What a wonderful Brunch Menu and a delight to find in the middle of our beautiful city. Will definitely be back!
Went for brunch and all of us except one( group of 4) ordered breakfast, it was delicious, hot and large portions. One person ordered lunch ( burger) possibly the timing in relation to breakfast dishes, but it was cold and a bit undercooked and also expensive. Our server was awesome and kept our glasses full. Very nice environment and not crowded. I will return.
Beautiful space and the brunch was wonderful. They don’t have a large menu but they have a great variety that would appeal to most palates.
From the hostess and greeting to the bussing, service was superb. Really enjoyed Nick, our server. Great personality and top notch service. Overall a very nice evening.
Came to celebrate my husband's birthday. This place used to be superb. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, so no complaint there. We ordered 3 steaks and the kitchen screwed up all 3 of them. Medium well instead of medium rare, no seasonings. It's a rookie mistake. For the money they charge, the steaks should be prepared perfectly. We got charged for a side dish that we ordered but was never served. We pointed out and they fixed the bill with no problem. I accidentally spilled 2/3 of my drink and had to order another one to replace. They didn't offer a complimentary replacement or any discount. Full charge. Once again, no big deal, but when they charge top dollar, one is expecting a different level of service.
The server was very rude and was very rushing. She didn’t even ask if I wanted any appetizers or any dessert. Just seemed like she didn’t want to be there at that moment in time.
We got Nick as our server and he was amazing! Helped guide with the menu and made it so fun! The bar tender Joe was also great and helped us with pre dinner drinks! We had some allergies at the table and the Sou chef came out to help! Comparable to a 5 star meal I have had in NYC and the service a 10!!!
The charcuterie board was great but both mine and my dates entree’s were under seasoned.
Not sure if it was a bad night for the chef but every single dish had issues. Ordered the bone in New York strip Medium Rare and it came out well done, my wife ordered the mashed potatoes and they has some kind of OVERPOWERING condiment that they were inedible. Clam Chowder soup was cold.
Service on the other hand was very good.
Great eggs beni w/house-made English muffin.
We had a wonderful dinner. Urban farmer is a great restaurant!
Service was nice
A bit slow on the reorder on the drinks but all and all I will definitely return
the restaurant was not crowded. given the seating location i requested. my companion ordered a 6oz steak cooked medium well. i specifically asked the server if the kitchen could cook steaks to order. he told me they could cook steaks any way they are ordered.
meals arrived. mine was fine. steak was cooked medium rare, not medium well. i didn't send it back because we were there to dine together. sending it back meant i would eat alone or let my dinner get cold. my companion ate around the edges of the steak and took the rest home to cook it properly for lunch the next day. urban farmer bills itself as a steak house. great steakhouses cook steaks to satisfy the customer, not the kitchen. there is no excuse for the undercooked steak. either the meats they offer are the cheapest cuts that become tough if cooked past medium rare, the person cooking the steak doesn't care how it is cooked, or they don't have the skill required to achieve the requested doneness. i dine at urban farmer on a regular basis (when they are open)
and i always enjoy my meal. when they are selling that steak for $39 it should be perfect - no excuses. when i want my next steak i will go to el gaucho. suggest you show this review to the kitchen manager and the person who cooked (?) that steak.
Loved our experience at Urban Farmer. Wonderful service and staff
Atmosphere was awesome, music was fun, food was INCREDIBLE. Service from Nick was some of the best me & my family have ever had. Great first time back at a restaurant & will be tough comparing any outing to this one for the near future! Order the dry aged ribeye if you can.
Steaks were great, especially the coulette, but the sides left a lot to be desired. I’ve been here three times and I just don’t feel it measures up to the price. Wine and cocktails are good, but menu sides needs some creativity and flavor. The music was loud and perhaps where we sat was especially difficult to carry a conversation near the speakers. Service was excellent though.
