The female from Bulgaria (I think) was wonderful and the managers both checked on us. My husband mentioned to one of them that the steak knife wasn’t sharp and he said he had just gotten a new shipment in and would swap out. He said these were 3 years old. May want to reorder sooner next time. It was a great experience to remember when we are eating tuna fish and beans!

My server was really attentive and professional. He made great suggestions- all delicious.
The vibe of the restaurant was designed but not overly so. Great lighting.

This is one of our preference restaurants in Miami and we keep coming back, found the pasta dishes way overcooked, it’s a shame to have such a simple mistake leave a bad taste, needs to be corrected.

Beat meal I’ve had in months. Fabulous service that made us feel special. Wonderful pasta to start and fish that was to die for as our entree. Can’t wait to try Upland in NYC.

Taking a friend for his birthday. Did not know he is allergic to every cheese except mozzarella. Told waiter who did not advise against the gem salad and we reminded him when allergic friend ordered a pizza with mozzarella.
When it arrived, it was sprinkled generously with
Parmesan!!! Waiter said nothing, did nothing!!!
Friend was embarrassed and didn’t make a fuss but had nothing to eat.
Waiter should have removed the pizza!!!

A beautiful space, cheery service but mixed food. I’ve enjoyed my dining experiences at Upland in NYC but the food wasn’t great. Where the pizzas and pastas have always been crowd favorites in NYC, the margarita pizza was bland and the caccio pepe was served lukewarm.

Everything was great and we all really enjoyed the food. The shrimp appetizer was incredible, the pasta dishes were just right and the salmon was cooked perfectly cooked.
The only blemish on the evening was the attitude of the waiter, he made us feel unwelcome. I asked him how big the pasta dishes were to determine if my wife and I can share one as an appetizer, and he answer was “this is not Olive Garden “ I really did not appreciate the answer but didn’t want to make a scene. Otherwise it was great.

This is one of my favorite places to come back to. Ambiance, service, food, and drinks are always excellent. If you can go for the tasting menu - it’s more than worth it!

The food was amazing. We went for brunch on a Sunday and had a few things. I was able to try the hamachi crudo, chilaquiles, avocado omelette, avocado toast, side of bacon, pancakes, and bottomless rose. Everything was perfect from the kitchen. The chefs know what they’re doing. We spent about $80 per person which is normal if you’re trying different things and partaking in bottomless drinks for brunch. I was super disappointed with the service and ambiance. There was no background music or experience at all. The valet service was slow. The drink service was slow. The server was not up to par with the standards you would expect in a restaurant where you would pay $80 for an appetizer, a plate, and bottomless drinks. The host as well as the manager on duty were very accommodating but they can’t do the server’s job. Servers should bring plates for appetizers, check up on guests, make sure all the food arrives, and ensure a good experience. This is a basic requirement even in the cheapest of places. The food was a 10/10!!!!!!

Had The kale and sausage pizza and it was very good... Some of the best pizza I’ve had. I would love to be able to go back and try more things because everything on the menu looks great.

Service started out a bit slow at first, getting wine and wait staff to take order. The pizza, gem salad, flat iron steak and duck wings were all very good. But the potatoes and nudi that waiter had encouraged us to order, weren’t as good and we wouldn’t order again.

Food was delicious! However; all our food came out at the same time. We ordered a gem salad and meatball appetizer . Would of liked to eat them first then have the fish come a little later. The salad had too much dressing on it as I have had it before and loved it .
The cucumber cocktail was also delicious.

The meet and greet was very warm and welcoming. The service was good. The food was amazing!!! When we to decide to go back to South beach. Upland will be on are list of restaurants to go back too!!!!

Bar staff were awful to a friend who was there waiting for us. Very abrupt and dismissive. It was a Wednesday so not crazy busy. No excuse. Otherwise we loved it.
