   This could be an amazing place. Food is good, location is excellent, and the place, if well maintained, could be a beautiful bistro. But it is neglected and service is really slow and they don’t seem to care. When we arrived they said that they couldn’t find my reservation. Although it was not a problem, because the place was half full. Now I know why.

   The ambience is nothing to write home about. However, the food was excellent, and service good. Not surprisingly, 90% of their sales seem to be takeout.

   Only one server and service was beyond choppy. It was embarrassing to see that the server couldn't serve us tea as he was by himself. I invited my out of town team to try out this location and was deeply disappointed by the overall experience. I would only get a take out as this is not a sit down place or experience.

    The food was good, but terrible service. One of 6 guests was not surved until it was time to leave, we had to take his order to go. The 13 year old waiter was yelling on cooks in strong language in front of customers. Very unpleasant experience.

    Our absolute favorite place to eat in Jersey City - everything on the menu is amazing, we have a hard time choosing what to get every time we go because everything is so good. Best french toast I’ve ever had!!

    We were super happy with the mezze platter and Zaatar pitza and salmon dish. There were some issues with food coming out promptly at the same time. But, we definitely would be going back. Such a delicious spot. Very good wait staff service too.

    Food was tasty. However, half of our parties order was never entered. When they realized they said it would be out soon without checking what it was. For 40 minutes we waited for the other orders to come out, and in that span no one came by to check on us or offer some snacks or a drink to the people who were waiting. They eventually comped the two meals, but we won’t be going back.

    I’m gluten free due to a allergy and the menu was labeled perfectly to show what’s gluten free and what’s not. Get all the sides on the menu and any of the crepes are gluten free!

    Babaganoush and hummus were phenomenal but only came with two pieces of pita. We also got the chicken shawarma and chicken shishkebab sandwiches which were great. Server could have been more attentive - we were without water a lot.

    Love the restaurant, love the food, understand that servers are overloaded and there is a giant shortage of labor. But… we had quite an awful experience: my friend was brought a wrong order 10 minutes after the 1st two people were given their food. My omelet was completely omitted until someone finally stopped by to ask me if I ordered food s at least 15-20 minutes later so everyone was mostly done by the time I received the entree. Another person’s side order was likewise totally forgotten. We were comped the dessert, but honestly - too little too late to make up for so many mishaps. Hope the kids get a better grip on the task as the place is really nice and special.

    Love this place! The service is always great - warm, friendly, and appropriately attentive. We love their brunch - Tunisian eggs, waffles, spinach and cheese crepes and Nutella crepes are some of our favourites. We also love all of the Lebanese dishes we’ve tried - fresh and flavourful. Great neighbourhood spot.

    We have visited Uncle Momo several times and every single time we loved the food, the service. We go in a huge group and they can accommodate the size and the demand. We ALL love the fresh baked pita bread, the fresh squeezed orange juice. Oh, the dishes are fresh and made to order. If you love food and service, this is a place for you!

    Uncle Momos was such a great experience! We stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday and enjoyed a leisurely and delicious experience. The food was outstanding, a true fusion of middle eastern with some French influence. Everything was fresh, delicious and unique and we can’t wait to return!

    Uncle momo is one of my favorite places in jersey city. They’re friendly and kind and have the most amazing food. I love that it’s BYOB and I can usually get a reservation when I want one. Love them.

    food is fair, nothing really special - portions are big. Restaurant is BYOB - I don't know why this is not so clear when doing reservation Service should improve, I don't know if they were understaffed but should improve.

    Absolutely wonderful meal at Uncle Momo. We sat outside, in spite of a massive thunder storm. The staff was very accommodating to those that wanted to move in, as well as of us sitting out. My son ordered the rack of lamb, which was delicious. I ordered the lamb tagine, which was all that you’d want in a tagine. The lamb was wonderfully flavored and fell straight off the bone. The sauce was well reduced, aromatic and just sweet enough. An amazing dish! We also got the fatoush salad, which was great and clean. Staff could not have been better, as they were personable and accommodating. Great meal and evening.
