My husband and I celebrated our anniversary while in Portland for a conference. The staff at Urban Farmer treated us like royalty and made our anniversary very special. The food was delicious and our wait staff were amazing!

Usually I love coming here and doing the steak tasting. Sadly, this evening the steak was incredibly salty. Also, felt like we hardly saw our server. I brought my boyfriend for his first visit for his birthday and mentioned it in my reservation, but they didn't bring over a celebratory dessert. If this was my only visit, I definitely wouldn't be back.

My boss and his guest had a most enjoyable meal, although for the second time UF did not have my OpenTable reservation in their books. Otherwise all was fine.

Appetizers were great, particularly cheese selection and charcuterie. Seafood bisques was delicious, and halibut dinner was excellent. Steaks were cooked properly, but not as tender and tasty as other top steakhouses. French fries are great.

Horrible experience. Save your money and go to Podnahs bbqpit.
When you pay 2x for a meal your expectations are immediately high. This was a catastrophic failure. Server was friendly but too relaxed, telling of the food she and others were sampling in the back from the previous brunch.

Ordering NY sampler and wagyu ribeye with a few sides.

Cornbread came out on a dirty plate. Server almost dropped the cornbread can on our table when she noticed it and had to explain that “eggs always get stuck on plates”. New cornbread was delivered .

Steaks came out over cooked and lacking the flavor or tenderness that was expected. For a $70 Wagyu ribeye I expected heavenly, but I could have cooked this at home.

My fork was sticky: asked for a new fork. Fries were delivered and we found a random 1” square piece of packaging in the fries.

Had the kitchen redo the M Ribeye which was cooked MW. Came out MR this time, but the rest of my party had already finished their meal.

Manager comp’ed the fries and a bottle of water. Wow! Thanks! (Sarcasm)

$200 check with-out drinks. Lackluster sides and a steak I could have grilled ... (I doubt they really gave me Wagyu.)

Not recommended.

I came here for Mother's Day brunch and it was amazing the spread was beautiful and very nicely executed the staff was very friendly we were seated promptly and I over all loved my meal

Our server was awful. Mother’s Day brunch and buffe plates piled up on our table and she acted put out that she had to remove them. No clean utensils. Slow to refill water glasses.

We made a reservation - and the restaurant called to confirm the reservation, and sent a text message to confirm the reservation, and when we arrived - at the time of the reservation - our table was not ready, although the restaurant was far from full.
I appreciated the reasonably low noise level.
Food was very good, although my 8 year old grand-daughter felt that her waffle could have been more crunchy.
For the rest of us, our food and cocktails were good.

Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast/brunch - it was superb! Quality ingredients, portions, and awesome atmosphere. Loved their homemade English muffin and the ham was one of the best pairings with my breakfast. I would love to try lunch and dinner here in the future

Great steaks and some of the best sides i have ever had (spinach dish and the potato tart) wine list is just a bit pricey. Not much under $100 but this is a high end place so comes with the territory. Worth a visit

This restaurant was amazing! Our seat was in the back immersed with shelves full of canned vegetables and low light, a high end country feel. The waitress was very accommodating as I asked a million questions regarding the menu. The food was made just as I asked (I know exactly how I want my steak and most get it wrong) she really listened to me and the chef had it dialed! The potatoes were to die for.. it was in a dish with with crust that melted in your mouth. Spendy but worth it. The steak is seasoned quite a bit, I love it but if you don’t like salt or seasoning just ask to disregard the seasoning, I know they will be happy to accommodate! I would go here again and again!

The restaurant is in hotel on the 8th floor. It's beautiful inside and the service is fantastic. However the steak that I had which was a free-range steak was disappointed. The other appetizers mediocre. I usually don't leave negative reviews and I wouldn't call this a negative review but I would say that the steak wasn't as I expected. And I don't believe a $50 should have gristle.

We went for the steak. It was good, but not great. Not worth the price. The fries were boring and not very flavorful. McDonalds has better fries. Everything was à la carte.

Everything was delicious- the cornbread, popcorn grits and the brownie thing that comes in a jar that had us all fighting because we only ordered one- were the highlights. The only hiccups were they were reluctant to split checks (we had 5 checks and some guests drank and I had ordered appetizers and dessert and wanted to take care of that) and one of the guests who was recovering from surgery couldn't just order a smaller meal (he wanted an egg and some hollandaise or something along that line) The server was wonderful- I felt like she might have been encumbered by company policy with the check and the request for a smaller meal- but it all worked out.
I have been a couple of times now and will definitely come back.

I have dined at Urban Farmer many times now and I’ve always been impressed. The food is always top notch and the staff is knowledgeable and professional, which I think is essential at an upscale restaurant. I always enjoy the variety and expertise of the wine list as well.

The big disappoint of the night for us was the table we were seated at, despite having made a reservation a week prior. The table itself was tiny, it was way in the back of the restaurant, and it was shoved completely against a wall (with jars of food on display). We spent over $300 that night on dinner and drinks for two, and unfortunately the terrible seating is the most memorable thing.

We still had a decent time, as the food and service is always excellent. But I can confidently say that I never want to spend that kind of money on food and wine and be that uncomfortable ever again.

We found the food overpriced and a bit typical. The restaurant was extremely noisy as well. It was near impossible to caring on a conversation. We asked to move tables and were told by our waiter that the restaurant was full despite many open tables.

First and last time here. Service was pathetic, our hostess spent more time with us than our waitress and even that wasn’t much. No one ever asked if we enjoyed our food or needed anything else. We were sat and it was ten minutes before we were asked if wanted drinks— by the hostess. Food would be reasonably priced if it came with excellent service otherwise whats the point. There are too many fantastic restaurants in Portland to ever waist you time here.

We had a baby, which I noted on our reservation, and they seemed bothered trying to accompany her. Hostess was nice, but it was very obvious that having a baby in this environment was wrong. Easter is a family holiday. Having children at an Easter brunch is going to happen. We come here every year. This is the first w a newborn. We felt somewhat unwelcome because of the Baby. I wish they would have made it more clear that small children are not welcome.

The meal was wonderful. Terrific quality ingredients, prepared in a very comforting yet creative manner. Some of the best quality meats and vegetables I have had in recent memory. My only one qualm was regarding a special request made to the staff earlier in the day regarding the dinner being a celebration of my anniversary. No acknowledgment of the occasion was made. I brought this to the attention of the manager on the phone after our visit, and he was genuinely apologetic. It was one minor blemish on an overall stellar experience! Will definitely be back again!
