We are so sad to hear that our favorite restaurant in NYC is closing. We recently returned to celebrate our 20th Anniversary at Untitled and it was just one of the most magical nights of my life. Special thank yous to managers, Alexis and Caitlin, and waiters, Isabella, Kurt, and Nick for making everything so special for us: your warm welcome, your generosity, your caring, the incredible food. And Alex even made us a special drink in our honor! I can't believe it's closing.

Untitled is a special place. My girlfriend and I dined there for her first birthday that we spent together in fall of 2016, and we just celebrated our engagement there this past Saturday (1/26/19). I had visited the first time because I was friends with the prior beverage director, and we visited again based on what a wonderful time we had the first time.

Even without a connection to the staff, Untitled shines. The location is beautiful. The people are friendly and the atmosphere strikes the right balance of relaxing and upscale. And Chef Suzanne Cupps has designed a delicious and inviting menu. For three (w fiancee's cousin), we shared five items: charred octopus salad, kale caesar, charred cauliflower, the sourdough, and the fried chicken. Each was fantastic. All of the dishes were savory and balanced -- I guess that's what happens when a Chef knows how to work with vegetables, but can still fry a mean chicken. Plus . . . the food just made me happy! I think that's the point of eating out.

Thank you to Chef Suzanne and Caitlin for a wonderful night.

Slow kitchen resulted in free appetizer. Food here is top notch: well prepared with excellent locally sourced ingredients. Friendly service and no tipping policy.

The setting, food, and service at Untitled are spot on. Fresh and local define the creative dishes on the menu, and during my most recent visit, a tomato and peach salad was one of the standout dishes that we sampled. Other hits were the fried chicken thighs and the brioche doughnut with tart raspberry powder for a surprising twist. Fair warning that all dishes are very small, and if you plan on sharing, you'll need at least 3 dishes per person, which adds up. That said, the flavors, setting and experience are worth it.

Love the setting in such an auspicious new building. Definitely lived up the hype and reviews we'd seen before selecting it as a place to eat.

Elegant restaurant for business lunches. Great service. Portions aren't very big eventhough they suggest sharing. Nice wine list. Spacious well-lit restaurant perfect for a sunny day in MP

Terrific staff and sommelier with delicious food and a very creative and friendly chef. This should be a destination restaurant, not just a place convenient to the museum. Highly recommend it. I think the new menu is a positive change.

the place was lovely but the plates were minuscule. we had to order 2 servings of bread (for a charge) to feel even moderately satisfied. The main courses were smaller than most appetizers at other restaurants.

Use this restaurant on Monday and Tuesday nights to entertain out of town guests. We share everything. It generally quiet. I like the glass wall to the street. The lighting is comfortable and you don't have to strain to read the menu. The staff is friendly and after the third visit remembers you.

Great keeps getting better at Untitled which now is a "no tipping" restaurant.
Service is genial and attentive.

Plates are put together beautifully. Ingrediants are fresh, and full flavored. Many are local.

Make a reservation so that you won't be disappointed, or have to wait. It's a pleasure to dine here!

Not impressed. The food was good, but that's it. We expected the space to be cozier. There is no sense of scale to this space. The triple height space is just that, a very high ceiling space. Impossible trying to maintain a conversation or to feel somewhat contained to have a nice dinner. The architecture of the room makes you feel naked. It might be OK if you sit at the bar, but definitely not a place to have dinner as a couple. Not even the lighting is right. Disappointed. Too casual and average by NY standards to deserve the fuss it gets. It feels like the space was just the corner of the first floor plan RP office didn't know how to resolve, so they decided to give it to a good chef to make it work. Felt short. Again; maybe good for a quick bite for lunch; too naked and impersonal for dinner. Just bring some hanging elements down to a human scale to make a meal event feel more "gentle"!

Met old friends for lunch before strolling the high line and enjoying the museum. Food was great and service friendly. Tile fish and fried chicken were favorites.

This restaurant used to be an upscale, crowded, OK sort of place. Now it's much more casual, quieter and a bit understated. What's worth remarking about is that the tip is INCLUDED in your meal price. This is like many European restaurants and it seems such a good idea. Our waitstaff were friendly and attentive, but not excessively so. It was nice to be here. I would bet, however, that this place will change again because the locale (next door to the Whitney) is too trendy to have a NICE place in its midst.

A very nice spot to grab a meal before or after visiting the Whitney. The room is bright and airy, and the food is quite good. The outstanding element is the service. The staff was uniformly pleasant and competent. Our server gave helpful suggestions and just the right amount of suggestions, all of which were great.

The food was excellent, patricularly the grilled shrimp lettuce wraps. Everyone who approached our table did so with a smile, polite gestures, and willingness to create an excellent experience for myself & guests.

Service was so bad that it really detracted from the meal and the experience.
One of the appetizers came out inedible. Waitress didn't check until everyone else at the table was finished and then when we commented about the problem was rude & dismissive.
NOT what I expect at the Whitney.

Just dissappointing service overall - waiting 30 minutes for the restaruant week 2 course lunch after a very early noon reservation- sitting next to a huge round top of folks didn’t help and we couldn’t be moved despite being asked - just knowing it would slow our two top table down - which it did - waiter was apologetic but seemed overall not to care as he was just going through the motion - weird vibe overall and would avoid in futur and head out to neighborhood to eat

The best scrambled eggs I've ever had: just the right texture and consistency, rich with butter, a dash of cheese for flavor, fresh herbs and sweet sundried tomatoes for flavor, absolutely perfect. The rest of our meal was fantastic too. Kudos to the chef!
