When we arrived we didn't know we were supposed to of pre-paid. We were told when your done just come back outside to the hostess and pay. That was weird. Anyone could of just walked out around the corner and not paid. When we got in, it was cafeteria style. They ask what you want and you get to choose from eggs, sausage, bacon, croissant, and pancakes. Once seated a hostess comes around and gets your drink order. Here's the thing though, you are paying $27 dollars and this is NOT a buffet. That one chance at the beginning to get food, that's it and they don't tell you that. Normally when you spend that kind of money its all you care to eat. The hostess that brings you a drink, well that's the only time she came by the table so don't expect refills. Mine wasn't even that nice to begin with. You are paying for the character experience which is ok. Gru, minions, Hop characters, Dora, Diego, and Spongebob and Squirdward. Probably better just to seek them out in the park.
The food was very poor quality and it took forever to get out plates. The characters were funny but we were expecting minions and there were no minions. The service was friendly but the food price was not worth the experience.
The Universal breakfast was small enough that everyone got close and comfortable with the "celebs". The food was a good breakfast meal, and the kids loved it.
Meeting the characters and the interaction was excellent, food was not good at all. Better selection and bigger helping would be good.
It was nice to see the characters, and if you have kids that are really into Dora, sponge bob, and despicable me, it's good. But we used a sit down dining meal for it, and it wasn't worth it. Compared to the meals we had at Lombards and Mythos, this was a joke. We were expecting at least seats or something at the 'VIP' section of the parade, but ended up sitting on the curb with people who didn't even do the breakfast. I won't ever do this breakfast again.
after reserving a table a few months ago, I was not really impressed with the lack of food on arrival. We were told that 'there were no more potatoes coming out and it was only 9.45am? my little boy enjoyed the characters although appreciate they have to get around to alot of customers............it was somewhat rushed when we paid nearly $70 for breakfast.
Food was good for what it was. Not a large selection or a buffet for the price. Characters were good
Our family greatly enjoyed the Universal Character Breakfast. The food was great, the place was clean, and the service was perfect. This is a definite to do while in Universal studios! The kids will love it, even the older ones! A+
here for character dining....breakfast nothing spectacular
We were there for 2 full cycles of characters and had to BEG them back because our kids didn't get to see them....Plus, we made our reservations 6 months in advance and were sat BEFORE 3 walk-ins that had the same number of people. Definitely a better character experience at any and all Disney restaurants.
For $24.95 this was the worst breakfast food I have ever eaten. The quality was not even McDonald's level. The orange juice was from concentrate or powder and was so sweet that it was undrinkable. I asked for water to dilute it down but server never brought it. The eggs were dry. The couple of pieces of bacon were very fatty. The best part was the roll with hame and egg. There were no other choices. When we asked for cereal for one of the children, we were told that the restaurant didn't have any. Also no fruit cups as in the pictures in the front. No muffins, bagels, waffles. omelettes, Nothing!!! I would have felt cheated at $4.95 but at the price of a all-inclusive Disney breakfast , this was just unacceptable.
I would compare the food to McDonalds and you had to wait forever for the characters to come to our table, we had already finished eating and had to wait and with 2 kids ages 3 and 2 that did not work well!Overal it was a huge disappointment.
Only place to meet Universal characters, great for kids and for breakfast
