Union Oyster House
Great historic spot. Wonderful seafood wonderful service.
Over priced, extremely small servings, and definitely a tourist trap. Service was great though.
Excelente clam chowder el mejor que he probado en Boston .
Las ostras deliciosas
Ravioles de langosta
Combinado de mariscos en crema con cherries 👍🏼
Espectacular restaurant de mariscos !!
Great service by our server Stephanie and it was her birthday! Food good, pacing of meal good. We enjoyed our experience!
The clam chowder is AMAZING. We also had the fish and chips and they were the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend the Union Oyster House!
Tourist trap. Salmon was overcooked. Shrimp was like rubber. Got sat at the worst seat in the joint. Asked to move and got sat at an even worse seat.
very good food. our waitress was super attentive, friendly. a great experience. glad my family and I were able to experience this wonderful restaurant. recommend it to anyone who is looking to experience Boston.
I have been her 3 times in my life and twice in the last 2 months. I live in Maryland but love coming to Boston and in Boston it is a true destination restaurant, food, ambiance, people plus a great historical site. Love the place everyone should check it out and see for themselves
We tried several times before, when in Boston, to get a reservation. We finally succeeded. It was wonderful! Such a historic New England vibe and excellent food! And Karen, our server was sweet and accommodating! We will definitely be back!
Great cornbread and chowder always! Tried the blackened halibut this time. It was a little pricey for the portion but spicy and tasty! Fun great old world ambience. Will go to again definitely for the chowder, cornbread (which is free mind you!), and the ever so delicious oysters!
Our server was awesome, cute place and definitely felt historic. Food was good and liked the gift shop afterwards
Excellent service, and ambiance that can't be beat. Best seafood place I've been to in Boston.
Great Boston staple! Oysters and all seafood is fresh and tasty!
Amazing food, Boston trip with the boys ended on a high note there
Food and service were both excellent! the only problem was the $40 parking fee.
Food was delicious and the service was great. Love the atmosphere! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.
Disappointing meal ... With the charm of an iconic restaurant, we expected a superb seafood dinner. Clam chowder was mushy, ceasar salad not crisp, clams were overcooked. Suffice it to say, we have no reason to return.
Historical restaurant worth visiting once. Food quality need an update. Service was very good.
Disappointed visit. Did not get appetizer, forgotten, and never came to table during entire meal so no drink refills. My dinner was at 4:30 so not busy at all. Coming from out of town for a special dinner was very disappointed. Will not come here any longer.
We came here expecting it to be a touristy restaurant with okay food. The food was delicious! We ordered the cod sandwich, lobster roll, crab cake plate and clam chowder. Hearty portions too. All very well done, we ate every crumb.
After dining we walked through the restaurant and went all the way to the top floor to check out the decor. We were lucky it wasn’t very busy because we saw everything! The art work, the history.
Loved everything about this place.
Great night out with family. Food was superb and service was excellent.
Excellent service. Good food! Nice colonial setting. Good drink choices.
Yes for the ambience! Our server was a little rude and there really is nothing on the menu for vegetarians, except for ONE DISH (not even salads). The swordfish, at steep market price, was dry and flavorless. But aside from that, the ambience can't be beat, and there's really no other restaurant that you can wander through and get totally lost in. By far the best part.
Our server was absolutely outstanding- while unfortunately I do not remember her name. The food was delicious and service was quick! We always stop there every time we visit Boston.
The Oysters were excellent but not enough at all. The salad was small and so was the chowder so if you are really hungry do not go. The food tasted fine but tiny portions.
A total surprise and the best meal we had in Boston. We are definitely coming back here! The fries are some of the best we’ve ever had. So crispy and soft on the inside! A must is the trout pate and if you’re into the claws, eat the lobster knuckles with grits!!!! The service was fabulous. Our server Gabriel was sweet, attentive, and cheerful!
New year’s eve dinner
Always a great spot. Service is wonderful as well
The fish had bones in it , at first she brought me the wrong meal she brought me fried clams and I had ordered fried shrimp and when I got my plate the french fries were cold. I guess bottom line is a very disappointing New Year’s Eve meal
Not our 1st time, an open table diner for 20 plus years. Got there at 12:15, place was 1/2 empty. Seated in front of bus station and servers station. Booths which didn't face that, all empty. Food was just okay. Won't be back.
I hadn’t been to the Union Oyster House in many years and have such nice memories of the place that I wanted to take my daughter and son-in-law who live in Boston now. We had a wonderful time and it was as good as I remembered. Excellent quality food and service. I highly recommend it!
What an amazing venue with exceptional service.
Great customer experience especially for veterans.
Obviously historic old building, and made for a really cool experience. The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had. The mussels were just okay, I little too chewy. The baked beans were really good as well, although I would say not worth the money spent on them. We were very rushed by our server and not given any explanation of the menu. I would go back and I do recommend going here for the experience.
It was ok. A bit over priced for what you get.
This is a very good restaurant, highly recommended. The service was exceptional and we loved the food. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Boston.
Excellent service by our waiter, great food, and great ambiance.
Full of history and a tourist staple in Boston. Food never disappoints and is relatively inexpensive. For a piece of history with decent food it’s a must do
