Upstairs at Bridges
Reservations are for the 2nd floor dining room only
Can’t beat the view and loved the new menu! The Shrimp Cakes and Halibut were especially great!
I made a reservation here on open table for 9:30 and when I got there the pace was empty all except for the staff who was sitting at a back table eating. My husband and I stated that we have a reservation and one of them told us that since it was dead that they've decided to stop serving food even though they are supposed to be open until 10:30pm. I drove all the way from Tsawwassen just to eat there. It would had been my 2nd time dining upstairs, ive been downstairs several times.
It was nice - fabulous location on the upper patio. The only complaint from our table was the very small serving for king crab legs.
The wine and our (4) dinners were good. The order of a med-rare steak needed a redo. Second time around was better. The ambiance was the most disappointing after making our reservation and counting down the days to meet our dinner-dates on the Friday night of a weekend in the city. I had enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends the last time I was in Vancouver, but we were downstairs, I must admit my expectations were pretty high.
The evening was beautiful - was able to get an outside table for two - great weather and scenery!
Service was very good.. a bit disappointed with not more FISH options - only haddock and salmon... no scallops, but ALL food was delicious and really glad we chose to come to this restaurant - would definitely recommend...
I called to find out if it was a pre fix menu. Had to talk to 4 people before someone knew the menu. Forgot to bring my drink, staff ignored you, Ordered the risotto ($23) was 3 bites and no protien. I added 5 prawns for $8 and they only put 4 on the plate. Ran out of muscles and we were there at 5:00 pm. Children running around restaurant playing hide and seek. The only good thing about this restaurant is the view but you get the same thing at the sand bar. It is cheaper there and a way better experience. Will not be back.
Despite a slight hiccup by not receiving cream with our coffee after asking, our service was very good and professional. We always enjoy the beautiful view and lovely food.
This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Inexcusable lack of service, filthy table, and cold, yet stale, pre packaged starters. Was never notified that their menu was preset at $40, even with a reservation confirmation made over the phone. We were not greeted for 13 minutes, and our table was coffee stained and covered in crumbs. The starter was a basket of grocery store muffins and cold croissants. 50 minutes later, we finally got our brunch. We ordered the exact same thing, and yet they managed to bring us two incorrect orders. I wish I was overexaggerating as to how poor of an experience this was. The waiter did not know the price of any of the drinks, was short and disgruntled the entire time, and never once came to check in. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. I take the aquabus to work everyday, and ensure every tourist knows to not eat at Bridges.
The food wasn’t too exciting. We ordered the Mother’s Day menu and the toast served was over toasted and food wasn’t special. It was okay.
Everything was perfect except for the fact that my gluten-free father didn’t have many options. We wasn’t able to have the starters of baked goods nor the desserts. He was only able to have one of the two gluten free entrees. That was a pretty big bummer. It’s too bad because the rest of the experience was great! The server took a while to get our drinks, but it wasn’t a big deal.
Wouldn’t recommend to gluten free friends.
You come here for the setting. The food was fine, the service was fine, but the setting is outstanding. I am talking about the upstairs portion of the restaurant. Sitting out on the dock is lovely in good weather, but the lounge inside is noisy and has televisions and both spaces are very casual.
For a smart casual restaurant we were disappointed with the very casual welcome and the very casual attire of the hostess. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we were seated at a window table-fabulous view! The menu is very limited but the food was excellent! The service was very good. Overall good but not quite the "smart" evening we were anticipating!
For a Saturday night the upstairs was worse than a morgue! Only three tables, music was dreadful, atmosphere was cold and drab, we were glad to eat and run, not a fun place.
Great food, great view of the downtown and false creek water.
Nothing beats the ambience of a sunset over the Burrard Street Bridge. Well, almost nothing. When you pair it with the friendly service of Andree and when you taste the excellent food (chicken supreme in my case) you have an unforgettable evening.
Valentines dinner with our baby girl
Wonderful experience because our server made everything comfortable for us because we had a infant with us.
Very much resented being called by them, three days before valentines when there were no other options, to be told that the chef had decided on a set menu for valentines and that it would be $75. Been going to Bridges for years and will never go again.
