I’m not surprised this place is empty on a Friday night. I️ expected overpriced food, but didn’t expect terrible service. We waited extremely long times after orders were placed, including drink orders, and then waited over 40 minutes for the check after asking multiple times. Of course there was no apology when the check was finally handed to us. No acknowledgement from wait staff or management to address our sub-par experience (an apology or explanation would have been appreciated). Maybe we weren’t as appreciated because we were a table of 2 instead of our usual 10, but we’ll make sure none of us waste or time or money here again.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent.one caution, be sure to check if there is a private party scheduled. The party area is a section of the dining room and the noise level was unbearable. We had a 5:30 reservation and the party was in progress, ending at 6:00. For the 1/2hour it was awful. After that, it was wonderful. It would have been nice if the manager had suggested we move our reservation to 6 p.m., or at least comped the drinks to compensate for the inconvenienc.
The food is excellent; love the new sauce with the Hot Lover Sushi appetizer! The service was incredible; Love Dominick and Javier, who are always available to ask questions. Dominick also always has excellent wine recommendations.
Carlos was new and most outstanding, ready to assist and serve. Courteous, smiling, and friendly. Love the service and would always recommend Union!
We eat a lot of sushi, and have been spoiled in the past (Hawaii sushi can't compare)...This place in our opinion was worth the money spent, and we found it just as good if not better then the Sushi we had in Hawaii.

Once again, we enjoyed a delicious steak diner at Union Prime. The service is prompt and courteous, the portions appropriate, and the steaks are delicious! We have been dining here since its opening, and have yet to be disappointed! I highly recommend this steakhouse - for the record, they have excellent sushi as well!
Excellent Salad. Unfortunately the Kansas City Steak was overseasoned and yet basically tasteless. At $99 for two it was an expensive waste of money. Seven pieces of meat for two people with the first piece that the waiter put on my plate being all fat (no exaggeration, no meat at all on this piece.
While The sushi and the dinner was very good. The desserts, service and the price of 3 drinks, one million dollar margarita with no booze in it , was poor at best.
Seems the kitchen staff are the only ones working hard. We were seeted in the bar area which was fine, I had a clear view of the bartenders. One of which was chatting up 2 ladies at the bar while others there seemed to be ignored by both. The young lady was constantly on her cellphone and eating chips out of the basket meant for customers. At one point she yelled across the bar to get her friends attention. Seriously?
The hostess was very sweet and our waiter started off strong, we joked with each other which was nice, but the service then sunk fast. We then had the hostess and a different waitress helping us because our waiter disappeared. Even the guy poring our water gave us more attention than our waiter, maybe he should be promoted. I was told it was a team effort and I could understand that if it was busy but besides the party in the next room it wasn't even close to a full house.
Dessert was supposedly Hagendaz pistachio ice cream, it was not. Hagendaz pistachio is not green and doesn't taste of artificial flavoring. The cheese cake was ok, it was both warm around the outside and cold in the middle, which was odd. It was not very creamy and tasted old.
We were very disappointed. This place has gone seriously down hill from the other times we've dined here.
I booked this restaurant for a birthday dinner. As well as wanting to take advantage of their special on Sunday and Monday of a $55 price fix meal. We were seated with regular menus. We had to ask for the price fix and was told " the portions are small... get it if you are not hungry". We then reluctantly ordered from the regular menu.
Never once we we approached to ask if our meal was ok. The fillet steaks were overcooked and the rib eye was so fatty that half the portion was fat.
We wanted a second glass of wine but could never get the waiter's attention.
Additionally, we were never approached regarding the birthday celebration!
We felt like second class citizens!
Not a restaurant I would go to ever again.
We were very impressed with Union Prime, it is a top quality steakhouse. The steaks were excellent quality, prepared as we ordered the first time -- no mistakes here. Our server was highly organized and attentive, which frankly was refreshing as opposed to nearby competitors. Excellent overall; definitely worth the try.
Went here for Father's Day and ordered off of their "specials" menu. The veal porterhouse was very dry, and I asked for my filet mignon to be medium-rare and this was cooked more than well done. Of all the cuts to over cook, come on. Our dining time was fairly early in the evening (around 5) and the place wasn't too crowded yet. But we were NOT refilled water at all, and only saw the waiter when he took our order, brought us our food and lastly the check. I suspect alot of the Union patrons are people that can't get a reservation at Peter Lugers. The comparison is inevitable due to the proximity so I would expect them to try harder. Also, don't order sushi here -- it's your typical long island sushi, not authentic. Skip this place.
While the restaurant was beautiful and the service was outstanding the food did not do a good job making this visit excellent. The food presentation is very poor for such a upscale place and far from delicious.., the only thing that was really enjoyable that was ordered is the truffle fries. Can't say I would visit again or recommend simply because I spend that kind of money I expect the food to be outstanding and it's not... not outstanding in presentation or taste. Maybe need to consider getting a new chef with a good palate.
Their food is great, especially steak! it is delicious, we love it.
The week day waiter is great and he know about wine so every time we went there and we all ask his opinion for red wine. He has great taste so we love his recommendation.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on Open Table but I can't hold back. I want to know what everyone else who wrote good reviews is smoking. The sushi appetizer was ok. And that's about it. I sent my first entree back and my second entree wasn't any better. Very expensive and the food is flavorless. By the way, it was Friday night at 8:30 and it was empty - first sign right there.
Took a co-worker out for a retirement dinner. Remembering Burton & Doyles, and hoping for the same good experience. You surpassed it. Everything was delicious, service was great and ambience was good. And by the way, your wait staff was amazing. No snooty waiters, as I sometimes come across at finer restaurants. They were pleasant and thoughtful. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection and the sautéed mushrooms were the best. I will be back....
