I made an open table reservation and when I arrived I saw that was not necessary because the place was pretty empty at 7:15 pm. There were four or five employees lingering but no one greeted us. It’s probably much busier when workers and shoppers are there. When someone came to the host stand I said I had a reservation because I didn’t want to get dinged by open table as a no show. that somehow spooked the hostess. And she went to talk to someone else who came to greet us. I said the same thing. They didn’t make any notations and just grabbed menus and asked us where we wanted to sit. We sat outside because it was nice. The food was good. The service was not. Despite there only being one or two other parties seated. No refills on water. I ordered food to go for a family member and they said it’s like take five minutes so I should wait to order. When I ordered the to go food 10 minutes later the guy who said I should wait came back to ask if I really did want the food now or five minutes before I leave? I said I’d like the food five minutes before I leave and told him that I needed to leave in 15 minutes. Well guess what. I had to wait for the food and that made me late and here I am writing this because I was unhappy.

Urbano has declined since I last went in August. The food was so salty I couldn’t eat it, the kitchen had to retake an order after bringing the rest of the food, there was only one server in the restaurant including often behind the bar. They were great but service was slow as a result. And it wasn’t cheap. I don’t see this restaurant surviving for long which is a pity because it was excellent the last time I went.

Excellent food and drinks! Unfortunately with the weather getting cooler the big garage door is not open to their glorious patio, so if there are groups and families with kids gathering inside that noise level really goes up in the space.

Our server was great and her name was Alex! The manager I think he was, also nice. Comp a free fireball for me. I didn’t get his name. We spent over 100 and first time there and we live across the street. They weren’t 100% sure how to work OpenTable but once I told them, they figured it out right away. We left a 25% tip. We’re a little bit more actually because our Service deserved it so please let her know that!

The food at Urbano was quite good, and reasonably priced. However, the ambience leaves something to be desired. It would do better, I think, to remove itself to another location that is not adjacent to a food court. There are other local places to get TexMex food that have equally good food and a nicer atmosphere.

No music. Listened to the sound of the lights crackling. Food was not good. No flavor. Overcooked rice. Ordered a margarita. Was told they “weren’t ready yet” - it was 5pm. Wanted this place to be so good but it lacked a personality. Service was great - they were very attentive but they had nothing good to serve. Not their fault.

Octopus was delicious; not overcooked and the accoutrements matched perfectly. The Texas Platter was good, but the best part of the dish was grilled corn. The salsa that came with free chips was also very good. Only complaint is that the restaurant opens up to food hall, which makes it very noisy in restaurant.
