We sat in a private booth with a curtain which was nice in theory but it was incredibly hot and when we’d open the curtain to get some air, the staff would close it when they walked by. The curtain didn’t do much to block the noise from the restaurant so it felt unnecessary. The food was just really disappointing especially for the price. I kept wanting things to taste good and they fell flat. We also kept trying to order things and the waiter would tell us about how he didn’t personally like it and recommends something else. I tried to order a burger appetizer because it was on the small plate menu but it was actually an entree. Our waiter was well intentioned but very awkward and sometimes just stood there looking at us. When he walked us through the menu it just felt like he was reading the entree list to us instead of adding new information or point out a couple popular items. The drinks were pretty decent and that was about all I enjoyed from that experience. The bill was massive and definitely not compatible with our food quality. Overall we were very unsatisfied and disappointed.
Great music awesome food!
Great place to celebrate great friends. Next time heading into the lounge for the live music.
Went here with a colleague to discuss business. Perfect setting. Great whiskey selection. Food was good, had the Prix Fixe, great value.
The food was incredible, the service fantastic and the space is beautiful! The reason I gave 4 stars for ambiance is that there was live music when we were there - the music itself was really good, but the volume was way too loud. Having to pretty much shout to carry on any conversation wasn't the best.
That said, overall a really cool experience - I would definitely return.
Once a year fine dining with my kids. We had a lovely time!
It was great. There was a magician and he was great!!
What a great place. Was looking for a Jazz Club to go to last minute. Found this place by accident. What a great find. Great music. Was there for their Eve of the Eve show. Had no idea there would be a Burlesque show. Wow was it outstanding.
The food is amazing. They also have one of the best Bourbon list I have seen in a long time. I would highly recommend
Wonderful evening with fiends visiting and it was a great experience.
Brought friend from Dallas since we are all whiskey guys. Loved the selection and the ambiance. The food was spot on!!! Everything came in timed and the drinks were great!!! The live band and burlesque show was great entertainment. Will go next time they are in town.
Because I gave low ratings, let me explain. I've been twice around the holidays, loved the live music, the Burlesque show was weird., didn't need that!
Food average the first time. The second time the scallop dish serving was so small it was a joke, 35$. My crispy ribs were bad, sent back. Could not find anything to replace it... so I had roasted sweet potatoes and Baked Alaska. The mocktails were good. So having said that, I may go back! loved the atmosphere. First time waitress was great. The little skinny one. Sara this time seemed bummed about life.?
Well, where to start. First, by far the worst meal I’ve ever had in Chicago. We started with the server explaining to us that we should view the menu as a sharing menu, because the kitchen can’t guarantee that dishes will come out together. No problem, we were good with that, we order like that often. First was fries that came out a few minutes later, luke warm and soggy. 10 minutes later, crispy ribs. I’ve worked for two BBQ concepts, and half of what I got on my plate were ‘rib tips’. And the ribs weren’t crispy, they were just fatty and over cooked. Then we tried an entree, short ribs and scallops. Two small squares of short ribs and two scallops. You could smell the fishiness of the scallops when they presented the plate, and the spare ribs tastes like bland pot roast. We were 45 minutes into a meal that we had looked forward to, and decided to cut our losses and move on. It’s sad when your sitting there looking on Open Table to see who has an 8:30 reservation, to see if you can go grab a good small bite and a nice dessert.
Our server was friendly, she tried to create an nice environment for us, and her Server Attendant was fantastic, always right there. And the place itself has a great vibe. And some attempts at nice touches like a birthday card for my wife, which we were there to celebrate. And an awesome whiskey selection. Really, it seems to be a great choice at the start. But the food was way, way off. Won’t be looking to make a return.
We had a great dinner there were 20 of us we all set close to each other. The band was awesome and then a DJ came on that was great as well.
Birthday celebration was perfect for our large group!!!
We came for the music, atmosphere and the whiskey. Untitled delivered.
A great atmosphere if you want to get entertained back in time.
So much fun. Hidden gem in Chicago. If you want some great drinks and fun time then this is the place to go. You will have a great time.
The food is very tasty. Expensive given the portion sizes
Food is good. Ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. Didn’t like them. They were too far from the traditional dish. Loved the tuna crudo! Service was excellent. My two reasons for not going back are the stairs and the noise. Can not have a conversation! I think I’m just too old for this restaurant
First time for all of us at Untitled Supper Club. We really enjoyed the location and vibe (Although very loud after about 7:30pm on a Sat). Food and service were just average which was disappointing for the $. We tried the frites, deviled eggs, tater tots, Amish Chicken, scallops/short ribs and chocolate dessert. The chicken and chocolate dessert were the only winners. I agree with another reviewer that the food was all lukewarm and didn’t seem like any heart went into it. We all agreed we would consider going back but definitely not for the food. Service was a little slow as well. Lastly, why on earth were there kids running around everywhere??? Definitely not a place for kids!
