Food, service, ambience all encouraged my friends and I to enjoy an extended evening of company and imbibing.

Had an amazing experience from start to finish!!! The Bacon app was impressive and tasted even better than it looked!! . Great choice of meats, burgers and charcuterie.

The food was excellent! Smaller portions that expected, but everything was cooked very well.

For date night, we decided to try this place out and it was the best decision we had made. Not only was it delicious but the service was amazing!

We received a gift card for Christmas to Uncle Jacks which is one of our favorite restaurants. We decided to try this one since we’ve never been and figured it would the same... NO! This establishment doesn’t live up to anything in the uncle jacks service you get at the other locations. We waited over 40 mins for dinner and I received the wrong order they then rush my dish out and the “lobster tail” that was suppose to come w my steak w cold lobster meat thrown on top! I had two bites of my steak which wasn’t cooked the way I asked. They did remove that off my bill but still didn’t take away from the fact our valentines date was kinda ruined I basically didn’t eat. The waiter was so slow barely checked in on us. I won’t be returning to this location and i definetly won’t be referring it to anyone either.

This is the second special occasion we have chosen MH and were once again disappointed by the lack of wait staff. On NYE there seemed to be two servers for the entire restaurant. On Valentine’s Day there was only two servers for the entire restaurant. Dinner was not timed properly and took twice as long as it should have. The restaurant was also a grade B which was extremely disappointing. I checked the health department website while at dinner and the citations issued were quite significant and not just due to refrigerator temperatures.

We ate at this place for more than twice and the meat was always good but this time we did the Valentine’s Day pre fixed menu and the meat and food wasn’t good as usual. Feels like they prepare the food ahead of time and just reheat. Both meat entrees were dry but well seasoned.
I believe if we end up doing the regular menu, the meat wasn’t that dry, wasn’t a good experience as we always had.

The restaurant had great atmosphere and the servers were very good and friendly but the food was terrible.
French fries were not fresh ( appeared to be prepared earlier and just heated. Steak was not good at all. Especially because it’s a meat house) the pot roast was good, a little dry had to ask for gravy or au juice for it.

The ambiance in Astoria fits in with the multicultural restaurants in the area. We enjoy this restaurant over the Uncle Jack’s in Bayside as we felt like they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. The space in Bayside is very small and the people at the bar are quite noisy. Our Server Mark at Uncle Jack’s Meat House was very professional and attentive. The mini lobster salad Taco appetizers were delicious but extremely small (3)for the price. Overall, the food is good but a bit pricey.

The wife hated it. Food sucks, drinks suck, bad service, they were late for our OpenTable reservation to top it off and the dining room was not full

Awful. We returned our food. Will never go back.

This is a very good lower cost outpost of Uncle Jack's Steakhouse in Bayside and Manhattan. The service is still very good. Our waiter, Joe, was attentive, friendly and made very helpful suggestions. The sides, although listed as shareable were a bit too small for more than 2 people.
The atmosphere is very interesting.
No valet parking at this location, but I found a spot on the street about a block awAy on one of the cross streets.
Someplace that I'll come back to next time I'm in Astoria

The young lady who assisted the server with our table was attentive and nice ! She made it a pleasant experience.

Loved the set up and atmosphere of this restaurant. We all had burgers, but they were outstanding. Our waitress was fun, attentive, but not over attentive (which was perfect). Will definitely go back.

Went to brunch with friends. First time there and the food was delicious. Had the chicken and waffles and they both had burgers. Can’t wait to go back for dinner to try that menu.

Although when I booked online on open table that it was my boyfriend and I’s anniversary, no one mentioned a thing. I’m not the type to whisper to a rude waitress either. This was my first and last time eating out on Christmas and eating at Uncle Jacks. My waitress was beyond terrible. Over two hours and we were not asked if we needed anything or were ok?! Then another girl literally grabbed my half full plate and then asked if I was done once she saw the look on my face. Where did you get these people?! Never again! Oh wait dessert LOL, we ordered three pre fixed dessert meals so therefore we should get three desserts.
I bet my boyfriend we would get one n sure enough we did. This time around from a male... I told him 3 entrees etc so he said let Me find out n came back with two more. Sorry jacks I tried but your staff is terrible.

Went for Christmas Dinner. Wish they offered more options but food was ok. Our server wasn’t that great. Seemed to be in a rush for us to leave. Didn’t come to check on us often at all and service restaurant wasn’t that busy

Had a booth in the back, was great with the big family and the baby. Staff was great!

