Absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. We were hosting a large group (12+) and the Urban Solace team was nothing but accommodating, flexible, and patient. The ambiance and food were spectacular.

Great place for lunch with my sister after shopping! It’s a charming and friendly atmosphere. Lively, but not so loud that you can’t have a private conversation. The food was delicious and the range was wide enough to suit a carnivore like myself and a vegetarian like my sister. Our server was polite, helpful, and attentive but didn’t hang out with us. It was my first trip but will not be my last!

I have been to Urban Solace so many times over the years. Went back to find a new "tasting" menu . While I was disappointed to find no duck on the menu (one of my favs) I tried two items off the new menu. I would not order either of these again. Not sure I will be back, what a shame.

The Veggie burger needs better construction. It crumbled in my hand as i was eating it. The taste was ok though. Maybe a bigger bun ? The waiter was very friendly and courteous. The service time could be definitely improved.

Pros: The atmosphere was great and being able to sit outdoors during a rainy evening was very nice. Location is wonderful, right in the heart of North Park. Cons: Reservation at 7 and we're seated until 730. The drink order was incorrect. One plate never came out and had to be reordered. The plates are TINY and at $10-15 a plate, don't expect to leave full unless you're willing to pay a hefty sum.

Love this place; from small groups, to larger groups (as with this visit), to just solo for lunch at the bar - it's always the same: outstanding food, relaxed and casual atmosphere, and a staff focused on courtesy and service. US&BS set up a table for 10, on a Sunday morning. The usual Bluegrass next door outside that provided a nice music backdrop and still able to keep up good conversation while inside. Service was impeccable as always - ask and you receive, with just the right amount of attention that you don't feel neglected, but given enough space to enjoy the meal and your company. Food was up to the usual standard, with the Bennys and Salmon bowls almost perfect. The Croque, while outstanding in taste and flavor, was a bit "messy" - guess I was expecting a tight-collar French presentation. Maybe it was Urban Solace's take on it: comfort food - but ultimately, the presentation didn't matter as much as the eats - it was completely finished and very satisfying. Oh - and "This is for Rosa": it has become my favorite morning cocktail, and on my personal list of "guilty vice pleasures" :-). Thanks again, Urban Solace crew - I will keep coming back!

We have eaten at the sister restaurant “Solace” in North County many times and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, our experience at Urban Solace was disappointing. I ordered the veggie burger and fries. The burger was good but the fries were soggy as if they had been reheated in the microwave. The restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday at 1:30, yet the waiter, though friendly, rarely appeared. We had to go up to the bar to retrieve our own drinks. I will not be returning.

It's been two years since I last went to Urban Solace. While the menu changed to a small plates style, the food was no less inventive and delicious! I had the chimichurri steak, roasted celery root, and a small 3-item charcuterie board (a sausage with two cheeses) and thought they were all very good. I definitely recommend this place to foodies.

The food is very good but not worth the wait. We had a 730 reservation and didn’t get our food until between 930-10pm. The restaurant wasn’t even full so I’m not sure why it took so long. The waitress was very rude and wanted to argue. She didn’t mention anything about the menu like the plates are small- but I asked because the prices seemed too low for a full entree. We had a party of 6 and was seated at a booth for 4 with one of us on an uncomfortable wooden bench and the other sitting out in a chair. Overall I was not impressed and will never come back.

I specifically said in my reservation that it was a celebration for my son's 21st birthday, and that we both work in the industry. Upon arrival there was no birthday wishes nor throughout the entire meal. Most disappointing was our selected table- directly across from the restroom, and right next to a server terminal. Because we both work constantly, going out is a rare treat. I wrongly assumed my reservation note would be enough for some sort of special treatment. The meal itself was very tasty, but would have actually been able to really enjoy at a quiter table.

Everything seemed AOk, I really like this restaurant. The only complaint I had was... knowing that these were small plates, the order of scallops was the definition of a small plate. Should have been, maybe, 6 scallops or may 3 very large ones. It seemed pricy and ridiculous when it arrived at the table. Everything else was fine.

I love the new menu - the mushroom fritters and smoked beets were delightful. And the lemon tart! So. Good. I love that there are so many plant-based options and they're clearly labeled on the menu. Staff was wonderful, and were able to accommodate my request for a quietish spot so my hard of hearing dad and I could chat easily.

Urban Solace is one of my husband's and my favorite restaurants. We have been many times and always loved the food and drink menu. We returned for my birthday and to try the new small plate format. Drinks came out immediately, and so did the charcuterie and cheese plate we ordered, which we always enjoy. We ordered about 5 small plates and a second round of drinks next. For some reason, they got behind on tickets and food was slow, we were finishing our drinks and still no food. Without even having to ask, we got a free round of drinks and a free dessert as food was so slow. It felt nice to be so well taken care of; we understand sometimes the kitchen gets behind for various reasons. Running a restaurant is not an easy thing! But when the management can recognize a mishap and make up for it shows true customer service. As for food quality, all was very tasty, save the broccolini which I think they rushed out (it was not charred as advertised). The lamb meatballs and the pork belly pancakes were REALLY good and worth the wait. Overall, this is still one of my very favorite restaurants and I plan to return again soon. Thank you Urban Solace!

Overall we had a nice meal and time together. It was brunch time and the place was busy. A few suggestions. A restaurant can not run out of simple off the shelf items (coconut milk) Hot drinks should not be served in glass, they look amazing but not functional, finally food should be served hot or cold. Nice job on service and table cleanup.

Service was very poor. We waited an extraordinarily long time for drinks, appetizers, everything really...The Manager was extremely apologetic and said that this was due to many large parties at the same time and a new menu that week. He accommodated us by comping everything, which was unexpected and very nice. However, the food was just fair to good at best and given our experience, even with the kindness of management, I am not sure that I would return.

There's a reason why Urban Solace has been in North Park so long - they know what they're doing and are very good at it! Came from a small casual group brunch on a Saturday. Moderately filled with people, we were sat down immediately for our reservations. Food was excellent: eggs benedict (Pork Belly Benny), a skillet hash, and comfort food: biscuits and sausage! "This is for Rosa" was a great cold brew/vodka alternative to the mimosa, and the ambience is always pleasant, elegant, quiet - but casual. I'll keep going back!
