Beautiful Restauaunt! Service was a little spotty, the AC wasn't working. So it was warm, it rained so it helped cool thing down. The food was good as well as the drinks. The grill steak was amazing.

Sever did not tell us about drink delays and we had to ask multiple questions regarding our order. Birthday girl asked for vegetarian spinach enchiladas and was given chicken. We were not treated well despite clearly mentioning that we were celebrating a special occasion.

The food and service was very good. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere, very hip, with excellent service. The food is basically upscale chain Tex-Mex, though - not bad, but not great, and not even remotely authentic. You can get pretty much the same at Chevy's with a smaller tab at the end of the night.

Would I recommend Urbano to a friend? I'll leave the "yes" button filled in, but the real answer is "maybe," or "it depends."

The A/C wasn’t working it was so hot inside couldn’t enjoy anything

Honestly the service was awful and unprofessional. Our waiter didn’t write down our meals, gave us the wrong size drinks and argued with us when we politely told him that we ordered a different size saying “he gave us what we asked for” and then he laughed about it. We had to ask 3 times to get a box before the brought one out. Also the food was subpar expectations.

It took a while for anyone to come take our order. My order wasn’t accurate and I asked for the “green sauce”for my enchiladas, they brought it out ice cold. Drink glasses weren’t clean. We won’t be back.

The food and service was outstanding - I had the shrimp quesadilla and chicken tortilla soup. Portions were generous and I had lunch for the next day to take home. Friends had chimichangas and said they were quite tasty. We can see how it could get very loud with a full house - no sound buffering in the high ceiling. But for our late lunch, conversation was easy. We will return!

Father’s Day

Two families went here for Father's Day dinner. Nice place and the food was good. We had an issue with the server - apparently she was at the end of her shift. We started with incorrect drink order (which she did fix). Then we received wrong food order. No one really checked on us and we had to flag people down to get extra chips to eat with our guac. Some time after the food was served, we saw a new wait staff and we shared our concerns. He was apologetic and offered to fix the issues but we have already started eating. Aside from the service issue, the restaurant was very hot with stale air. It doesn't feel like there's AC or fan running and we were all very warm and started to get uncomfortable. We may try Urbano again because we did enjoy the food.

Birthday celebration. Thanks to the manager and our waiter for providing a cake with candle to recognize the birthday.

Great Mexican fare, strong drinks, and an overall fun atmosphere

The food was great, but service was very slow, especially sine we were there before the dinner rush. The food and drinks came out fine, but when we were done eating, it took 20 minutes from our dishes being cleared to having the check dropped off, then another 40 minutes before the check was picked up for us to close out. It's a good thing we weren't in any rush for the rest of that afternoon.

Had a great time! I ordered a steak fajita salad and it was really good!

Great food and fast service. It's a great replacement for Brine, which was so-so. the margaritas were good too!

I’ve gone twice now. Great ambiance and very attentive staff. Place was clean and modern. Food:
Steak fajitas: meat could have been of better quality. Very fatty.
Guacamole: Amazing! Very small portion though.
Chicken tacos: great taste!
Shrimp tacos/ the shrimp should have been cooked more. Sauce used on top does not mix well. Should be changed

Overall drinks were good and ambiance were great! appetizers were a bit pricey for quantity. Dip had hair as well as first drink, so made us weary. But would come back!

I haven't been to terribly many Mexican restaurants in my day, but this definitely is my favorite so far. A bit loud inside but service was good and the food was incredible. Will definitely be coming back!

On Sunday Brunch the fajitas were great, rock fish ceviche was light and fresh with a ginger, orange, lime juice.
Pozole was deep red and delicious...I usually like larger and more hominy, but the flavor was intense. Well done...we'll be back

Chips felt a little stale. The service was just okay. Food took a very long time until it arrived at our table. When the food arrived it was hot and fresh. However, it was no better than your average Mexican restaurant. They had a good playlist though.

This was our first visit to Urbano--and our first "dining out" experience in more than 14 months! We dined outside and had a lovely time; service was great, the music was not too loud, and the food (veggie chimichanga and cheese enchiladas) was quite good. I was happy to be able to celebrate with a virgin margarita. We'll definitely be back.

The wait was not long at all, the food was amazing, the waiters were super nice and were always checking in on us.

Excellent quality food. Steak and shrimp fajitas were delicious! Guacamole fresh and huge margaritas. Rosa Mexicano was booked up. So, now we found this neighborhood gem at Mosaic in Merrifield! Great service! Nearby boutiques.

We sat outside and the music was quite loud, plus the song kept changing every few seconds, which was weird. Would love to be able to chat more and listen to music less - otherwise very great experience!

Great food and service! First time eating in a restaurant since the pandemic began and this was just the spot to do so. Our waitress Nicole is exceptional. Food is delicious and all special dietary requests met.
