We've been going regularly to Urban Hearth since we moved to the area a year ago. It never disappoints. The dishes are creative and always delicious. Erin and staff are outstanding.

The meal was delicious. Duck was perfect. Biscuits flaky w/miso-maple butter were fantastic. Thankful for the blankets and heat laps for outdoor dining. Service was friendly and accommodating. Definitely would go here again.

Our favorite place to eat --but especially during the pandemic when we are only eating outside. The outdoor patio is very intimate and spacious at the same time. The food and drinks are to die for. Erin the chef always makes it special for us! Can't wait to go back in 2 weeks!

We are so appreciative that a place like Urban Hearth has figured out a way to stay open during Covid. Outside dining was cozy with heated lamps. Dinner was terrific and staff was super helpful without any rushing. We enjoyed our celebration there. Thank you!

It is always a pleasure to eat the meticulously sourced, carefully and creatively prepared meals at Urban Hearth. The staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating and the food is just delicious. Cocktails are creative, plates are beautiful, wines are interesting and you finish feeling full but not gross, completely satisfied. Currently they are serving in a nice tent, decorated with plants and beautiful mural. What a treat to go there for an evening!

Urban Hearth has created a lovely outdoor space during the pandemic, one where you hardly know you are on Mass Ave. The menu is nicely diverse but not overwhelming. All the food is farm to table and expertly prepared. The wine selection is wonderful, and the cocktails are inventive, potent, and delicious. Lastly, the service is extremely hospitable and Covid precautions are in full evidence. Eat here!

Loved the patio set up, felt like the appropriate measures for addressing corona virus safety concerns were in place and being observed. The food is always top notch, the dishes are imaginatively put together without being out of place. We put a lot of thought into whether or not we are going to go out these days, so being able to know we can have a full, safe experience out dining is important and we appreciate when it is provided. Thank you.

What a wonderful meal we had in the new patio seating. Gorgeous wine, fresh, expertly prepare halibut, delicious, in season vegetables—all were extraordinary. This was such a treat after so many months of covid deprivation.

Exceptional. Passion drives this little gem of a restaurant in Cambridge. My family and I were able to forget the day to day pandemic news cycle and relax. Everyone was socially distant, and the patio seating was delightful. We started with a bottle of sparkling and per usual, the wine was artfully selected by the chef owner Erin Miller. I learn so much about wine each meal. I was overjoyed by the new a la carte menu. The cucumber soup Was refreshing and reminded me of childhood, the mushrooms were texturally a delight, seasonal fresh veggie salad... well you can’t beat those farm to table veggies right now in summer, squid ink pasta was rated one of the best meals my father in law had had in Boston, and the fried chicken sandwich was out of this world! Come here hungry and ready to feel special. Thank you Urban Hearth!

This was probably the best place I've eaten at, ever. I realized this after the first dish. I've eaten at very nice places - 9 Park place, Giuliana, Celeste and similar quality restaurants outside of Boston. This place has master chefs and a wonderful ambiance in an intimate decor. I highly, highly recommend.

This cozy destination restaurant serves only prix fixe on the weekends, but every course was excellently crafted of well sourced and unexpected combinations of ingredients. In addition to the courses we selected were two additional intermediate courses of a cheese fondue with crisp sweet and soft vegetables, and a cheese and fruit course before the dessert. The wine suggestion was perfectly suited to my meal. Dessert was as inventive as the other courses.

this was our second visit and just as with the first, everything was exquisite (really). the portions are just right, the pacing, plating, in-between-course treats; just wonderful. we had the three-course prix fix (last time my wife had the five course) with wine pairings and a cocktail. the venue is intimate, without feeling squished, and the service is wonderful in every way as well.

One of the most outstanding meals we have had in a very long time. We sat the chef's counter and enjoyed watching the dance between the chefs to produce impeccably prepared plates in a tiny space. Our meals were amazing, we ordered different items, and while we enjoyed some things more than others, there were no missteps. The wine pairings were well thought out and interesting. The service was delightful and personal. Everyone clearly loves what they are doing ... thank you for the lovely experience.

