   Our first experience at Urban Central was fantastic. This time was mediocre, unfortunately. We ordered calamari and the plate was just sad. The fish dip was missing the dip. And, the drinks didn’t taste great. Not sure what happened.

   Food fresh and delicious and beautifully served. Relaxed restorative atmosphere, decor and lighting. We’ll be back!

   Family of 4. The calamari and lollipop lamb chop appetizers were amazing. Then the meal came and the burger was very average, the 1/2 roast chicken wasn’t good, the fish dip was really bad and the filet my daughter had was good. Service was lacking. Spent the last half of the meal without any drinks and couldn’t find our server. Won’t be returning.

   Hello Brian. Thank you for communicating some of the issues you experienced with us this past Saturday. I've already spoken to the server who took care of you about your comments. I sincerely apologize if you felt that service was lacking towards the end of your meal. I do remember visiting your table myself and asking how everything was, and you told me it was good. We're always willing to correct any food issues anybody has right on the spot to ensure our guests are satisfied. I did notice that the items you listed as being bad or not good were customized as per your requests. As you can see from our other reviews, we pride ourselves not only on the high quality of our food, but also the exceptional service we provide. I'd welcome another opportunity in the future for you to join us.

   This place - eerily empty on a chilly winter Saturday night - needs a bit of tweaking - but also deserves some delicious high marks at the same time. #1: Food is carefully prepared and well plated [the chef knows his way around a parsnip pureé, let me tell you!] #2: One menu item was far too salty and returned to the kitchen even after we asked at time of ordering if it was salty. The Octopus was marinated and therefore saltier than normal. But they didn't warn us and served it anyway. Big fat NO! Shame, as it was beautifully tender and a decent-sized portion (All big pluses for this dish). if you're not very salt-sensitive then order it! 3: Snaps to the chef: A properly seared duck breast enteé at a perfect medium-rare temperature as ordered and served over a bed of parsnip puré that I wanted to bathe in. Literally. The decorative blueberry gastric left me wanting more. The acid balance was slightly lacking- but forgiven since it was so darn delicious! #4: Noice level and ambiance are that of a bar or dressed-up pub. If you are OK with slightly loud disco-mix tapes with your finer dining fare, then come on in. If you're looking for a more peaceful dining experience, rethink your visit- or save for a more energetic mood. #5: The wait staff was friendly and well-trained with #2 noted above. #6: Lack of parking - street meters only. When you don't have a parking lot, you may want to mention this and tell diners to arrive a bit ahead of their reservation. We got lucky and found a convenient spot- but I wouldn't depend on it next time. #6: Wine list? Non-existent. Glass pours? A level above jug wine- which makes NO SENSE in a restaurant with food of this level. I. DON'T. GET. IT. I hope they read this and take note. And Step up your advertising. Why were there not more guests in here?

   Highly recommend!! New regular restaurant alert!! Interior look & feel was modern but comfortable. This place seems to be newly open but doesn’t have that new restaurant training wheels. Welcome greeting by informative staff who helped us through our food & drink questions. Holiday cocktail was festive and Instagramable while my beer was frosty glass cold. Our server Juan suggested new menu item of Brussel Sprout Au Gratin… Star of the show! High variety on menu, will definitely come back to try more!

   It was a weeknight and it was was cold and damp outside so it was no surprise that when we arrived at Urban Central for their Happy Hour, it was very quiet . A glass of wine was only $8 a glass and it was 20% off on any of their appetizers. We made a meal out of appetizers. (flatbread with figs, chicken wings, lamb chops), and two side dishes (Brussels sprouts and truffle fries). The food was very good and the discount during Happy Hour made it a great deal. We have dined there previously for dinner and we were likewise very pleased with the experience. It was on a Saturday evening and the place was busy and the atmosphere lively. We highly recommend trying Urban Central.

   This is the 2nd time I have been to Urban Central and will definitely go back. Food is delicious, service outstanding and you can have a conversation and hear each other.

    Not bad but not great. The server and host were absolutely lovely. The food pretty middle of the road. The crispy salmon was good but the green mashed potatoes and veg were not. My friend said the burger was mediocre and the fries looked good but were oily and chewy.