It was a friends birthday and having been there a month prior the same group gathered again at Uncle Jack’s to celebrate.

The evening started out well at the bar for a drink. I was the last to show and ordered a glass of wine. What struck me as odd was that when the bartender dropped off my wine he asked to take my menu leaving menus for everyone else that was seated at the bar before me. I guess I didn’t want to look over menu or order anything in his eyes.

We were then seated at a round booth as we were the ONLY table in the restaurant. We got settled and Sandra came by to take our order. She was our server last time and commented how great she was so we were happy to have her again. Little did we know that things were not going to be the same.

Our order was taken and read back to us quickly so we felt confident we would receive what we ordered. The appetizers were great as we remembered even though they were out of the Chilean sea bass. We made do and ordered the ribs which were very good. Sandra asked if we wanted to order and I said we would like to wait five minutes. Those five minutes turned into about twenty minutes with no check back on how our apps were. We wanted more dressing for our salads and had to get up and ask for it because the chef and the servers had their backs to us while on their phones. Not so happy at this point.

Then the meal came out and we were disappointed. Two of our party ordered the chicken sandwich. They didn’t have the regular biscuit it is served with so they opted for the bun. Both dishes came out burnt and the buns were burnt with grill marks. I mean not edible when I say burnt. The mashed potatoes seemed like they were out of a box with no flavor what so ever. My friend orders the Cajun Ribeye and it was overcooked and had no Cajun. These items were sent back but still on bill.-
There was no manager visit and the night was ruined. There’s more but no space here to convey how horrible the night was.

A friend took me here for my birthday & it was my first visit. Everything was awesome the staff, servers & most all the food! The portions were big and everything was well seasoned to perfection and we were even surprised with delicious pumpkin cheesecake. I definitely will return & highly recommend for any day of the week. Thank you Uncle Jack’s!

My family went there for Thanksgiving. Great holiday atmosphere! Even though the place was filled, the waitstaff were pleasant and chatty. The specialty bar drinks were deliciously balanced; sweet with just enough liquor. The prix fixe menu offered great choices of a traditional turkey dinner, a surf n turf consisting of a huge, tender filet mignon, topped with big, juicy grilled shrimp. The Brussels sprouts Caesar salad is a must for any sprout fans. My father had the bacon Parmesan crostini, and we all enjoyed the creamy butternut squash soup. Dessert was a sampler plate of pecan pie, pumpkin cheesecake and a hot baked apple. We finished with glasses of dessert wines and cappuccinos. No one felt rushed or hurried through the meal. I will definitely go there again!

Took my family to dinner and we had a lovely time, the food was wonderful, the service was great and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. The bacon appetizer is delicious and my family could not stop talking about the food and overall time they had. Was a wonderful evening.

You have no one in the restaurant except a party (family with 3 kids under 3) and you put myself and my date right next to them? The whole right side was empty We had to ask to be reseated place is freezing- how about some heat? I now realize you should not advertise the food just the bar Way over priced would rather spend that money on Christo's Steak House

I chose Uncle Jack’s Meat House Astoria to celebrate a friends birthday. Upon entering we all loved the atmosphere and decor. We started with drinks at the bar and they were nice enough to hand make me bleu cheese stuffed olives for my martini. The service was great as Sandra made sure we had a wonderful experience. Everything was delicious and my friends praised my choice of Uncle Jack’s. I too was pleased with my dining experience and would definitely recommend it to others. Oh and the music playlist was great and added to the ambiance.

Amazing food! Great gluten free and dairy free options. Can’t wait to go back.

The food is tasty but be warned the portions are huge. The place is in a unique neighborhood and is a fun place to visit. The service is good and the drinks are well done.

So I needed to meet a friend in Queens. I used my trusty Open Table app to find a table. We decided on Uncle Jacks. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly had drinks within minutes of arrival. We decided to do appetizers first, food next. We had the octopus and the eggplant rings. They were two excellent dishes, beautifully prepared and presented, delicious to the Max. We decided to do hamburgers for the main. Had the mushroom truffle Swiss burgers. Super tasty, quite messy to eat, really a nice burger...could have been a scoche bigger patty, but that is quibbling. Desert was the cookie trio. Spendy for what was received, but quite tasty...a nice finish to the meal. They did not rush us, were always pleasant. I would highly recommend if you need a steak house in Astoria.

The Chilean seabass skewer appetizer was delicious. The Wagu beef wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t so marblelized and tender. The bread of the burger was old and dry.

The food and the service is always great.

This place was great, not much of a crowd but that was fine, I would definitely go back.
