Uno Tre Otto
This is the most amazing restaurant we have eaten at in a long time. The food is so fresh and delicious, the service is fantastic and the ambiance is the best! I would highly recommend it!
Delightful unassuming gem! Food, drinks and service were phenomenal. Highly recommend.
I just love this restaurant. Brought my friend here for her birthday.
Quaint place, delicious food but took away 1 star because the restaurant messed up with our reservation. I made reservation for 3 people and one of the staff was not so nice and informed us that reservation was for 2. Had to wait
about 10-15 mins before being seated. Apparently, the mistake was
on their part since I showed them my open table reservation confirmation for 3. Not so happy with one server woman who met us
when we arrived and told us about reservation made for 2 not 3.
Fabulous as always! Please keep the beef cheek on the menu!!!
Great food, wonderful service and drink selection
We returned to Uno Tre Otto to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. We actually got married there three years ago. Much to our delight Kat was there and was our wonderful, efficient, friendly waiter for the evening. Kat remembered our wedding ceremony and made us feel special this evening. This is certainly a special-occasion restaurant (at least for our budget) but it is worth it to us. I'm not aware of any place in the Inland Empire that can match it's ambiance. The food and wine were outstanding as always. I got the Rock Cod and my husband got the bistecca. We were both pleased. My standouts this time around was the ciabatta bread and the butter (yes - they make the cultured butter in-house) as well as the apple pie-like desert. My mouth is watering a week later when I think about it! As you can tell, we love this place! We are also proud of their farm to table mission.
Had a wonderful times as always. Food is delicious.
Our dinner at Uno Tre Otto was so very delightful. The food was wonderfully delicious and the ambiance was great.I love dining there I can't wait until I visit you again. . Thank you for making my sisters farewell dinner so memorable.
Pretty authentic Italian cuisine. Like all dishes especially the pasta. Cocktails are decent & the panna cotta is a nice finish of a tasty meal.
It was outstanding in every way! Adorable decor - phenomenal food - charming staff!
A gem in Claremont! Excellent staff, food, and atmosphere.
Incredible. The food was unique and exquisite. The atmosphere was intimate and felt regal.
Excellent, wonderful, unique with the freshness of everything, especially produce, pasta, and bread. Very small, quiet...pleasant!
Excellent as usual
Never fails. Another great night at Uno Tre Otto. Kat and the team are just the best. The food is unique with fantastic flavor combinations that leave us speechless and the service is just always the best. Love the people at Uno Tre Otto. If you haven't been go, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to go back again.
Wow. Diamond in the rough. Feels like being transported from a parking lot in Claremont to a wine cellar in rural Italy. Delicious food, and excellent service.
As always, Uno Tre Otto provides excellent food with great service. Already looking forward to our next return.
The food was plain and fairly uninteresting. The caprese salad had only tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, but no herbs. The fish was plain. The pasta with a pesto made of kale and walnuts had an unusual taste and too much cream. It didn't taste like pesto. The drinks however were delicious. I don't think we'll be going back.
It was very dark in the restaurant and the noise level was intense. The food was good to very good, and the service was very good. Next time we go, We will sit outside. We really wanted our experience to be better, since the restaurant is under new management.
Enjoyed the food and service. I had the fish which was delicious and husband had duck. Everything fresh, we did the sausage and pasta prior to main and it was excellent
We love Uno Tre Otto! This was our second visit to your restaurant. I will say that the women that was ours server was not as personable and helpful as the young man who served us on our last visit. He reviewed the menu with us and helped us pair a very nice wine for our entree. The food was excellent, but the server could have been more personable and helpful.
Love this very unique restaurant.
We had a lovely night filled with wonderful food and incredible service.
The food was outstanding. Waitress was nice. It took over an hour to get our entrees after being served our salad. People who came in after us were served before us. Disappointing. Food was awesome!
This was a great place to go to for a special occasion. The food was excellent as well as the service. Would definitely come again.
The food was excellent. The service was excellent, up until they asked us to sit outside as we were told that someone else had reserved our table and that party wanted to be seated. Clearly once you’ve settled the bill, and despite the fact that you’re still sipping on a digestive you’ve ordered, once they have your money, you’re no longer a guest.
For a birthday dinner, I give this restaurant 3 stars. As a place that serves tasty food, 4 stars. I absolutely hate giving anything less than 5 stars, but let me tell you about my experience dining here. It was my birthday and wanted to be situated somewhere comfortable. We were led to a table with a place setting for SIX. We were expected to be ok with sharing the space with another family.
