I've been to this restaurant several times now and every time I go it's a delight. The food is fantastic, the service even better and the live music is so much fun. It's one of my favorite spots to go when I'm in the city.
The Brussel sprouts, short ribs and cocktails were awesome. Plus there was a fantastic band. We danced the night away. The crowd was very diverse and classy.
Very different food is better than usual and priced well for Chicago
It was a 20th anniversary. We’d enjoyed the restaurant in the past, but are unlikely to return again. Our server was extremely poor. He asked too early if we wanted to replenish our drinks, then never returned. He was generally attentive, and there were loads of servers and not that many tables with patrons. It took him so long time to offer us dessert menus and then to check back with us that we were no longer interested. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience, Which was disappointing since our first visit with friends was spectacular.
My woman and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had reservations for Saturday evening. Service was amazing. The atmosphere was dynamic. Romantic. It had been years since I had been to a supper club. This one did not disappoint. The food and whiskey was top-notch. DJ phenomenal. This will be a monthly stop for us. Keep up the great work.
Great entertainment. Band, singer, burlesque chick all on point! Saw everyone in the place enjoying themselves. On the REVISIT list! Thank you for a great night. 🖤
Live music. Loud but AMAZING. Appetizers were just ok. Service was great. Sides were awesome! Must try the Brussel sprouts. Drinks were fantastic. Would recommend this place to friends!
The service was very slow. We waited almost 30 mins before getting our first drink order. The table we were seated at wobbled and there was a partial wall blocking the view of the stage for one of us. There was no privacy, where we sat the couple sitting next to us were right on top of us. The food was good, portions were small and the way the food cam eout to the table in seperate presentations was disappointing.
Great night had by all
The ambiance is fantastic with lots of good people watching, great live music for a few hours, and then fun club music to dance to in the after hours. You can even enjoy dinner (careful, service is very slow) before going to the bar and lounge area for drinks and music. One stop shop!
amazing experience, we will be back!!
really enjoyed this restaurant. Will go back again to eat and listen to music.
It’s a beautiful restaurant with decent food. The service was terrible though which ruins the whole experience. Food was brought out in random order. The server disappeared for long periods of time and seemed pretty disinterested in our meal. We were there early evening and it wasn’t crowded so there was no excuse.
Too loud and difficult to see stage - otherwise - fantastic!
Amazing food service and ambiance.
As always. Great food with fantastic drinks. This is a wonderful place for happy hour-dinner.
Visiting son in Chicago. Wanted great bar, great food, music and ambience. Found it all in one spot. Had a blast!
They overbooked. Even with reservations we had to wait. Not good service.
I think I just found my new 'other' favorite place. I love the ambience here. My server's name was Kelsey, and she just made my first time visit so comfortable and pleasant. She was so warm, informative and attentive. I think I'll seek her out, every time I go.
...And that band tonight, was incredible....
Everything was terrific until the hostess told my guest that we needed to leave because we had been at the table for over two hours. We had not even gotten our check yet and we had spent over $1000 on food and wine. We host a lot of business meetings and events. We will never come back to Untitled again. The lack of maturity by the staff and poor fiscal decisions will prompt us to host all our business and social events somewhere else like Gibson’s or Mastro’s where they know their clientele and treat them according to how much business they provide.
Nothing else like this place. Loved the floor show. Five bars, great comfortable seating in the bar. (there are five bars.) Very good food, not overpriced.
This is without a doubt one of the best restaurant/bar‘s/live entertainment venues in the city of Chicago. From the outside it’s just a canopy over the door so if you’re not paying attention you would drive right by it. But once inside, it is an extremely large place with an upstairs and a downstairs. I came here with my wife to celebrate our sixth year wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint at all!! I would recommend this place to anyone for a romantic dinner, or to party with friends. They have the largest whiskey selection in North America. The food is absolutely fantastic! I ordered the beef short ribs and they were so tender I could cut the meat with my fork. Seasoned to perfection, and the meat melted in my mouth. I also ordered the grilled brussels sprouts and they were absolutely delicious. After dinner, my wife and I went to another section of the restaurant that played live music, and after the live performance they have a DJ that spins live music till 3 AM. This place gets a big thumbs up from me! Anyone reading this, go check it out you won’t be disappointed.
We were told about Untitled and we're intrigued. It did not disappoint! The atmosphere was awesome. Loved the decor and the vibe. Food and service were exceptional. I'll be dreaming of the steak tartar until our next visit.
