   The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The octopus was chef's kiss. Good music and a great vibe. We easily struck up conversations with the people around us. The staff and management were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

   The dining room is busy and a little chaotic with full view of the kitchen and busy staff trying their best to take care of customers in very tight quarters. The food is truly the star of the show! The hardest part was deciding what to order and once we did every dish was delicious. Job well done! We’ll be back in our next visit to Portland

   Chef Javier has an extraordinary talent for flavors and has created a relaxed but special atmosphere. It’s fun to share the various dishes and sample so much of his creative genious. Simple dishes, such as artichokes, become devine thanks to his magic touch.

   Best meal we've had in Portland. The environment was great - energetic, with the kitchen right there so we could see the craft behind the amazing food. Every dish was fantastic. The staff who took care of us were enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about food and drink. That's always such a plus. An all-around incredible experience.

   Unfortunately, our evening was spoiled by an unnecessarily surly waiter. I'm not sure what we did or said to cause this, except to ask the price for wine he was recommending off the wine list. If it hadn't been for this, I would have rated the place a star higher. On the positive side, the food is eclectic, and well prepared and presented. The wine is somewhat overpriced, but that's no different from practically every restaurant. I preferred the tapas at the restaurant that closed on N. Beech, but my wife disagrees, so there's no reason not to recommend this place for a unique dining experience in Portland. Give it a go!

   Incredible food - creative, varied, delicious, beautiful. Perfect for sharing. The person serving was knowledgeable and could read the group of 6. We loved having a flight of vermouth and flight of sherry to have that the end with yummy desert. Would be great for romantic evening too - feels very cozy with the kitchen right there. Only suggestion would be to add some kind of fresh salad options as the food is all very intense with flavours.

    This was a horrible end to our other wise (and third) harmonious dinner at your restaurant: Please state clearly BEFORE seating the party, how long they are allowed to occupy the table. But a server ending a pleasant evening by approaching the table and demanding, without any hint or warning that "you need to go now" is just terrible form. When paying $260.- for a meal, figure out how to better communicate your policy without killing the evening's vibe.

    Outstanding! Food was interesting and delicious. The service was top notch; our server was attentive and made excellent suggestions. When one of our party wasn't crazy about the vermouth she had, the server brought something else. Before our last dish arrived, we were stuffed and since they hadn't started the dish, we were able to cancel it. I highly recommend Urdaneta!

    Love the ambience and friendly service. Its a bit pricey for the small sized portions but the quality and creativity is over the top. We loved all if our tastes except for the fish crudo plate.

    Andre guided us through a superb dining experience. We don’t have any dietary restrictions and didn’t want to stick to our same old menu selections. Andre read us completely right, and sent us the perfect amount of food. All selections were outside of what we would typically order and all items exceeded our expectations.     Food was delicious, and service was also excellent. We ordered a lot and left full. It is not an inexpensive restaurant, but was not as expensive as we thought it would be, considering all of the small plates, dessert, and a bottle of wine.

    Urdaneta is on my top five list of Portland restaurants. I am delighted with the current menu, which takes me back to my travels in San Sebastián and Cordoba. Beautiful seafood, pork and vegetables, plus a wine list that will please everyone. This is the place I am proud to take friends and family. I must also compliment the service - attentive, but not overwhelming. 10/10.

    Last night, we ate at Urdaneta for Tapas. Next week we are going to Spain and Portugal, so we wanted to "warm up" our taste buds for Spanish Tapas. This is one AMAZING restaurant. Everything was wonderful! We are meeting Portland friends (they left a week ago) in Spain next week and we have already promised to take them to Ursaneta when we return. Looking forward to providing a review then with comparison's to Spain.

    The flavors were amazing starting with the complimentary marinated olives. Our server, Maddie, was very helpful with our food and wine selections and was very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend this eatery.

    A little on the expensive side but absolutely delicious! The waiter was very kind and attentive, and she gave us multiple free sampler plates and sherry pours to enhance our meal, as well as excellent recommendations. We will hopefully be coming back soon!

    Urdaneta is a wonderful restaurant, with original and delicious tapas and other interesting Spanish cuisine. The wait staff are friendly, personable and professional and provided excellent recommendations for our anniversary dinner with respect to pairing excellent wines with our tapas and entree selections.