Extremely disappointed as we have been here before and had a good time this time last year.
Service was awful, the waitress was robotic and disinterested and did not know standard serving etiquette.
Zero atmosphere along with allowing a large family party with four screaming kids.
The standard menu was not available, only the dine out, although the food was good to be fair.
We will not risk going there again at those prices. Would have expected at this class of restaurant for them to have taken control of the noisy family situation but there was not a manager in sight, just two inexperienced waitresses.
Oh and got overcharged and had to point that out to the waitress. I’ve never complained online before, but that was awful.
Food was delicious, rich in flavours overall everyone was happy with the choices and selection. We had a beautiful city view.
Good food. But Vancouver really loves their Dine Out here, lots of people and lots of noise.
This restaurant has a magnificent waterfront view that is iconic to Vancouver. The service is excellent and I would recommend it for a special night out or when you are showing guests around town. The restaurant is divided into the upstairs portion and the downstairs bar portion. It is a bit confusing as only the upstairs can be reserved through Open Table.
Too expensive for the food and service provided. Wonderful ambiance
recommend to come up with new desserts, seems its the same as 2 years ago! Otherwise all good!
Highly recommend this restaurant. Service was excellent.
Service was prompt and truly excellent. New menu was interesting. The mussel in coconut curry sauce was to die for. The mains less so. They provided a complimentary dessert for my birthday without any prompting. Good and reasonably priced wine and cocktail list. Could have a quiet conversation without loud music intruding into it. Great view of the water from upstairs window table.
We all loved this restaurant that had a wonderful view, great cocktails, good service and delicious food. We were thoroughly spoiled. The fireplace was also a lovely touch.
Lovely location with both views and ambiance and an extremely well presented tasty dinner
Came here for our anniversary and the food is still amazing despite the change in ownership. Both the ravioli and steak were nicely plated with layered flavor profiles!
Amazing experience every year!
Ordered the lobster n salmon both were under cooked. I guess this is the way they prefer it.
Visiting from Nashville, great dinner, excellent ambiance
Nice place to eat on Granville Island. Steak was our main course. Good salads. Not busy upstairs in a busy downstairs restaurant with a fine view of Vancouver skyline.
Loved it there, food was great, service was outstanding and the atmosphere and view were perfect.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Bridges. The Halibut was delicious. I would have liked to have seen a bit more seafood offerings on the menu, but everyone at the table loved their choices. Sitting outside, right next to the marina, at the waterfront on False Creek, on a warm September evening made the whole meal even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional as well. I would highly recommend this restaurants to out-of-towners.
As usual we received wonderful service and great food! Thanks Bridges!
Kudos to Andre and the chefs for accommodating the requests of my picky eaters 😊
We came here for my fiancé’s birthday. The view was amazing as expected. Definitely recommend sitting out on the patio on a nice warm evening. We ordered the ravioli and prawns and tenderloin steak. It was very good except the steak was a bit more on the rare side even though we asked for medium rare. The night before I had called in to request for a seat with a view and a happy birthday message on our dessert. I was disappointed there was no birthday message when our dessert arrived! We usually don’t go for dessert at restaurants except on special occasions and one reason was for the birthday message. The chocolate cake we ordered was also rather mediocre (but the vanilla gelato paired with it was delicious). Save for the lackluster ending to the meal, it was overall a good experience mainly for the view and outside dining atmosphere.
Our waiter was fantastic! We had a lot of fun with him
We were on vacation ... first time in Vancouver. Wanted a nice restaurant with a scenic view ... Bridges delivered on both! Based our selection of Bridges on OpenTable reviews and the restaurant's website. Granville Island is quirky/touristy, but once upstairs at Bridges we felt removed from that. The food was delicious and service great. It was not crowded at all, and sometimes that makes you wonder why. But it was a Tuesday night, so we attributed it to that. Restaurant prices in general in Seattle and Vancouver seemed high compared to our hometown of Baltimore. But the local seafood was so fresh, it was worth it!
We got married here several years ago and it was really nice to go back and dine. The quality and ambience was wonderful, only thing was depending on where you sit you might get hit by the sun as the sun sets. Beautiful view and overall we had a wonderful dinner!