One small complaint there was a cold draft on a cold night.
Absolutely terrible! If you love deafening noise, incomprehensibly slow service and poor food, this is the place for you! Don't let the name fool you: this is a concert venue with some seating packed around the sides and the back of the hall to accommodate their secondary food business. Oh, and another thing, the drinks were G-d-awful!! At least they good have a good mixologist!!
Unique setting with an excellent bar. Quality menu and warm service.
Great food and a wonderful experience
The staff was extremely nice and the service was very fast. They gave my girlfriend and I a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary along with a card signed by the staff. They were very thoughtful and attentive. The good came out fast. The large portion could feed 1 in my opinion. The food was good, but I would come back for the service and ambiance.
Small and large shareable plates. Very good food and service. Something on the menu for everyone
Love the warm and friendly atmosphere of the place. The live music performance was top-shelf . 'Untitled' is one of my favorite 'live' music spots.
Great date night, whiskey drinks, and live jazz/blues music.
We had early supper at 5.45 pm. As they were not many guests, our food came very quickly. Too quickly in fact.... the dishes were luke warm and tasted like they were NOT freshly prepared but just reheated.
Ribs were not hot, some rather chewy. The togarashi frites again only warm and not crispy. The octopus with black rice was dry, rice was grainy, rather unpleasant.
There was no heart in the cooking. Hugely disappointed. We left quickly and would NOT return
We were a party of four and we sat upfront. The seats are great for watching the burlesque show and it was terrific seating to see the Motown band. But, if you don’t like it loud, sit a bit further back. Our dinners were excellent. The appetizer pretzel bread - it was just ok. The drinks were fun and creative. After the show there was a DJ. We liked the mix of music and the crowd. The stage turns into the dance floor. It was the weekend before Halloween and there were a lot of people dressed up. Since we were in front of the stage/dance floor we realized that it’s kind of a thing for some of the people dancing to do a little strip tease dance for the people sitting at tables. Thank you to Marilyn Monroe and the bat lady for the extra entertainment!! If you are looking for a place to eat, drink, dance, party and see a show, this is it! Btw, parked next door in parking garage, used SpotHero, good deal!
If you have a chance to go here when Brooke and The Nice Things are playing dont pass it up. Check out their music and if you like Aretha Franklin etc you will love them. Food is amazing. Drinks are quality. It's just a great experience.
The food was ok, the drinks were great albeit pricy. I recommend for dinner with modest expectations, then stay for the live music which starts at 8:00pm. Service in the dining room was great, service in the bar was bad and unorganized and they had all of the tables reserved, but no one showed up.
Group dinner and all of us were so impressed with our amazing waitress (even as she trained a new employee). Food was amazing! Recommend the tater tots for an a appetizer!
I am writing an overall 2 star review, but it’s based entirely on this experience, not the restaurant as a whole!
The food was very tasty, well-portioned, and since we primarily ordered off of the bar menu during happy hour, was an incredible value! Drinks were ok, maybe a bit sweet, but I honestly thinks it fit with the vibe, so no complaints there!
The issue that I had was that our server forgot my meal and then blamed the kitchen. As someone who has worked both in FOH and BOH throughout my life, in my opinion, it’s a cardinal sin to toss your BOH under the bus when something is very clearly your fault.
The server then made a mistake with our bill and took an inordinately long period of time to resolve it.
I won’t get into the specifics of how I know that the mistake was hers, but a previous life-long service industry employee knows how to spot mistakes.
She was honestly very pleasant as a person in general, so in the future, just own up to it when you make a mistake. It works out better in the end.
I’ll defibitely be back because there were quite a few things that were fun and unique that were worth exploring, so don’t let this review away you from going. I just wanted to share my experience d feedback!
I really love this place. The only complaint I have is that I typically order small plates when we go. They brought out 4 dishes at the same time on a table for 2. They should have spaced the dishes out better.
It was nice but not really a supper club. They were a little pretentious, but a great bar selection.
So much fun! Overall great experience! Awesome atmosphere and live band was great!
Great place for a business meeting and entertainment later. The choice is yours to discuss business while enjoying a great dinner and then stay for the entertainment.
So amazing that we visited twice in one week. The ambiance, food, and service were amazing. As tourists, we brought some locals here and they wondered why they hadn't visited sooner! The burlesque show was beautiful, classy, entertaining, full of highly talented performers. We can't wait to return!
Had a wonderful time. Great food and unbelievable selection of bourbons. Definitely coming back!
