This isn't your grandfather's minigolf. This is miniature golf reimagined: a cutting-edge jewel box of a course, located in the heart of San Francisco, which combines high artistry with motorized devices, mechanical gizmos, and the latest in high-tech to create an indoor, urban course that will consistently amaze and entertain.
With a Jules Verne meets Art Deco aesthetic (with a heaping helping of steampunk thrown in), we are creating a course full of interactive kinetic sculptures.

Urban Putt Ratings and Reviews
Great place to grab fine dining bar food and play a round of mini-golf. Dinner was definitely better than the mini-golf experience to be honest (wayyy too many people on a crammed course). Food-wise, everything was delish. We had the jalapeno biscuit, deep dish pizza, chicken and waffle skewers--all great choices.
We were visiting from out of state and had seen this place on a tv show and couldn’t wait to go. We took our son here for his birthday and were very underwhelmed. The food was not what we expected at a mini golf restaurant. It was a limited menu with “fancy” options; not very kid/casual diner friendly. There were two large dinner parties that were very loud making it hard for us to even have a conversation amount ourselves.
The staff was very accommodating! We were celebrating a special birthday and everyone had a great time!! Special thanks to Dan, who made the evening more fun than we could have ever anticipated. The menu had many delicious items. Highly recommend this spot for a great time, great drinks and great food.
We invited friends for putt putt and dinner. Putt putt was great, but the meal was unfortunately not very good. We were a little embarrassed, frankly. The mahi mahi had a very tangy sauce on it that needed to be scraped off and came on a bed of something grain related with an odd texture and not much taste. Salad dressing was also much too tart. Kid's mac and cheese was tiny.
Honestly I had a blast, my girlfriend and I went twice in one night. Onceearly even for a date and then again with a group of 11 people for a birthday that same night. It was great fun even the second time around. We had an absolute blast and even played the skee ball and basketball arcade games.
What a fun place! The mini golf course is the most creative I have ever seen, and beautifully SF-themed. But the food upstairs was a remarkable find! It was almost incredible to see a really nice restaurant with excellent choices and cuisine above a mini-golf!!!
Kid friendly before 8; wilder with drinks allowed on the course after 8 pm. A fun group activity that foodies and mixed drink afficionados will enjoy.
Had a great night at Urban Putt.
We were visiting from Australia and it was my sons 13th birthday. The mini golf was really unique and lots of fun. The restaurant food was great and the drinks were very reasonably priced. The staff in the restaurant were very engaging.
It’s not often a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys can go out and have a great time all doing the the same thing but we did at Urban Putt.
Give it a go, you will have a great night too.
Celebrated my husband's birthday here with 10 other friends. We were all surprised and impressed by the restaurant food, especially the chicken and waffles, pear sandwiches and deep dish pizzas. The space was fun for folks to spread out among the bar area, mini golf and game room; yet still feel together. Definitely recommend for a good time out with friends.
Made a group reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. Our table was seated late because of the preceding party, but the staff was very kind and accommodating while we waited. I can't tell if they were understaffed or just unusually busy for the holiday season, so it was a little problematic getting orders in and then two dishes came out significantly later than the rest of ours (just a fluke I hope). That said, still had a great time, people were friendly, the Fairway to Heaven was a delicious cocktail, and I probably could have eat the chicken and waffle skewers all night long :)
Went for Christmas party. The menu had lot of diverse options and each person there was happy with choices. Each food item was perfectly prepared.
The Tuna Poke was superb starter. The steak was excellent main.
Service gets dinged for not bringing starters out before main ! It was busy and server was very sorry so can't complain too much. The starters were worth the wait
We brought a giant group of teens for a birthday party. They were so kind and accommodating—never even blinked to see so many kids. Service was very efficient and professional. The food was perfect for picky teens (they wolfed down the chicken and biscuits in seconds) and the staff was cool about the "enthusiastic" noise level. They made my daughter's experience wonderful and I really appreciate how well it all went.
Service was good but the food is TERRIBLE. not oh “how bad could it be it’s Bar food”but actually terrible. Even my kid who eats everything asked if he could spit out some stuff. We ordered 6 things and the only thing anyone marginally liked was the burger.
So, we never got a chance to play golf because the line was super long and it would have taken forever to make it to the front.
We are at the restaurant but I must say I was not impressed. The food was mediocre and way overpriced. The service was slow and they seemed to be understaffed.
The atmosphere was fun, lovely but it wasn't really worth the price by any means.
I would recommend coming to play golf during the daytime, but you'd be happier getting food at your favorite local spot and perhaps grabbing a drink at he bar after golf.
The dining experience did not turn out the way I expected. It was supposed to be a date night for me, my hubby, and our son. The food was just average for the price. My cocktail drink tasted like flavored water. Like no alcohol in it for $12. I'm just really disappointed.
Thank God for the golf experience! It really made our night. My hubby and my son really had a great time. We should've just went there to play golf, instead of wasting $70 just for a simple dinner.
The decor of this place is amazing. Lots of time and attention went into it. Staff was great as well. Took care of you when need be and left you alone when the time was right. They also worked together as a team and communicated to one another really well. You could tell they enjoyed their guests and each other.
We had a family dinner for 6 upstairs at Urban Putt. Empanadas are very good - sauce quite spicy - and salads delicious. Both up and downstairs are SUPER noisy but OK for fun and festive atmosphere. Don't go there for a business chat or deep exchange of ideas. It was mostly populated by 20 somethings and the golf downstairs is a lot of fun - though probably more so if you go on a Monday when they allow cocktails on the golf course. The wait staff are fabulous and management were alert to our needs and responsive. Uber or Lyft to get there - parking is difficult.
It's a fun experience!
There are places attempting this hip-recreation with food and drinks. Most are complete duds (see: Spin in SoMa). Urban Putt absolutely nailed it. The activity in this case is a brilliantly constructed mini-golf course. Chef Dane Boryta's food is so far beyond what you would imagine for this milieu that you could argue that the mini-golf is second banana. The drinks are tasty and also highly creative. And the staff is a pleasure. Go now!
I am really glad we had a reservation through OpenTable. We were sat immediately. She let us pick our spot. The server took a couple minutes to greet us. Given water on the spot. Ordered a few Moscow mules. The dinner took a lot longer than inspected, but was delicious. Overall, would DEFINITELY suggest to go for a date night
Our server was great. Lowered the Stars due to the fact our host/stess was such a downer. Seem so not interested in helping. Practically tossed the wine at us. The pizza , empanadas were ok. I had much higher expectations. Especially for the price . NOW The chicken and waffles AMAZING.
