Beef Stew with Creamy Polenta
Hearty homemade beef stew with carrots and potatoes in a savory red wine and beef broth served over creamy fontina cheese polenta. Daniel's Favorite!
Tender baby spinach leaves tossed with roasted pears and red onion, candied walnuts, crumbled blue cheese and Dijon balsamic vinaigrette
Our famous homemade ravioli filled with beef, pork, onions, Swiss chard, Parmesan cheese and sourdough bread crumbs in our rich bolognese sauce
Very good food for the price. Lots of menu choices and a nice pllace to go to be able to visit with friends.
Great bar staff and our waiter was amazing and attentive
Great table outside by creek. Misti took great care of us. The lasagna and salmon were excellent! Can't wait to come back!
Great food. Service was a little slow because they were so busy. The lasagne, the rib eye and the angel hair pasta were all delish
Understated exterior. Family, friendly interior. Outstanding customer service. And the food was delicious! Everything was fresh and tasted homemade. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal.
This is one of Santa Rosa's best outdoor dining? What a joke...definitely not. Very disappointed. However, food was good. Over priced, service was no better or worse than a chain restaurant.
Food was great !
Pizza awesome !
Very good service !!
First time here. Food was okay and service good. Missed on the panini but the pasta and minestrone was very good. Will try again.
We were pleasantly surprised by the breadth and quality of the food. Both the window seat and are waiter were enjoyable additions to the meal. Casual spot in a good place to enjoy friends great drinks and good food
The side patio was a nice location, however there are no screens on the open windows and as a result all kinds of “stuff” was flying onto our table.. they should invest in screens.
This was a fantastic place to dine! We went here for Mother's day on our way to Bodega Bay and we left in a great mood! The prime rib and salmon were delicious and not overcooked or under seasoned. All of the staff were friendly and courteous even though we arrived late for our reservation. I really appreciated how thoughtful everyone was. I would love to try other menu items when I am in the area!
It was terrible. From the food to the service our experience was horrible. We would never go back. We let them know we were celebrating a birthday and they did nothing also.
Great dinner and great service, enjoyed the evening!!!
Our group of 8 all agreed the food, service, and ambiance were great. The salmon received especially high marks.
Went in the mid-afternoon and it was empty. Had a reservation. Went to the bar with my friend and the bartender was very lacking in social graces. He did not greet us or say hi. I asked for a menu for the drinks. He didn't have one. He said something about beer and wine. He could have given us the food menu that had all the wines and beers. The wine came to $10.87. I handed him a $20. He did not give the 13 cents or ask I asked for extra dressing for my spinach salad and he replied "It already has dressing on it." I knew that but I like to see the dressing and have extra.
Love this restaurant. The beef stew with polenta is great. I had a beet salad this time and loved it. My only reason for four stars is that we asked for separate checks and were declined. We were just two couples, not a large party.
We had great service and great food! This is the second time we’ve been there for birthday.
Thanks Mom had a great time😊
This is a great place to eat. The food , the service, the pricing, everything was good.
I had the salmon. Excellent. My sister (date) hah had the prime rib. She loved it.
I always recommend the Union Hotel.
Amazing prime rib dinner and service. Best bread /bruschetta ever. Highly recommend
Service was fantastic and the salad and drink I got was spot on.
Service was better this time. However, check in needs improvement. The hostess asked if we preferred inside or outside seating. I had made reservations specifically for outside seating. She said she would check if there was any availability outside. Again there were no fried green beans even though they are on the menu. The waitress advised they've been unable to get green beans from their supplier for months. I suggest Union Hotel buy some from the Safeway down the street, or remove them from the printed paper menu.
Worth another visit
Our champagne bottle was hot. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said well I brought you an ice bucket I’m sure it’ll cool down soon. Champagne should be served ice cold. This was not a proper response. The food was OK, nothing special. The outdoor dining was a fully enclosed patio which might as well have been inside. From a Covid perspective there was absolutely no airflow.
This is a great spot for good food and cocktails. Love the patio with windows open
The food is good, generous portion size . The Chocolate mousse pie was the Best ! Highly recommend that !
Great food and super service! Always impressed with the quality of the food and such nice people running the place
Service was great. It’s COVID, so how good can the ambiance be? My salad tasted good, a little heavy on the dressing but was massive. I could have had it as my entree. The ravioli was disappointing. It was frozen, not fresh and the flavor the filling muddled. It didn’t taste like much. I might go there again and only get a salad or a pizza. So this is not a dig at the restaurant in total, just the entrees (my wife had the chicken Marsala which was not very good) are sub-par.
Union Hotel is always a great spot to meet with people, great food, great service, and perfectly set up for outside distanced dining. Can't wait to go back!
Best place for yummy food ! Great service and the owners are so kind and accomodating
Delicious food! Excellent service!
The waiter I had and have had other times is extremely rude! He is also really slow. I am surprised he is still there. I have been there many times during the years, but after this last time, I won't go again!
We were seated at the table and ignored. We left after 20 minutes of no acknowledgement of our presence.
The only good thing was a phone call the next day apologizing for the poor treatment.
The food was okay but nothing memorable. We were thankful to have the outside eating area with a covered area but it was so very noisy. And, I know there is no way to control that. Just the way it is.
Our waitress was friendly and pleasant. Nothing special. She did bring me extra napkins when I asked for them and was prompt about it.
Beef stew and polenta dish is outstanding. Great meal on a cool evening. The salmon on my salad (steak salad, but substituted salmon) was excellent.
The nice warm patio is lovely and my favorite spot is the table for two in front of the fire place.
All the staff including the owners are the most kind and welcoming people.
Great place for every day dining or that special dinner date.
Our group of four were planning on dining at Graton; however, all the restaurants were booked. In addition the staff at Graton were very rude, I had pulled my mask down to take a sip of my wine and a staff member walked up and forcefully advised me that I was not allowed to take a sip of my wine unless I was seated somewhere.
We ended up looking online for a restaurant and found an opening at 7pm at the Union Hotel. When we arrived the waitress led us back to a beautiful porch with ample heating. The menu was primarily Italian; however, offered many diverse options. The wine list is not huge but offered a nice variety of choices.
The menu options we chose were excellent. The ravioli's, stew, and shrimp pasta with salads were all delicious!
We will eat hear again!
This is still one of my favorite places to eat lunch.