The place is TINY. What exacerbated the cramped feeling was the dark wood paneling and absolute lack of light. We kept having to use our camera flashlights to glance at the menu. The bar, where the drinks are mixed, is at the loft upstairs. They were sent down using a dumbwaiter located in the wall behind my husband’s head (see photo).
My husband casually mentioned to the server that we were there to celebrate my birthday. She said “oh happy birthday but have you decided on drinks yet?” I didn’t ask for anything to be comped, or a free dessert - I understand that restaurants can’t always be giving away food due to small profit margins - but the dismissiveness I tasted colored my entire experience. When a diner chooses to spend a birthday at your restaurant, and you have the audacity to charge $26 for chewy steak, at the very least, please acknowledge that your patron just went through an entire 365 days and wanted to mark that by giving you their business. That deserves maybe a minute of your time. Is that too much to ask?
The food is ok, the osso bucco was tender. My mangalitsa pork dish was nice too. My son’s bistecca was chewy. I was tempted to take a photo of the meat he spat out due to the tough cuts he was given but I decided against it. Overall, if you just want food, this restaurant is ok if you’re ok with cave-like lighting and not having much of a private conversation because of how small the space is. If you are celebrating something, I suggest going somewhere else. Otherwise, you'll be out $200 but feel completely unspecial.
We loved the atmosphere here. A little hard to find which made it more fun. It is small and is a bit like wandering into a place in Florence with an open kitchen, cocktails delivered from above. The food was good to just okay. We shared a pasta dish that was not hot and lukewarm. The scallops were great. The wine list has many great Italian choices. I will go back! Thank you!
We loved the service and the small restaurant feel. Fresh EVERYTHING! How great. Highly recommended
We love this hidden gem. Outstanding food and an intimacy like a European bistro. Cat, our server, is our favorite. She is sweet, attentive, and makes an instant connection with her guests. This is an all- around great place for a quiet evening and excellent meal.
We visit this restaurant often. Excellent food and service.
Everyone should try this place! The Italian food is authentic and just plain delicious. One of my favs is the Manila Clams with spicy sausage along with the crusty bread...to die for 😋
We really love UNO. The food is perfect each and every time. The wine was beautiful and the opening small plate from the chef was spectacular. A truly special place.
Third or fourth time to Tre Otto and as always the food doesn't disappoint. But I was disappointed that I was still charged a corkage fee for the bottle of wine I brought even though my table had four mixed drinks and two other glasses of wine. I spent nearly $300 there and it felt like gouging.
love this place! Very quaint and food is delicious and fresh
Love the concept and delivery!
Food quality was extremely poor and overpriced. Ambiance was the only nice part about the restaurant.
This used to be one of our favorite fine-dining digs. The dishes can be outstanding, and we were very pleased with the choices on this visit, from Amy’s salad to the pasta to the red snapper....fine flavors, fresh, nicely prepared.
There are NO extras here. For the $$$$, it would take very little to add a few extras (e.g. bread, side veggies, amuse bouche) to give the diner a pleasing sense of value.
On this particular occasion, the service did not match the meal and price. Probably most disappointing was the casual (unapologetic) attitude toward arriving to no heat, on one of the coldest evenings that southern California can offer up. Given the small number of indoor tables, about 10 phone calls would have probably handled the reservation list, giving folks the chance to opt out or prepare with winter wear. We are pretty hearty individuals (think winter camping in the northeast), and can tough out almost anything, but this may not have been our preference on this particular occasion. To their credit, blankets were offered... but again....it would have been thoughtful to go the extra measure and spend a few bucks to buy a couple heaters for the evening.
In summary, i think this fine restaurant will be losing faithful clientele (we will not be back) if they don’t start acting more like the price point that they are pretending to be.
The food was excellent. The main and only problem was the Central Heating was broken. This on one of the coldest evenings of the year, outside temps in the 30’s to low 40’s. In addition the fan was pulling air inside. Had to wear our heavy coats the whole evening. They really should have closed for the night. But they told us they had space heaters and asked us to be patient. I think the frustration is more in the way it was handled. No offers for warm drinks, we had to ask for hot water. Not even a discount was offered- they treated it as if was just a normal evening. I think you learn a lot from establishments in the way they handle problems. In this regard they failed miserably. Why didn’t we leave? The food was good, we were hungry, and we thought eventually they would offer something to ease the pain.
