Untitled Supper Club Ratings and Reviews
We went for the Feast show and dinner and it was amazing! We tried a lot of things, the cheese board was the best we ever had, the Duck Frites were perfect, and the skirt steak was cooked to perfection! We also tried the popcorn which was perfect and we tried the Brussels sprouts, I probably wouldn’t have them again!
The server couldn’t have been better! It was a really great night out, especially because the show was so good and we took our time, we were there from 8pm until midnight ! Highly recommend a night like this!!
I made the reservation with the express intent of having a girls night with the burlesque show, band and dancing. When we arrived we were put in a small side area because there was a large private party in the main area. Had no idea or may have made a different plan. We had to sit in the small area crowded with people for two hours waiting to go into main room for music. The bartender was upset and bought us drinks because we weren't made aware ahead of time or compensated for the inconvenience.
They were not having a good night. Our server was in the weeds and it took 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us after we sat down. My husband and I were there to celebrate, but it was pretty disappointing service that night. I wish we had gone somewhere else. The food is always good, but the service is inconsistent.
Place is absolutely amazing. Came in for dinner and the club opened. Was really cool. Problem is... dinner tables, where you spend hundreds of dollars for dinner do not have a view of the stage. They put a bunch of high top tables with people standing between you and the stage. So unfortunate. And don’t understand.
Also the value for the food is low. For example the shrimp appetizer. $6 for two shrimp. And not large shrimp. The medium 30-45 per pound size. Felt like it should have been 4. 2 was very stingy.
So, amazing atmosphere but get there early enough to be done eating before the show starts otherwise you will pay a ton and have no no no view of the stage.
We chose Untitled due to a recommendation regarding their Bourbon list. It is extensive and well worth the trip. The dinner menu was also highly recommended. The Skirt Steak and Salmon were wonderfully prepared. Our server was tremendous, although she may have had to many tables to cover for the evening. Overall, Untitled was well worth the visit!
I had been for drinks a couple times and had some bar bites that were truly delicious so we decided to try their dinner menu one night. The food was pretty good but I didn’t love the starter or the dessert. The steak, however, was amazing!!! Perfectly cooked - and honestly even in Chicago with all of our steakhouses I still find it really hard to get a properly cooked to medium rare steak! It’s almost always over or under but this was perfection and I ate every last bite along with the yummy mushrooms and rye sauce and croutons. The wine was ok but Ive definitely had better - cannot complain tho, with a half off special ;). Service sort of disappeared a bit as things picked up and a table very close by was ridiculously drunk and noisy. The dining room setup is not comfortably designed. We kept hearing another table right next to us who were obviously on a first date. Awkward!
We were advised on arrival that our table was only available for 2 hours and we would have to move to the bar when our 2 hours was complete. We were not advised of this when making the booking otherwise we would have selected an area of the restaurant which was not restricted.
Odd spot- supper club menu, nightclub atmosphere. Banquette tables in the large bar area are probably six feet by six feet- making for an awkwardly large square table with perimeter u shaped seating. Overhead down-lighting was a mood killer! No tablecloths, Formica tables. You couldn’t hear anything. Refilling water glasses was impossible without help from the patron (you had to push your water glass across the table to the busboy, and if seated at the edge of either banquette “entrance” you also had to participate in passing the entrees. The waiter was clearly not interested in getting the order correct or getting it to the table. Several repeated requests for the whereabouts of appetizers ordered went unaddressed. Some entrees showed up, some didn’t. Food was fine. Doubt I will be back.
We really enjoyed our experience at the Untitled Supper Club. The food was good, the service was excellent -- friendly and attentive but not intrusive -- and the ambiance was fun. We just had a regular table for two, but I noticed that you could have a very private booth if you wished (good for anniversaries or quiet parties or even a proposal). Our only problems were first, finding the place (it's hidden away down some stairs) and second, figuring out what "small plates" and "plates to share" meant (i.e., portion size), but our waitress was very helpful and patient. This was our first visit. We will definitely go back.
I had to be in Chicago for 24 hours and wanted a good and creative meal. I found Untitled Supper Club first from TripAdvisor, then researched with Open Table, Google, and Yelp. It was a perfect location from my hotel.
The food was tapas sized plates (big plates too much for one person main.) The variety of tastes was great. All plates were very nice (prosciutto & burratta on toast, friend mushrooms, oysters). I did not like the crab fritters as they were gummy and doughy on the inside. I would not call the item a fritter just because it is fried. It's more like a fried dumpling. I would have rated 4 stars but for this.
My server was fabulous from start to finish. I wish I remembered his name as he was a stand-out.
Amazingly, while I had booked my reservation in advance and had been seated quite comfortably at a two-top in a corner for over an hour, the hostess came to me three times asking if I wouldn't mind moving so they could accommodate a larger crowd. The first time I said I'd prefer not to. The second time I said if I would if a move to a table. She offered up a high-top or a couch. Meanwhile, consider I now have all of the plates I ordered, partially eaten, right in front of me. I told her that I wouldn't move to a high-top (I have short legs) and did not want to eat dinner on a couch. She came back again and offered to comp my meal. It became a principle at this point. I had been having a really lovely time, accomplishing exactly what I wanted to and the whole experience was marred by what I am sure they saw as a simple request.
I spent more than $100 on a dinner for one. I'm sure they would have made much more money off the larger party, but they have forgotten the importance of the customer experience.
I loved my experience at Untitled. The staff is amazing. The hostesses are very accommodating and all staff that I encountered were pleasant and professional. My only negative is that there is no handicapped accommodation. Only way on is using stairs, at least 25 of them.
