   This place is a gem for breakfast. Small but well created menu. The food has been consistently excellent over the four times that I’ve been here.

   Didn't realize was a hotel restaurant, that should be made more obvious. Food overall average. Service pretty good but had to ask for things vs server asking you. Ambiance mod & cozy but cramped. Menu much more limited than what's on line, only a few lunch options offered. Weren't told about special. Side salad just big pieces of greens with sour dressing. Garlic fries good. Chicken in club poor & didn't eat. Soda flat. Restrooms up on 2nd floor. Wouldn't go out of my way to return.

   Expected more from a place that took reservations. It is located on site of Silver Cloud Inn, nice, clean, inviting space and a friendly server. We were probably thinking of a more traditional eating place for ambiance, but overall the food and cocktails were exceptional. The lack of ambiance did not detract from our time there at all.

   We were pleasantly surprised! This is a small hotel restaurant. Very clean. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. We had breakfast. The food was very good. We will be meeting here again!

   We came up from No California to visit and found positive reviews for this restaurant on Yelp. I was surprised when we pulled up, to find it attached to the lobby of a small, local hotel. We giggled about the reservation since the place was completely empty, aside from one patron at the bar. The bartender was our server, and was super friendly and attentive. The food and cocktails were all delicious, and we really loved the Brussel sprouts and carrot appetizers. Bonus - parking was easy! Consider this a little hidden gem; we’ll be back.

   Our first time at Urban Steel. We live in the neighborhood and went on a whim. It’s a small place and the menu is necessarily limited. But the chef is clearly talented, creating delicious and complex dishes with modest ingredients. Our favorite dish was a starter: roasted carrots with Burrata, herbs, and pepitas. But everything else was delicious: burger, Brussels sprouts, and terrific, perfect fries. Prices were very reasonable. The cocktails were excellent and the service couldn’t have been better. We shall return. Often.

    Bartender was our waiter and couldn’t have be more welcoming and helpful. I had the short rib sandwich with garlic fries - highly recommend. Regular fries were great as well as the grilled chicken club. My friend had a special bourbon on the rocks which she loved, and I had the Gin Cloud cocktail - like a gin & tonic but with a touch of lemon and lavender. Very fun and refreshing. It also helped that the Jets/Bills game was on and the Jets won. Anyway, a fun and thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Not sure when I will be back in Portland but if you find yourself in NW Portland, definitely go!

    We live in the neighborhood and wanted to try this spot out. I loved the size, nice and small. The food was tasty! There were unique options but also some recognizable options. We decided to try all new (to us) dishes and I’m really glad we did. I would come back here for another date night. It was quaint and just what we needed for the evening

    My first time there.... Kinda disappointed. Had the pork belly Mac and cheese. It was mediocre at best. Macaroni tasted made previously and stored. The cheese was broken... probably from the kimchi that has been added. The garlic fries.... Don't even go there...cheap frozen crap... And then over salted -- All and all not reasonable or delicious. $16 mac n cheese $5 frozen fries....could have done better at a food truck.

    This place has great decor/ambiance but when I booked it I didn’t realize it was located in a 2-3star hotel. Service was good (we were the only ones there which was a little awkward) the menu was limited but good (nothing “wowed us though). I would give this place a 3.5 star for atmosphere (besides the hotel part), service, and food.

    It’s a hotel restaurant which means the space is small and feels like a hotel restaurant. That said the server/cook was a fantastic host. The food was pretty good. Too much oil and sauce with the burgers but a young chef in the making. Small touches in the decor and the menu make it nicer than it might be otherwise. A nice date night

    Did not know what to expect despite high ratings. Location in a hotel building, not the best first impression but don’t let it stop you. This place is a gem. Well prepared dishes, freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice, yummy Bloody Mary. Recommend!

    Service was excellent. Chase made us feel at home and provided great suggestions. The Chef took the time to meet with us and check for quality and level of satisfaction. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts are a must for anyone coming to this establishment. Great job!