So glad to see that they are open now. We used to go there for their amazing food & atmosphere for dinners. The menu has changed though, a bit limited options now. I was disappointed to see that Roasted Duck Breast is no longer on the menu as that was very tasty (often what I used to order). Service was a bit slower than usual, and our waiter forgot about the yummy Cornbread that we really missed (and we eventually asked for it). Crab Cakes were wonderful, Ribeye perfectly cooked. They guided us with the sparkling wine options, and we enjoyed their recommendations. Don't forget to try their Brownie Sundae!
Went for a friends birthday and had an amazing time! Server was witty and social which we loved! Would definitely come back again for the environment and food!
Everything was amazing I think the best thing on the menu by far is the large filet mignon and Nick
Nick has a sense of humor that is raw and intelligent and sarcastic and made our eating pleasure 10 times it’s good we are grateful the restaurants amazing thank you thank you
Food was pretty good, lackluster risotto but the rest was pretty amazing. Price is quite high for what you get, and I am not cheap when it comes to going out to dinner.
The food has seriously gone downhill. Their steak menu is much smaller than it used to be and the quality of the cook is super low. We won't be back and plan on finding a new steakhouse to go to from now on.
We ordered two New York steaks -- one medium-rare and one rate. Both arrived well-done. After being disappointed in the sides we got last time we visited (mac and cheese and mashed potatoes), we decided to opt for the french fries. They were terrible.
The drinks were awesome. The service was awesome The food is absolutely not worth the price in any way. We left wishing we had gone somewhere else.
food and drink was quite good. So glad to see this place open and serving - it is a gem of the Portland food scene!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Waiter Nick, best in Portland!
Wonderful food and amazing service! Chef brought us a special appetizer. Couldn’t ask for a better birthday dinner!
We were fortunate to catch the last brunch before the next round of Covid shut downs. Even with that looming our server Kiefer was upbeat and fun. I had the Benedict- which was amazing, maybe the best I’ve ever had. My friends had the shrimp omelet and tofu scramble- two thumbs up there. Will definitely return
First time in Portland and we were looking for a last minute place for a drink. Would recommend. ( this is in a hotel btw... Nine, I think). Good drink selection. Best IPA I’ve ever had. Also great cocktail. They’re menu selection is limited and a bit pricy. We weren’t hungry, but got one of the cheese plates. It was just right. Quiet and calming ambiance. Good way to end an evening of travel. Check it out.
Had a great time with my boyfriend for a fun date night! We will definitely be coming back either for their brunch or for a nice date night! The service was fantastic, as always. Of course the food was divine!
Delicious brunch. Choices were creative. Four people choose four different items. All were well presented and very tasty.
Very nice place. I hate where it is located due to homeless..walking by someone literally doing drugs in front of the hotel with us walking by (my 10 year old daughter) was not something ill do again however the place is SO nice and food great. Just wish the downtown businesses would start standing up to the city leaders or they'll be gone when people like us fail to return solely based on the lack of policing and cleaning up the area! I feel bad for great places like this.
Always nice to brunch or dine at Urban Farmer. It was nice to be able to go back after 7 months of covid-closure. Food was good as always. Thank you!!
Great to see Urban Farmer reopen - they've created a good environment and felt safe. It was a limited menu, since they just opened. However, it was so great to be out and enjoyed our evening.
One of my favorite spots in Portland. Great food, venue, and service.
Waiter was informative and new his food and recommended the perfect steak. It was delicious and prepared perfectly.
Great service and food! So glad to have this amazing restaurant open again!!
Our server Nick was great! We had a nice time.
So glad to see that Urban Farmer is open once again. The food is still delicious and Nick provided amazing service. In a time when so many restaurants are closing, it's so important that places like Urban Farmer has survived. They've refined their menu - all the favorites are still there with some new ones. Plus, they are taking the new distancing precautions very seriously. Felt very safe dining there.
This place is definitely a "splurge" but well worth the cost if you love beef and good wine!
