Farm-to-table dining in the comfort of our home: that is the unique experience you will find at Urban Hearth. Located in a cozy North Cambridge storefront, our intimate dining room, knowledgeable, friendly staff, and exquisitely crafted menu are the heart of our dinner service. Join us for a la carte or at our chef's counter where you'll have the pleasure of interacting with Chef Erin Miller while dining.

We share a story of culture, community, discovery and home. The globally-inspired, locally-sourced dishes we serve celebrate our rich and complex connection with food. The table is set, whether marking a special occasion or the end of a busy day, we look forward to sharing the evening with you. We welcome private event bookings for graduations, birthdays, weddings and more. To equalize the pay disparity between tipped staff & kitchen staff during our busy times, we add a 5% kitchen appreciation fee to each check. We require 24 hours notice for all cancellations.

Culinary delight. Imaginative combinations and great service with a somewhat limited menu. Went there with my adult children. We ordered over half the menu. Everybody loved the shared plates. Now we know why Chef Erin was nominated for a James Beard award. The red wine I ordered was amazing. The cocktail could have been better (YMMV).

Wonderful food, those Tandoori Carrots are memorable, but all the food was delicious. Service is great and the place has a great feel to it.

This is my wife's favorite restaurant in Cambridge, and mine now too. We went here for her birthday and at first, we could not get in, but the manager worked it out after I sent her a note. Very nice people. The food was so good, though pricey, well worth it for a special occasion. Reminded me that it's better to go out less often and spend my money at a nicer place.

Dined here with the tasting menu at the chef's counter. Food was excellent which is to be expected from a chef with Miller's pedigree. However, the value at $160 a seat is miss, five courses is really seven but only two of substance (fish and a 2.5oz portion of wagyu) don't equate to the price point. There are plenty of spots with chef's with similar pedigrees doing tasting menus at a significantly higher value than Miller and her team. Limited interaction with the chef and her team coupled with an eerily silent atmosphere cause the experience to feel sterile. Skip the tasting counter and head for the regular menu you aren't missing out.

The portion sizes are kept small for our tasting menu since it ends up being many courses and our goal is not to leave our guests feeling too full. We are so sorry we didn't offer you the interactive experience we are known for. You caught us on a bit of a distracted evening as we prepared for our trip to Chicago for the James Beard Awards and for that we apologize. The food and drinks were creative and delicious. The bench seating was very uncomfortable - back against a slat, hard spring felt under legs.

It was our first visit to Urban Hearth and our server Sam was a gem. She explained the small plate concept and all the incredible choices. With her guidance we ordered 7 plates successfully for four and had a delicious meal.

After a While life of visiting restaurants we didn't expect this level of excelente and LOVE for the food. Each dish was better than the previous. We would go everyday. It was worth every cent
