Wonderful mothers day dinner. Not inexpensive, but considering it was Mothers Day and quality of food and service was excellent, it was well worth it.

Atmosphere and Service were outstanding. Lovely restaurant with old fashion charm and outstanding staff. Was not as impressed with the food, but I will caveat that with the fact that both of us in my party ordered the same dish off of their pre-fixe menu for $39. We ordered the lobster tail, which was served with lobster risotto and green beans. The lobster tail was supposed to be a 4 oz tail, but it was the smallest 4 oz. tail I have ever seen. Literally, in 3 to 4 bites, it was gone. It was also very salty and the tail was split in half, which made it look even smaller! The risotto was overcooked (mushy) and the green beans were under cooked. I did see other dishes that came out of the kitchen that looked wonderful, so I would go back and try it again, but would definitely not order the pre-fixe lobster tail. Very disappointed after waiting all winter to try this restaurant.

Scallop and Shrimp entree was overpriced. 3 scallops and 3 shrimp covered with slaw for $39 was too much. The scallops and shrimp were covered by slaw so it was not possible to see what you were served until the slaw was moved. Scallops and shrimp were only warm--not hot.

Presentation, preparation and taste of food was very good.

We had an early reservation and took advantage of the Prix Fix menu, so restaurant was quiet early on and filling up when we were done with our meal.

Service was about as good as we could want with knowledgeable and attentive staff. Our waitress walked us through the menu to enable my date to enjoy an excellent, Gluten Free meal.

Would return if / when in Cape May.

Union Park is a delightful restaurant. The ambiance is low-key elegance. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is prepared perfectly to order. The short ribs are tender and flavorful and the duck was excellent. It is a BYOB but they do have a limited selection of local wines if you choose not to bring a wine.

Easter dinner was lovely. Everything was delicious and purposely made and presented. The lobster bisque was smooth and tasty. Our main entree poached lobster over lobster cheese risotto with green beans was the star. Lobster perfectly cooked. Risotto done just right. Green beans perfectly crunchy. The presentation was masterfully done. Beautiful to the eye and totally yummy! Fruit tarts on phillo dough was a light way to end the meal Our waitress was attentive and lovely. Wait staff very observant and kind. A very relaxing wonderful meal and environment. I highly recommend.

I eat out very often, and most restaurants that claim to be fine dining don’t always deliver all the elements that I consider essential to a fine dining experience. At Union Park on this evening I experienced everything that makes dining with your wife a romantic and enjoyable experience. Beautifully appointed dining room, white table cloths on the tables, candlelight, soft jazz playing in the background, attentive service and most of all incredible meals. What made this night even more special was the VERY quiet late evening atmosphere. You could hold a quiet conversation and still hear the soft jazz music playing which highlighted the whole experience. I rarely get to enjoy a quiet, romantic meal; but Union Park hit all the ‘Fine Dining’ points perfectly.

The restaurant is beautiful, the service is great without being pretentious. You will see folks dressed to impress, and some that are very casual. It is a BYOB, but serves some great wines from Cape May Vineyards...really quite good!! The only thing I would consider a bit of challenge was seating configuration as space is at a premium given the successful nature of the restaurant, so it was slightly cramped at times as the second seating of the evening peaked.

Charming restaurant of the Hotel Macomber - a Victorian gem. Warm and gracious service on New Year's Eve when things can be so harried. Enjoyed our tasting menu and best of all, enjoyed being able to bring our own wine. And no corkage fee like back home. But lest you think I focus too much on that, know that the ambience is fitting to Historial Cape May and the food delicious .

The meal and the service at the Union Park was superb! We had a 5 course Pre-fix meal on New Year’s Eve. Each course was expertly prepared and served by the wonderful staff. We were not rushed and had time to talk and enjoy the evening. Chef John did a masterful job and Bob kept the front end running like clock work. Could not have asked for a better way to end the old and bring in the new!
