Chef Dane Boryta's "fabulous California comfort cuisine" (Time Out San Francisco), served in our upstairs dining room, is a guaranteed crowd pleaser, with a 4.6 star rating on Open Table. Come in to try our creative deep-dish pizzas or our house-made corn dogs, which 7x7 Magazine named as one of the "100 things to eat in San Francisco before you die." And as a bonus, your party can follow dinner with a round of mini-golf on our indoor course, one of the six most "eye-catching courses across the country" according to Smithsonian Magazine.

It was a lot of fun. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow and I think I shouted continually in order to be heard. However, the food was tasty and the golfing was great!

Super fun experience, service was all over the place but what can you expect? Dinner and golf with the teenagers was a great experience, and a delight for everyone in the family!

Although we didn't play golf, we ate here with our kids. The noise level was loud in the restaurant, with multiple large tables seated next to us drinking heavily and yelling to talk. The food was good but had issues. The pizza was tasty but had entirely way too much cheese. The cheese literally slid off the pizza when trying to pick it up due to the weight. The Chicken and waffles are always good. The tuna app was way over cooked, and the mac and cheese side tasted like the cheese sauce broke and didn't melt properly (very granular). The drinks were good, but the bill was high. 1 pizza, 2 apps, a side of mac and cheese, and two drinks = $100 with tip.

As if having great food isn't enough, one has the option of also playing the most imaginative, intricate, and fun mini golf courses I have ever seen! Each hole is challenging, entertaining and often very rewarding! The drink tables placed strategically at each hole make it so easy to enjoy a beverage while playing. The restaurant upstairs offers a variety of very well prepared items including mains, small plates, and fabulous sides, so there really is something for everyone and excellent choices no matter your hunger level. Drinks are creative and excellent, as are the desserts.

The food and drinks were extremely good. The service was wonderful. The golf course was very fun, just crowded and my 12-year-old noticed the crowd in front of us was drunk. There was a big back up at hole seven and my autistic daughter struggled to wait, but she got through and we love how the course is set up. It’s very attractive with all of the different obstacles they have for the golf ball. We will be back.

Personally, the food wasn’t worth the hour+ wait after we ordered. Not sure if this is the norm for Urban Putt, but based on my experience I wouldn’t recommend it.

The restaurant upstairs was nice and quiet at the time we went, regular Thursday 7pm. Food was delicious, gnocchi and a salad. Desert was too sweet for my taste. Overall great restaurant. The mini golf downstairs is incredible. Never seen so many cool creative gadgets around the golf course. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the golf.

This review is based on the food, drinks and friendly staff. We didn't play golf because the line was too long but overall we were happy because the food is so tasty. I love the bacon, apple, brussels sprouts.

Food much better than expected. Fair prices & good-sized portions. Veggie burger one of the best I’ve ever had!

Only big negative was service. Inconsistent & husband didn’t get beer until almost finished with dinner.

Went on Valentine’s Day. Food is great and we especially liked the pork belly tostadas. Played mini golf after dinner, which was understandably crowded so there was a bit of a wait to putt each hole. Drinks help the wait, but you’re only allowed drinks on the course at certain times I think. Definitely will come back sometime.

The mini golf is not enjoyable because you stand in a permanent line the entire time. If I was a child I might enjoy this but as an adult there is no need to go back more than once, ever.

A very fun evening with the crazy, creative, albeit crowded, putting course. Dinner was reserved as requested, courteous, responsive staff, good bar offerings, tasty, reasonably priced culinary offerings. A bit loud everywhere.

I always recommend Urban Putt as an attraction to people new to the city or people visiting from out of town - this will no longer happen as I was so embarrassed and offended by our visit there on Monday. I brought friends who were visiting from Europe and we made reservations for 8:30pm. Mind you, when I made reservations I had no idea what time they closed, I just saw the availability and knew we could make it. When we get there it was like we arrived to a funeral. Staff was visibly upset over our arrival and man at host desk tells us that we would be the 3rd table all night and they were trying to wrap the night up. I responded with: "should we leave then?" and he said no it was fine. When we sat, waitress told us that kitchen would close in 15 minutes then continued to hound over us to take drink orders and food order while we were trying to translate menu items to our guests who do not know English or American cuisine well - she stopped by 3 times in a matter of 7-10 mins. You don't have to be a genius to understand that we were translating the menu to our guests so obviously we needed more time all three times. This made our guests extremely nervous and really weirded us all out. Food comes out and they didn't even bring us napkins or silverware. I had to ask for napkins then had to go and get silverware from another table. Again, this whole situation was very embarrassing for us as we decided to bring our guests there because we'd always had fun playing there and figured it'd be a great place for eating and entertaining.
It was not our fault it was a slow night, it was not our fault it was a Monday, it was not our fault management or whomever stayed open leaving us time to book a reservation. I've never have felt so unwelcome in my life. I am so sad our guests had to go through such an awkward experience and am beyond embarrassed for bringing them there, we had such limited time together and it was misspent being treated like trash.
