The Union Oyster House, located on the Freedom Trail, near Faneuil Hall, enjoys the unique distinction of being America's oldest restaurant. This Boston fixture, housed in a building dating back to Pre-Revolutionary days, started serving food in 1826 and has continued ever since with the stalls and oyster bar, where Daniel Webster was a constant customer, in their original positions.

Had been looking forward to trying this place for years and was highly disappointed. Food was blah and over priced. We had Ye Olde Seafood platter and broiled scallops. grilled salmon was good. Soup of the day was chicken and not very good.

料理は美味しいが、値段の割にボリュームがなく、コストパフォーマンスはあまりよくない。サービスは普通。席に当たり外れがある。話題作りに訪れるにはいいと思う。

Date night at Union oyster house! So amazingly delicious food, great service and ambiance! We return every time we make a trip into the city. We highly recommend it. Ask to be seated upstairs. Our favorite.

America’s oldest restaurant has amazing food! We had the cold seafood platter (shucked oysters, cherrystone clams, & shrimp) and fried crispy calamari. The oyster bartender even gave us a lesson in shucking oysters. Highly recommend! #seafood

Way too crowded, way too overbooked. Impossible to think that they are able to keep it as sanitized as it should be due to COVID. Chowder delicious, but this was a one and done.

Incredibly overpriced and not worth it at all. Food was TGIF standard, nothing special for the amount of money you’ll spend.

The Boston institution never lets you down. Lobster cooked to perfection and served professionally and with just the right amount of interaction. Very friendly atmosphere and we always come here when we are in Boston.

Robbie made the night. Definitely recommend sitting at the oyster counter and enjoying the show. That guy can shuck…even when it’s not time lapsed. Thanks - we’ll be back!

We took my family here as we all like Oysters and the history behind the restaurant. We sat at the JFK booth which was cool but the Oysters came without oyster forks. The food is over priced and mediocre. It’s a place you check the box on and never go back.

I have not been to the UOH for several years and I will say the quality has dropped. Ordered Chowder and was marginally warm, Fish & Chip was nothing more than a typical fast food restaurant. Cole Slaw was definitely dumped from a bag (not chopped smaller) mixed with dressing and slopped into the serving container. Fries were good but very small portion. My friend got a Haddock special and that was good for him although just a single piece of fish on a large plate and a side dish of mashed Potatoes. I think the establishment needs to up their game bring it back to the old way.....

We had a great birthday lunch at the Union Oyster house. It started out with delicious cornbread and we ordered clam chowder and the crab cake sandwich. Everything was delicious and we were very full. The crab cake had a lot of crab. It has a great historic, yet casual feel. We will return on our next visit in Boston!

Server was inattentive, chowder was lukewarm at best and I sent it back. I did receive a hot bowl but the chowder itself was not worth bragging about. There are many other restaurants in the area to patronize. Sorry, Union Oyster House but you need to step it up!
