   Although a chef made a big error, the manager did exactly as they should and fixed the problem immediately. I was happily surprised to know that customer service is not dead, but alive and thriving at Urban Farmer.

    Went for breakfast. One of us ordered pancakes, the other eggs, chicken-cherry sausage and fruit. Have to say everything, including the coffees, were very good. Exception was the fruit cup, but I can't remember the last time I had good cantaloupe or honeydew, so nothing the restaurant could have done. If your in the area or staying at the Nines Hotel, stop in for breakfast.

    So disappointed, I really wanted this to be good. Out of town business dinner entertaining clients. The service was very slow, 10 minutes to even take our drink order, then 20 to take our dinner order. The food took over an hour to serve. I ordered my steak med-rare and it came out like a charcoal briquette. I would have eating it well done just to not by that guy to send it back but the waitress agreed this was unacceptable and I couldn’t even cut it. To be honest this is the first meal I’ve ever sent back. To top it off my new steak didn’t come out for another 30 minutes. Everyone had finished their meal so I have to take it to go to my hotel. The manager and waitress were very nice and agreed this was not ok so they comped the bill which was nice. My clients liked their meal but both agree their steak was also overcooked but at least edible.

    Really was looking forward to eating here and found somethings interesting but was reminded of a valuable lesson….ask the price when requesting an add to your dish. Ordered the chop salad and asked for a protein add…like a few bites of sirloin or something….received the $15 salad and 4 slices of steak (supposedly 6 oz. )…it was a $48 add! Was very surprised and thought the salad was just fair to begin with. Might go back again for a drink and appetizer , the interior is interesting and the servers were great but would never think of this restaurant as a go to fine dining spot.

    Delicious food. The sides are huge so you can definitely share. My husband and I ordered the filet. Perfectly tender and delicious. I definitely recommend.

    Excellent service. Cocktails were good. I had the dry aged prime tenderloin. Although the meat and aging were good, I ordered rare and got medium well. I’m not one to waste and send back, but not what I was hoping for. Everything else was excellent though.

    We came back for brunch, and we had a great experience. We like the open area concept like you are dining at a farm table. We also had a better table compared to last night. We ordered and tried a Shakshuka. Our server explained what that meal was. We enjoyed that, and the lobster omelet was good too. The server was friendly and accommodating. And apologies for forgetting their name. Overall, we had two excellent experiences dining at the Urban Farmer, the first was dinner last night, and the second was this brunch. We definitely recommend for visitors to Portland.

    Celebrating end of lent and also a romantic date, we were happy with the host and all other staff who were fantastic. Charming and funny staff and still clearly professional.     We were greeted with a smile and taken to a nice table, busser came up right away and offered beverages along with water. Sever approached and introduced herself with a smile and asked if we have been there before. Told he no and she immediately walked us through everything. Made suggestions as well.     Experience started badly. Greeter let us stand at reception for an extended period. I asked one employee if I was at the correct area to be seated and she pointed out the Greeter and then she made her way over. Then she couldn't find my reservation and i asked if she needed my reservation # at that point another employee came over who eventually seated us. With that said, food was outstanding and our waiter Nicole was fantastic!

    Great server and service. Took good care of it. I had fish and we shared my wife's steak (which was huge). The Steelhead was amazing along with the apple/sweetpotato hash. Loved it!

    -Amazing ambiance -Minimal surrounding noise -Delicious food-(best corn bread I’ve ever had) Definitely recommend listening to the chef’s recommendation regarding the temperature of the meat cooked, even if it’s against your “normal preference”! -Overall 11/10 experience!     The food was okay but the service was terrible. We were at the table for 10 minutes before the waiter came by and then it was another 10 minutes before we got water or coffee. Even when we got our coffee they didn’t bring the sugar or cream for another 10 minutes or so and at this point we hadn’t even ordered. I asked for more water three times and never got it. The waiter apologized that he was really busy with another large party but the management needs to do better on staffing and training

    Every year my boyfriend and I celebrate our anniversary as well as his birthday at Urban Farmer and last night was wonderful. Our server was fantastic. The food was delicious. The one issue we had with our meal was rectified immediately. I wish I wrote down our servers name so I could give her a shoutout. Girl, you are amazing! ❤️🖤
