Uncle Julio's - Brookfield
Uncle Julio’s menu also includes Tex-Mex classics such as tacos, enchiladas & tamales all with a selection of sauces made daily. Insider tip: order the tableside guacamole. It’s prepared for you at your table; if you like it spicy kick it up a notch with fresh chopped jalapenos.
Uncle Julio’s has a vast drink selection. Try our fresh margarita of the day, made to order with fresh fruit. If you prefer a frozen drink then the Swirl is definitely the perfect choice. The Swirl is frozen sangria & frozen margarita layered together dating back to 1987.
Cool place with fun drink options. Unfortunately though the food is not good at all. I would not recommend and will not be back.
We were happy we were finally able to get a table without a wait. In the past we just left because there was too long of a wait. The food was excellent and our server went above and beyond with his service.
As usual, the food was delicious, but for the first time, the service was poor. Our waitress was not attentive and there were several mistakes with the order. Hopefully it was just an off day.
Our server was responsive and thoughtful. She had a positive way of interacting with the people at our table. Food was very good and it was a pleasant experience.
This was the third time I have eaten at Uncle Julio's in the last three months. Our server, Cecilia, was WONDERFUL (very attentive, big smile, and very friendly). The guy who made our table side guacamole was a charming delight as well. Everyone enjoyed themselves, the food, the drinks, and the Chocolate Lovers Pinata.
Yes, I would highly recommend Uncle Julio's in Brookfield to my friend's (and I did just that last night).
Horrible service and horribly over priced. You could see the tension between staff members, which was unfortunate.
Overall, the experience was just okay. For the amount of money we paid, though, I don't think the food was that great. There are other places we can go. I don't know if we'll go back.
Had a reservation we waited for a few of our party members. Food was good but service was slow to get dinner dishes off table before we got our desert.
For the prices i was looking for a bigger portion but, the food was worth it.
The fish taco shells were soft and fell apart terrible!
Hello Dean, We appreciate your time and consideration you took to let us know that your Uncle Julio's experience was not up to our standards. We regret we didn't meet your taco expectations. We hope you will come in for a more exceptional memorable visit. Thank you, Uncle Julio's
Very unhappy with service and food as well! Our server was very nice but not very attentive!

Overall I enjoyed the food emensley! However, the 3 young women hostesses were NOT welcoming at all. When we first came in we weren't greeted, I had to get their attention, no smiles, and didnt ask if we wanted to sit outside which we did. When we asked to sit outside the hostess sat us right in the sun at a table with no umbrella...when we asked to move inside, the hostess act like we irritated her. Our Server and the food were our saving grace as we were set to not return. First impressions mean alot!
Hello Jose, Thank you for your business. We deeply apologize for the reception you received. We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention, so we can investigate. This is certainly not our standard. We hope to get the opportunity to serve you again with a great experience you expect from us from start to finish. Thank you, Uncle Julio's
As so, the food was delicious! All was served promptly and we enjoyed eating outside.
Nice interior, friendly staff. We tried the fresh margarita of the day, which I liked but my friend did not. The waitress was happy to take it off the bill and bring her something else, which was very nice and not expected. Another staff member also came over to inquire if something was wrong with the drink and wanted to make sure we were happy. The house margaritas and chips and guac were all GREAT. The food came within 5 minutes of ordering which was a little awkward as we were still working on the chips and guac. The entrees were meh. I had the shrimp tacos and my friend had the chicken enchiladas. They seem kind of “assembled” versus cooked to order. Definitely not worth the $20+ price tag each. Jose’s Blue Sombrero is much better food and less expensive. Good place for drinks with friends but wouldn’t go back for the food.
Waitress was a delight. She was informative, patient and attentive, especially with my mom who is 80. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, watching the kitchen activities and breaking /eating a chocolate pinata for dessert. yummy, we will be back.
Great chips and salsa
Services was very slow. 15 minutes to get a drink once we ordered. Prices very high for the type of food. Dishes were cheap considering the prices. Won't probably go back.

Food was good however service is lacking. Very slow perhaps more staff is needed
I have celiac disease and can't have gluten. I asked for a gluten free menu and was told they didn't have one. So I asked the server what options I had and he was unsure of what I could order and asked the kitchen. I ended up ordering pork tacos. We had five people in our party and our food arrived an hour after we ordered it. My pork tacos arrived cold to the touch and had a large piece of fat instead of meat in one of the tacos. We were celebrating my birthday and the meal was very disappointing. There is always next year.

