Very nice experience, server was great and the food was even better!
Great service! Nice restaurant. The food was great and our waiter was very friendly!!
Great service with lots of information for first timers. Food on point for the most part, though the French onion soup was long on beef and short in onion flavor and Jack’s Punch was just that. If you what a “real” drink, skip it. Otherwise a good experience and we will go back!
I loved the atmosphere. The food is a bit bland, which was surprising, before going I read that some of the food items weren’t good, but I wanted to try for myself. I’d go back just to sit at the bar for drinks.
I wish seating from other diners were spaced out. The person seated at the table behind us was coughing like she was gonna bring up a lung. I pray she doesn’t have Covid, because many attendees will be affected. Not every server wore masks. There were more without than with.
My wife was here for the soft opening and really enjoyed the experience. We came tonight for my birthday.
I will preface this review with the understanding that staffing a restaurant right now is difficult with the Covid issues. However, it was not a good experience tonight. It was 30+ minutes to get our cocktails. When the cocktails did arrive, they were served with no ice. Even asked the server about this and she indicated she didn’t want to upset the bartenders by asking for ice. Appetizers were over salted and the service was less than stellar. The highlight was the steak and sprouts my wife had. My salmon was average. I’ll try it once more to see if the lack of staff was the issue. But ownership needs to balance staffing levels with how many people they can serve. Better to serve less people with quality service than to let the quality slip by trying to serve too many customers.
Great food! Great service! Great night out!! Will 100% be back!
My husband and I love the menu at this Uncle Jack's location. It has more of a variety. We have been to the Sugarloaf location many times but enjoy this location the best. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is delicious. We look forward to enjoying the outdoor dining once the weather is nicer.
Food was great! Will definitely be going back soon!
This is such a welcomed restaurant to the Lawrenceville area. I ate at an Uncle Jack's in Roswell for the first time in December and loved the food and service. I was pleased to experience the same quality and good service at the Lawrenceville location. We started with the Bacon appetizer, which is a must in my eyes. We also had the Mozzarella wedges which was the weakest link in my opinion. The mozzarella was still firm and not soft and gooey as I like it, making it taste like it was frozen and not fresh. I had the Pork Shank, grits and Broccoli, all of which were fabulous. The waiter was very attentive. My only disappointment was that they did not have the Corn Brulee side dish of Roswell. I would recommend they add that to their menu.
New Year’s Eve
Checked all the boxes for an awesome New Years Eve dinner. One word "Bacon". I was told by one of my son's to be sure and order the Bacon and I would thank him later. Indeed I did. Also, thank you Nattlie. Happy New Year.
Petite entre sizes. 40 dollar ribeye was tough tiny and not seasoned. Seafood pot did not come with bread or any side for 30 dollars. My sister got a vodka Marti it was 1 1/2 ounce 16 bucks. Our server was good but had too many tables but he managed well. We will not return. If the can't come up with a better value and flavor they won't make it.
I had high expectations after dining at Uncle Jack's Meat House. Sorely disappointed. We were seated at a table for 4 that only had 3 chairs. Hostess went to get a 4th chair and must have gotten sidetracked. Server was friendly but spread over to many tables. She wasn't servicing any very well. Wedge salad was served warm and limp. Sandwich had limp lettuce and awful tomatoes. Bun was soggy. Had to send back an undercooked piece of meat and the waitress forgot to bring it back to the table. They didn't have salt and pepper but rather a salt and pepper blend that was wet and wouldn't come out of the shaker. Food was mediocre at best. Poor service. No manager to be seen. Drinks were not refilled. A very poor and pricey experience. Too bad because it's a very nice restaurant but we won't be returning any time soon.
Outstanding food and service, can’t wait to go back!!!
My family and I live the food. So happy to have a location in Lawrenceville.
Service was great! Ambience was pleasing. Pricey menu. $4 for 1 meatball! Music was too loud. 2 out of 3 burgers were burnt. Fries tasted hours old.
Great food, service and a great location in Lawrenceville, GA. We were able to eat outside which we appreciated. Definitely will go back!
First time visiting. Food was very good. We will be returning!
We absolutely loved the food and drinks. We had the steak and brisket sandwich. My husband, a spice lover, loved the spicy Mexican drink. I had the blackberry smash which was recommended and well worth the recommendation. Parking was easy to find. Great restaurant in downtown Lawrenceville. We will definitely go back again.
Amazing ambiance, service and food! Wonderful addition to downtown Lawrenceville!
Laurie, our server was awesome. Food was delicious.
Maple bacon! That’s all you need to know!!! Great selection of craft beers, and the burgers are as big as your head.
Great food, great service. Made a reservation just to be on the safe side. Definitely going back.
Great food and service.
Everything was delicious!!! No complaints at all! So glad to have a this one in our area!!
Restaurant has been open for 3 weeks. Nice atmosphere and overall layout. Staff was attentive, and the food was great. We got chicken pot pie, Asian salad with chicken, and short rib pasta. All came out at the correct temps and tasted great. Check it out.
Great addition to Lawrenceville. We will be back!
Good service, great atmosphere, food was very average
We had a great dinner. Manager noticed our dinner hadn't arrived and gave us a complimentary appetizers.
Looking forward to going again
Food was great.. was seated by kitchen.. would avoid these tables. Appetizers took a while to come out.. would recommend.
We had a wonderful meal at Jack’s! Food was excellent, drinks were delicious and the service was spectacular! Can’t wait to go back!
The food and drinks were delicious! Ask for Aaron to be your server!
Service was great from beginning to end!! Some food items were just okay. They were out of the appetizer we ordered (dumplings), we subbed out for the tempura shrimp but it was not tempura more like Chinese food shrimp but still tasted good. The fries & steak sandwich were underwhelming.
Everyone’s food was not very good. Small pieces of overcooked chicken
Great service from Kami and incredible food! Been to the Duluth location many times, but will be frequenting the Tavern from now on!! Great location and easy to park. Larger menu and the bacon appetizer is the best app ever created.
First time dining at the new Lawrenceville location. Had a warm friendly greeting when we arrived, server was great and we were checked on by the manager throughout out our visit. The food was absolutely wonderful! Can’t wait to return!!!!
Very nice restaurant. Good service
We ate dinner before a show and we were thoroughly impressed. Rachel was a wonderful server and she had some great wine suggestions. Our food was cooked perfectly and the manager even came by to check on us. It was a great dining experience. Can’t wait to try the outdoor seating area next time!
They had over half their menu not available. We had maybe 4-5 different employees help us but would never give us what we asked for. It was a special occasion and they did nothing for it and my meal was not good.
Great parking, great ambiance. Clean and new. Fun looking menu items. However, the thought in how food was delivered was not good. For starters, their draft beer had not arrived and half the menu items were not available. My burger was impractical, falling apart, and mushy. My husband’s seafood pot came with no side plate or nutcracker to crack open the claws. It was $30 for a very small portion.
