We did not dine at lunch because there was no notification on their website that said brunch until 1:00 p.m. and regular menu starts at 2:00 p.m. We were there at 1:00 p.m. Service was terrible the place was practically emply and they had 3 wait staffs working. None came over until we flagged down the hostess who took our order for drinks never asked us if we wanted another so we paid our check and left

It's unfortunate that the service was so poor. I've stayed at the Gwen before and eaten at the terrace restaurant several times which is why I recommended it to friends when we were looking for a place to have brunch. Our server greeted us with menus and took drink orders but then disappeared. We waited for over 30 minutes and finally got up to ask if he could come back to take our order and provide drinks we had ordered. He came back, took the order and then disappeared again. Several other wait staff saw us sitting there the whole time and even as we tried to get their attention to ask for someone, they didn't stop. I finally got up, went inside to the bar and ordered drinks and brought them back to the table. The place was not busy or crowded. Maybe 10 people out there and almost no one inside. Would not return or recommend.

The reviews do not match the experience. They only highlight was our server. She was good and very friendly. Now, for the food, mediocre at best. For 4 people that travel and enjoy eating out a lot, this was well in the bottom rung of experiences. A dry turkey sandwich. A over cooked Hanger steak. And a few other dishes that just did not come up to par for a higher end restaurant. Not sure what the root cause is, but it has the glitz to make you feel special, but the let down is the product. The food was on par with a Denny's or Applebee's.

Everything was delicious. I was hoping for a spot on the outdoor rooftop area, but it wasn’t available to book so we sat in the indoor lounge instead at a table right next to the kitchen and bar area. It took incredibly long for us to even get our orders in, and the food and drinks all took a while to come out too, which is honestly the only negative. Otherwise, great spot.

I was celebrating my birthday, my party and I had a lovely experience. We enjoyed small bites (chicken wings, fish tacos, the grilled shrimp was delicious) The ambience and atmosphere was great, the wait staff was attentive and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Because I was celebrating my birthday, the staff surprised me with a birthday brownie that was divine, I also ordered the key lime cheese to take home it was delicious! I recommend and will be back! Thank you for making my birthday special!

Upstairs at the Gwen is a bargain during happy hour, 4-530. Two flatbreads, hummus, bread service, cocktails, and wine are all priced at $12. The food is delicious. We wanted to eat outside but there were not enough umbrellas for shade which was the only down side. Service is attentive but not overbearing. Inside or out it is a perfect way to end the day. With these bargain prices it should be packed wall to wall but while partially full there were plenty of seats. I recommend this place especially at happy hour.

Food was good but small menu for brunch. Service prompt and friendly. We orignally sat out on the terrace which wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped but moved inside when the weather changed, overall a good experience but no particularly special.

It was a very nice space, however it was a bit disappointing that the fire pit was not working despite making the reservation requesting the fire pit table.