Urban Hearth is a very small restaurant that makes a truly big impression. It's perfect for date nights, celebrations and family gatherings. It's an intimate place: there are about 5 or 6 tables, one long farm table and a small bar that about 5 stools. We have had many enjoyable meals here as a couple and with friends. We've had the prix fixe dinner with wine pairings and have also recently been to several of their 'Wine Bar Sundays' -- I highly recommend both. The atmosphere is cozy due to its size and open kitchen but upscale with white table linens and phenomenal service. They KNOW THEIR WINES -- enjoying new wines at this restaurant is one of our favorite parts of going to Urban Hearth. Their food is seasonal and the flavors, herbs and spices are unique and special. You won't get heaps of food on your plates and that's fine because each dish is just right. There are always excellent vegetarian options. They now host Wine Sundays in the evenings, with a pared down menu and we love it.

We love high quality farm-to-table type food, but husband hates what he thinks of as hoity-toity atmosphere at many finer restaurants. Thank goodness he LOVES Urban Hearth and wants to go back soon. A small humble storefront outside of Porter Square, but inside is a wonderful fine restaurant in a comfortable casual atmosphere. The fine staff could not be more warm and inviting. And accommodating with flexibility to mood and tastes of diners. The food is prepared with the greatest care. We love sitting at the bar for a front row seat to the food preparations (dinner and a show!)

We ordered one 3-course and one 5-course to give us a chance to try lots of things. The courses are not small, but moderate in size, a little more than tapas, and every one delicious. No room to go into descriptions of the delicacies we enjoyed, because every bite deserves a paragraph of praise. You cannot go wrong with anything on that menu. If you have a light appetite, go for the 3-course, but the 5-course would not overwhelm a hearty eater.

Our host was very flexible in response to our tastes and interests. I wanted a single glass of wine, and she recommended a choice between two. Went the next step and brought two glasses to taste and compare. When I had a hard time deciding, she suggested two half glasses so I could enjoy each along with the various courses -- the heartier wine with the lamb, lighter with the fish. She really makes their offerings work for your tastes.

We will be back soon!

We've been here many times. The beauty of the plates always fascinates me. We took the booth closest to the kitchen so we were able to watch the plating. A true treat to see how much work goes into making each plate perfect.

The innovative and limited menu, preparation and attention to plating are the stars. We ordered a few things a bit dubiously as the ingredients list seems somewhat busy. The flavors were great and because of the size of our group we had a chance to really taste a good representation of the whole menu.

The space is small and needs more professional attention to both seating and decor to bring it up to within the high price point of the meal.

Charming neighborhood restaurant with great service. Sophisticated wine list. Hit (sweet potato biscuits, pear with smoked cheese) or miss (lamb rump was too tough and salty, scallops slightly overcooked). $/Quality ratio - perhaps slightly overpriced. This place has a nice potential.

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely incredible experience. We had the 3-course prix fixe, and each course was delicious, creative, unique, and beautifully plated. The mini-courses in between each dish were tasty too—make sure to come hungry! The service was exquisite, and they personalized my girlfriend's dishes to be compatible with her dairy allergy. The restaurant has an intimate, homey setting that's perfect for special occasions. It was one of the best meals I've ever had!

We were warmly greeted on a cold, windy evening and ushered to our table. All the waitstaff were extremely attentive, explained the menu, and answered all our questions. The food was terrific and we were pleasantly surprised by a few items presented in between courses. All-in-all a great dining experience! We had a fun evening with friends at Urban Hearth, celebrating a milestone birthday with great friends and with great food and wine pairings. Many thanks to Chef for the wonderful preparation and for accommodating food allergies. The setting is cozy, which was part of Urban Hearth's appeal to us. However, we seemed to be a large group (7) for the space, and the restaurant was dealing with some scheduling issues, as we were seated 90 minutes(!) after our 8 pm reservation. The manager was very apologetic for the delay and provided appetizers and a round of drinks as we waited at the bar area. I would consider returning for lunch or for dinner as a couple, but will hesitate to return with a large group (6 or more) unless it is for the first seating of the evening.