Innovative, gourmet farm to table dining. Chefs Ryan and Jesse make amazing dishes using a number of ingredients in each dish to create an extraordinary feast for your tastebuds. All in our party loved it and are looking forward to dining here again.
food was ridiculously good and drinks were great. Service was attentive. definitely would come back here and experience on a more crowded night with entertainment
Great food and drinks but very loud and hard to have a conversation. Music was good but loud
The food & ambiance were amazing. I love that you can have an excellent meal while watching/listening to an upbeat band & quick burlesque show. I only have one complaint. While we thoroughly enjoyed the band, it was so loud we could not even talk while they played. If we wanted to say something to each other (there were 3 of us), we literally had to yell in each other’s ear. But I must say, the food is outstanding. We had the beet salad, market salad, brussel Sprouts, rack of lamb & salmon-all excellent. This restaurant is great for a fun night out with friends. Oh yea...and the drinks were great as well!
Fun & energetic. Very good service staff. We overstayed our "2-hour table limit" since we were enjoying the band. A young manager approached us and politely asked us to leave our table, which was silly since there were several empty tables that were never seated. Our server apologized and said she had four open tables in her station with no one waiting. She served us another round of drinks which we finished and left (with even more open tables available). We had a late lunch and so we were just grazing on shared plates and not ordering full entrees. Our tab for four of us was $230 plus a $65 gratuity. We have been there previously and never had a manager approach us like that. If there had been a wait for the tables we would not have lingered. I think they need to train the management staff and treat guests as a being a little more valuable. I understand the club concept but a little more common sense would go a long way.
I went to Untitled with a large group for a 21st birthday celebration. We had a great time, but there was a mix of pros and cons.
- Cool, speakeasy atmosphere
- Accommodates large groups. It's a very large space. We came with 11 people and sat in the main area with live entertainment
- Live music was excellent. Definitely not the place for quiet dinner conversation as the music is loud, but when the live music starts it's very entertaining and fun and many people get up to dance.
- Dinner was delicious for the most part. Skirt steak, beef tenderloin, brussel sprouts and cauliflower gratin were a few favorites.
- The service: Super slow. It took 30 minutes to get our drink order taken when we sat down.
- Oysters: The oysters on the half shell were shucked terribly and had shell mixed in with the oyster.
- High prices for smaller food portions, but you're paying for the atmosphere and live entertainment.
We had a blast!!! The food was awesome and so was the live music!! I do not like the fact that the restaurant will not guarantee an advanced group reservation in the lounge. I really do not like that they impose a 2 hr limit on a table in the lounge!!
My new favorite Chicago restaurant! I'm sorry I didn't discover it earlier. The prawn appetizer, skirt steak and Brussels sprouts were amazing, layered in flavors. Salads are large enough to share. Can't wait to return!
Excellent and pleasure place for have fun ...
Love this place! The skirt steak is amazing and you can't beat the ambiance with live music and a dj.
Absolutely AMAZING! The food, the music, the drinks, the burlesque... Perfection!
Exceptional food, service and entertainment! We should go more often.
We loved the theme. The food was good but it turned out to be very pricey. While our waitress was pleasant, it became clear she was into padding the bill as we ordered way too many plates.
We felt she did not disclose the quantity of these small or large plates; therefore, we had no honest, transparent guidance. The bill padding theme was consistent as she was very interested in selling us expensive whiskey and wine. Lastly, although the band was good, they were way too loud for the space they were in; we needed to shout at our table to enjoy any conversation. I recommend this place but I caution future diners to order as you go, not in advance as is usual.
From the incredible live band to the largest whiskey collection I’ve ever seen, Untitled is a restaurant where I will certainly be returning.
The modern-day speakeasy ambience is unlike any restaurant I’ve visited in Chicago. Once you make your way down the grand staircase; you’re taken to a different era, where the service is impeccable and your every desire is anticipated and executed before you even have a moment to ask.
Great, dark and romantic. Terrific cocktail bar with a huge whiskey collection right in the heart of River North. Great people watching. DOn't get shuffled off to one of the side rooms if you want the full experience. Interesting diverse menu. The appetizers are very nice, Main course good. Desserts disappointing selection.
Overall a great night
Two of the three rooms had a great atmosphere. One had an old movie playing on a big screen and the other had a live band. Unfortunately we were sat in the bar area at a table that was so close to the table next to us that it was a little uncomfortable. The food was fair. We ordered the crispy pork which wasn’t more fat than meat. The duck fries tasted like they were reheated and were very greasy. The Brussels spout side was good but nothing special. My husband ordered a cocktail which the server said was strong but it wasn’t, and the glass was less than half filled. The server was very friendly, but were very disappointed in the overall experience and will not be returning.
First time here and it was great. We had a drink first before our table was ready. We had reservations and we had arrived early. My husband loved the old fashioned cocktail and I liked their Moscow mule cocktail. Once seated, our server was very accommodating and was very attentive until the band started playing and she became very busy. One thing that kind was kind of a bummer was I ordered an ice wine and my husband ordered an espresso for after dinner because we wanted to stay and enjoy the live music playing (which was fantastic!). The restaurant was out of both the ice wine and the espresso. We ended up getting something different but both were featured on their dessert menu and they were out of both things. Otherwise, food was amazing and service was great for the most part.
