I usually have dinner here when I stay at the hotel anyway. The food is amazing and the service outstanding. Our waiter Nick was just a gem and very attentive. Will be back soon and also recommend it to my friends!

Great food and service. We enjoyed a Sunday brunch celebrating a wedding engagement. The restaurant has a cool casual feel. It’s very light and bright which we like. The food was delicious and service was quick.
We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is amazing. A bit pricey but worth every dime. This is the second time I have dined there and it did not disappoint. The steaks are so tender and cooked exactly as requested. Their corn bread is like having desert before dinner. And the Yukon Purée Potatoes are unbelievable.

Fabulous food, great presentation with super fresh produce from their own rooftop garden. A no waste restaurant. How cool is that?

Loved the ambiance and the service was wonderful. We were here for lunch but would happily come back for date night!

Overall food was mediocre. One example, ordered steak medium and it came well done. We are not ones that typically send food back, but did considering price. Next steak was served rare and luke warm. Experience ended with being charged $29 for valet parking. At those prices I expect a whole lot more. It was a Sunday night and not many other diners. Service was fine, no complaints there.

The food and drink service was slow, however the bus staff kept the water full and monitored the table. Cocktails from the bar were well executed. Unfortunately, at the price point charged here and with the menus focus on a variety and quality of steak cuts you expect flawless execution on your steak. That was not the case. My steak was ordered medium-rare and came out closer to blue with little color or seasoning on the exterior. My wife's filet, also ordered medium-rare come out medium-well with brown almost to the middle. We noted at the table across from us two people's filets appeared perfectly cooked with a consistent red throughout, so maybe there is some inconsistency in the kitchen staff. Soup was okay but barely warm. All in all it was quite disappointing for the price tag. The server did comp a round of drinks based on the steak, which was appreciated.

We came here for our 20th Anniversary. Everything about our experience here was excellent. Both of our meals were cooked perfectly. There was enough space that it wasn’t overly noisy.

Unique dishes with unexpected combinations of ingredients that really taste good together. I love their mushroom-growing terrariums. Servers were friendly, professional, and not intrusive.
We started with the cheese board, opting for chef’s choice. Besides all the delicious treats on it, it was fun to nibble at it while we chatted and waited for our main course. My son’s medium-rare culotte was done perfectly. I had halibut with saffron spaetzle and it was outstanding.

Disappointed with Wagu beef - nothing special. Have had better in other venues. Veggies were ok. Not impressed with this restaurant. Will stick to the East side from now on.

Was traveling up from Bay Area and staying in the hotel.
I taught the cuts were nice, but very expensive.
I understand it’s quality meat but I feel like I should get to exchange a few emails with the animal at that price.
Salad was good, sides were just so so, carrot side dish was very hard on the teeth.
I think the staff made for a nice evening, all the staff were great.
I had breakfast there the next morning and was lovely and good value for money on that visit.

Overall it was very nice, my steak was good but not what a 75 dollar wagyu steak should taste like. They don’t cook it like a normal steakhouse which might be better for some people but I didn’t appreciate it. Other food like the sides were amazing and this is a nice place.

Everything was very good. The portions were larger than I expected.
I had the French toast, my friend had the chicken and biscuit. We also ordered a side of bacon and the fennel sausage. Both came with 3 pieces.
I left 1/2 if my toast uneaten because I was full. My friend ate his breakfast, but the sausage was mostly uneaten (due to portion size).
It’s nice to eat out and get a real meal instead of small plates.
The service was friendly and efficient. I would go back 😊

The meal was excellent but we were very disappointed in the ambience. It was an atrium with no outlook. The music was an odd assortment that we finally managed with some humor. The service was good. I am not sure if I will be back.

It was our first time at the Urban Farmer and in Portland. For the most part our meal was very good, except for the side dish of spinach - very salty.

This place is amazing! We went here for the first time for my husband's birthday and it was the best choice! Not only was it the best steak I've ever had, but the service from Chris was outstanding! The GM even stopped by and greeted us at our table to make sure we were having a great experience. We will definitely be back.

I consider this a Special Occasion since we went to a Matinee of Phantom of the Opera and planned for a nice dinner downtown. If you want a cheap meal, don't come here. But if you want to get what you pay for - then you should go! From the location, décor, to the service, everything was great. Not too noisy, although we were there fairly early (5:45 for dinner). From the cornbread delivered hot out of the mini tin can it was cooked in, to the Steak Tartare (our main reason for coming), it was fantastic. Yes we shared the Key Lime dessert... we saved room for it. If you come for one thing - come for the fingerling potato tart side dish! My husband had steak and I had the bone-in pork tenderloin. Dress is casual, vibe is relaxed, it was great.

The service was excellent. Staff went above and beyond for our anniversary dinner. Food was great. Get the Mac and cheese side and steak sampler! Also, the bacon maple Manhattan !

They never disappoint! Always attentive. A manager checks in with us EVERYTIME we dine. The oysters are my favorite. Gotta get at least a dozen!

Always great food, served by friendly wait staff, cooked perfectly by the kitchen. Don't be afraid to ask for 1/2 an order, they are more than likely to accommodate you. It's pretty much a steak house but lots of offerings for a vegetarian or gluten free diet.

They made a consistently prefect poached egg with grits; grits, mind you that will knock you socks off and change your thinking after one bite.

Great new menu options: English Pea Soup with rooftop grown flowers. Salads have a secret to their dressing: rooftop honey! Try the seasonal heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad. Not your boaring caprese! Beautifully and artistically presented.

Urban Farmer Portland is truly amazing. I had dinner with my boss, who is well traveled and knows good food. He was beyond pleased with the meal. Everything we had was fantastic. The cornbread that is initially served is the best I've had with the exception of my mother's home baked. The steaks were simply incredible, so tender and flavorful. While a bit pricey, it was one of the best restaurants I have dined at in a long time.
