barrel Room menus. Server was great. The Brussels sprouts were so good! Only negative was my burger was very undercooked. I recommend ordering well-done.
We always have a great experience at urge. Whether it’s date night or friends getting together.
We went for lunch and the service was good . Two people ordered the short ribs with pasta and said it was great. I ordered a salad with goat cheese and chicken. The goat cheese and salad were good but the chicken was overcooked and tough. Someone else ordered chicken with pasta and that chicken was overcooked and tough also
The good people of Urge made several extra efforts for Mother’s Day! It was so nice! Our crab cake Benedict’s were wonderful, mimosa and complimentary sangria appreciated, photo and a rose extra special! Service was almost a 5, just a little slow with the monkey bread and check, but not overly slow by any means. We will be back with friends soon!
Had breakfast for Mother’s Day. They didn’t seem to be prepared as it took them sometime to get the heaters to work and then was only able to get one working. The waitress was not ver attentive but nice. She could have stoop by our table a few more times.
Good selection and great value on Mother’s Day! Thank you.
Great place, good food, pandemic service. Understandably slow due to less staff. It would be nice if some form of signage was placed nearby in the parking lot, not easy to find.
Great local place for friends to meet & eat. Lot's of outdoor dining.
Great experience and a wonderful night with my wife.
The 10th Anniversary Brunch was amazing! You had to make a prepaid reservation but totally worth it! The Nutella & banana stuffed French toast paired with Velvet Speedway was a great way to start the brunch. It was followed by short rib mole chilaquiles paired with Goose Island BCS, then pork belly sweet potato hash paired with Firestone Walker Sucaba, and lastly, a tart strawberry crisp paired with Beechwood Brewery Strawberry Provence. Drooling yet? The anniversary weekend only comes around once a year. Don’t miss it next year!
Our favorite place! So happy we get to enjoy some good beer and food outside again!
The food here is incredible! They can easily accommodate larger groups. The value is great. I honestly can’t say enough good things.
Food and beer options are great!
The 10th Anniversary Burger was so good! It was a Wagyu beef patty topped with Wagyu brisket and crispy onions. It also came with pickled jalapeños on the burger, but I asked for them on the side. So tasty and delicious! Can’t wait for the 11th Anniversary Burger! Until next year!
Interesting pizza options and a good variety of beer on tap. Friendly staff obeying all covid related precautions. Ambiance was good, could use more lighting in the patio. Had a good time on date night.
Took my mom and husband sat outside. Delicious beers and food and awesome cheerful server. I had the quinoa veggie bowl which was really tasty and flavorful - they shared a burger and onion rings. Everybody happy. When I visit my mom in San Diego we always go here at least once!
We sat in the bar for the tv.
The beer selection was good and food very good bar food.
Had a great evening and our sever was too notch.
We wanted a safe outdoor place to celebrate a family birthday. I could only see 2 servers attending to what became a pretty full capacity. They handled it well, but they could have used a busser to keep things moving a bit faster.
Amazing! They were so accommodating to our rambunctious toddler and the space was gorgeous. Food and beer, even better!
We had been to the San Marcos Urge and decided to check the RB location out. It was even better than SM.
Really good but food was cold when first served
Waiter took care of it
Loved urge!! Food is so yummy!!!! Truffle burger omg
Stephanie did a great job food was great 🤗
Good food, nice location, a bit expensive.
Enjoyed the once of year run of Pliny the Younger!
Got a large group in at the last minute. Service, food and beer selection were great. Told them on OT that it was a birthday, but no recognition of it. Only flaw in the entire experience.
Great local pub with great food and craft beers.
Try the shepherds pie. It’s not just potatoes.
I am on a special diet and wasn't sure which items I could eat. The server asked the chef who came to my table to talk to me. He asked what I was hungry for then made the most wonderful meal for me. I was touched by his concern and thrilled with an superb meal. I felt satisfied and I felt cared for. We will definitely return!!
Cory is always an awesome server and the fish and chips perfectly prepared! Look forward to returning soon!
The food is no longer cooked to order. I was served cold, dry lifeless food. I asked that it be reheated and that is exactly what they did.....the outside was warm but the inside was still cool. My friends food was very greasy. Too bad I really liked this place.
Great food, great service, fun Saturday evening. :-)
Nice restaurant we go to a lot. It can be noisy inside so we often choose to sit at the outdoor tables. Service is always excellent; food always great and consistent.
We’ve been to the Urge location in San Marcos and tried this one for a weekend brunch with a friend.
It was quiet when we first arrived, we were the only table outside. The food options are great, we had the carrot slab (think carrot cake deluxe) calamari which was tasty but to salty for my preference, beet and goat cheese salad, (perfection).
Service wasn’t stellar. There were food items on a separate menu we weren’t made aware of until after ordering, the waiters forgot a few things we had to remind them of, one of the items we ordered (chicken wings) was never brought out to the table and neither of us realized until we got home. They brought us items for other outside tables. All servers were polite, so maybe it’s a system process/issue?
The food was great, ideally we should have sat inside as there were flies all over the table and food as soon as it heated up outside. Recommend this place and will come back again.
Everything was great except the restaurant was freezing and when asked they wouldn’t fix it.
Service was slow but she was trying
Food was not hot
Beer was good
Birthday dinner. Excellent food, service and brews!! Order the boar burger or street tacos. You won’t be disappointed.
Always good. Nice to know we can count of them for a positive eating experience. Thanks
I've eaten here many times, but usually with just a few people. This time, there were 7 of us. The place is really noisy, so it was hard to interact with the whole group. One of the shared plates I've had before- (something) poutine was not very good. I was really disappointed as this was something I'd been looking forward to eating. It was too busy to try to send it back. They have a great beer selection. They are a beer and wine only restaurant which my husband was disappointed with since he wanted a margarita.
Urge was fantastic as always. Great food, great service. This was Urge's 9th Anniversary weekend, so there were beer & menu specials to celebrate.
