   Absolutely lovely restaurant for a cute date night! I would give more stars or Michelin stars if I could, so creative, delicious and insightful staff made it a great evening! The duck was one of the best and each drink was delicious! Will be coming back for the chefs tasting menu

   My only complaint was that I was sitting about two feet from a woman who coughed all night. It wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but does speak to the closeness of the tables. Food was delicious and creative. Service was wonderful.

The Urban Hearth team is a delight to watch, as they weave around in a respectful dance with each other, each person intent on creating artistry and delight in a purposeful rhythm. Every person is integral: chef, diner, server each plays their part. Connection and imagination and dedication to quality create an unforgettable experience. This is no ordinary meal, so make sure to share it with someone very special.

   Prompt seating with a reservation. Our server was very knowledgeable about all aspects of drinks and the menu. Depending on your appetite, I would recommend a 2 small plates (especially the biscuit with miso butter) and the raviolo, if you decide to get your own entrée. If you share an entree, get another small plate. Food came out promptly and hot. One a Friday night it definitely was a bit loud, but tolerable. Overall, great food, amazing service, and a great dining experience.

   This is one of the few restaurants/chefs in the Boston area that shows creativity and brings innovative flavors to the food menu and in the cocktails. The open kitchen makes you feel part of the action. Friendly and professional staff. You pay for the experience and quality.

    The food was scrumptious and unusual, and done with restraint, unlike some fine dining places. The atmosphere was casual, sound level level was comfortable, and the service was great. Really memorable evening - the best restaurant meal I can remember!

    One of if not the best meal I’ve had. What an amazing experience the chefs counter was. I’m ecstatic I was able to experience Chef Erin Miller’s talent and love of food. I will tell everyone I know about Urban Hearth whether they are in the area or not. Will definitely be back very soon!

    Chef Erin and the entire team at UH deliver a true farm to table experience that is next-level on just about every front. The flavor combinations are wonderfully balanced, harmonious and inventive. The setting is intimate and low key—perfect for a romantic meal or intimate gathering with friends. Sitting at the counter enables you to interact directly with chef Erin and her team—a true treat—as they plate, deliver and describe the flavor pairings, techniques and ingredient origins and microclimates that all come together so thoughtfully and intentionally in each course of the tasting menu. UH is a not so hidden gem. It’s the best and most interesting meal we have had in all of Boston area in quite a while. Can’t recommend highly enough.

    We had such an amazing experience eating at the chef’s counter at urban hearth! Each course was creative and thoughtful; everything tasted great and was beautifully presented. The service was absolutely impeccable even though the restaurant was fully booked and very busy. We will definitely be back to try dishes from the menu, and to do the tasting again in the future.

    The food is creative and well-prepared. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Because it is such a small space, the tables are close together, but we were tucked in a corner and were able to have a little privacy nonetheless, I would definitely go there again and try other things on the menu. Not sure if the choice of meats is meant to be wild (duck, venison) and not factory farmed, but some kind of free range beef, lamb, chicken or pork main dish might be a good option. Everything we ordered was delicious.

We do stay away from factory farms, but our choice of meat is also based on seasonality and we just had chicken and pork on our early winter menu.     Urban Hearth is our favorite go to for date night-the sweet potato dandies with coriander dressing on the local greens- fantastic! The duck breast with shiitake and parsnip- amazing! The swordfish - exquisite! But most surprising was the desserts- Sunchoke Alfredo! So light and sweet and the perfect texture !

    Simply delightful. The service was friendly and attentive without being pushy. The menu is interesting and each dish we tried was carefully imagined and delicious. The winter bourbon cocktail was well balanced and a nice complement to the food. Highly recommend Urban Hearth for a special dinner.

    The food was outstanding. The wine was delicious. The service started out great — a party of two, we were there for a birthday. But after an hour and a half, they said they needed our table soon and, if we wanted dessert, could we order it right now. We were left a little confused about what went wrong.

We started our evening at just 32 guests and we had a ton of last minute reservations (not a normal thing for us). Normally we are able to accommodate most tables for at least 90 minutes or more depending on the night, so this was a challenging Friday the 13th surprise.     It was very overpriced for the paltry amount of food that we got. We also didn’t get the champagne that seemed to be included on the menu on OpenTable.

    My wife and I had were fortunate enough to get a reservation for the New Year's prix fixe dinner. It was probably the best dinner of our lives. Truly extraordinary. We sat near the kitchen area and watched Erin ("chef") and her crew prepare the plates with rapt attention to every detail. You can feel and taste the love, which lingers still.

    We had a fantastic experience at Urban Hearth a few weeks ago. Their drink menu was extensive with many beer/wine/cocktail options as well as some non-alcoholic drinks. We had the Hannukah prix fixe menu - amazing latkes and entrees. I was most impressed by the flavors and presentation of the courses. Everything was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. The biscuits were delicious too. The front of house staff were warm, knowledgable, and made our experience wonderful. Can't wait to come back again!

    The meal was terrific, the chef wonderful as she described our meal. The wine pairings were all very very good! Maybe the biggest surprise was the ‘orange wine’! With the right food pairing - which we had - it was a delight!