Good food but music is always way too loud so you can’t carry on conversations with your dining companions without shouting.
Food was decent. Came out fast. Got chicken and steak fajitas. Steak had much more flavor. The woman who brought out our food forgot tortillas and said she’d being them and never did. Had to flag down our waiter. My one child did not like the quesadilla. The cheese tasted funny. Chips and salsa and homemade tortillas were excellent though!
Unfortunately, this restaurant only has 2 vegetarian options, and the evening we went we sat down, got drinks, and when the server came back to take our order, we were told they were out of both of those. We asked if anything else could be made vegetarian, and were told no, so we had to leave and eat elsewhere
Hello , Thank you for spending your time with us and giving us a try. We are sorry we missed the mark on this visit. We deeply apologize for the concern this has caused you. Please accept our sincere apology. Thank you, Uncle Julio's
We had a 6:30 pm reservation, that I thought was early enough. This was on July, 4th evening. The restaurant was out of Fajitas, I thought that was their signature item. That is the reason I gave this visit lower rating. Our sitting was near outside wall, too much Sun was coming in. We kept changing seats to avoid Sun. Service was not bad but we had a great service at a previous occasion. May be they were short of servers on this day. The visit turned out to be an average overall.
We've already recommended Uncle Julio's to friends. The food is very good; service is good. Noise level is terrible. Dining with friends and trying to catch up, carry on conversations, is very difficult. It's not just the noise of the people talking. It's the added noise of loud music which isn't necessary.
Loved that outdoor seating was available. Every single employee was extremely positive and friendly.
Fantastic server and overall great experience. Food was wonderful and very accommodating to our larger group size
Service was very slow all 3 times I've visited. Food and Drinks overpriced.
Hello Renee, Thank you for your business. We are sorry we didn't meet your expectations on your past 3 visits. The restaurant follows strict guidelines and procedures that ensure the restaurant is running at optimal level. We greatly appreciate your insight. Your feedback has been addressed. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you again. Thank you, Uncle Julio’s
When we first arrived, it didn't take long to be seated. However once we were shown our booth, there was food and drink spilled all over the floor. We had to ask the host to clean it up, which she only swept it up and didn't mop, leaving the floor still messy and sticky. We almost decided to leave, but ask could we just be seated at another booth, but apparently there were no more available. So we were sat in another area instead. This area was a little more crowded and we ended up at a table instead of a booth as originally requested. Our server was nice and the food was good. We would like to return, but the first impressions wasn't the best. So it may be awhile or we will order out.

I am sad to write this review because this was my 3rd time dining here as we have really enjoyed it, but this visit missed the mark. Seemed to be plenty of dining inside yet were placed at table which was in more of a party room atmosphere, surrounded by large parties it was just my husband and I. It was so loud in that room! Also, what is the point of Open Table asking if you are celebrating anything but then it is not acknowledged at the restaurant? We were celebrating our anniversary this night and certainly was not looking for a hand out, but don't ask if you don't plan on even mentioning it! The biggest problem was the lack of service we received from our server. When we ordered our entrees we asked for a couple changes, I asked for No Pico on my fish tacos and the servers response was "So extra pico?" (Trying to be funny and we laughed.) And my husband asked for extra tortillas right away for his fajitas. Food comes, and there is Pico on my tacos and no extra tortillas for husband. It took quite a while for her to come back and ask how everything was. At this point I managed to pick off most of my pico off my tacos but while doing this it also took off the avocado crema sauce that was on the tacos so when she came back with my pile of pico sitting on an extra plate, I asked for an extra side of the sauce and my husband asked for more tortillas. Servers response, "They really didn't bring you extra? Ugh." She left and about 10 minutes later came back to check on us...which we said we are just waiting for the extra sauce and tortillas so now our food is getting cold because we are waiting for these things to enjoy our food. The rest of the meal just went like this, SO SLOW. It took forever to get our bill, no plates were ever cleared from our table until she brought the bill (including appetizer plates!) It just was disappointing. Our dinner was $92.00 before tip, I would expect much more. Food tastes great and love their drinks, this just missed the mark.
I ordered a pinata when I made reservations online. No one made me aware there were 2 choices for
$25 or $30. When they called me that morning to confirm the reservation, I once again mentioned we
had ordered a pinata for a suprise birthday celebration.
Yet when we arrived for dinner the server didn't know I ordered it. When we finished eating, she brought
the $30 pinata which I didn't know existed. We didn't like it as well as the $25 one (which had 3 different dipping sauces and more fruit) She did have our bill adjusted to $25, not $30, which I appreciated
Honestly I liked the beans, no one else did. I liked the chips, not the salsa. The strawberry drink was all ice. The food was plain.
The service was great, and the food was amazing! I recommend the strawberry margarita on the rocks! Very good!
Food was bland and drinks are way overpriced. Service was good and food arrives super fast.
Great food! Loved the atmosphere. We will be back again.
Great Margaritas. Staff friendly and helpful. And food is very good and flavorful.
I really enjoyed my meal and time well spent with my family the restaurant was amazing and I would love to come back again for another meal thanks for great management hiring amazing servers.
The chicken tacos were very bland. I was not impressed at all. Would not go back.
I thought it was a very nice elegant place. Food was very good
Place was very loud. Tables outside were open but no servers serving the bar patio. Table were full of dirty dishes and no patrons.
Food was prepared incorrectly and they weren’t clearing off plates or empty glasses.

Ladies Night Out Success
Finally made it out with some friends from work. Just so happened there was an extra coupon deal for loyalty club members that was the perfect reason to indulge in the chocolate piñata. Our waitress seemed super busy; but was polite when we did see her. Tamales were great; and all dishes were plentiful.
