    Was a wonderful meal with portions much bigger than expected for an omakase. The quality, presentation, and description of each dish were phenomenal. The servers were lovely and the sushi bar seating kept us super engaged seeing the progressive preparation of each dish. The sake pairing was well worth the price and some of the best sake I’ve ever had, perfectly matching the progression of the menu. My only note is that the decor, ambience and lighting, was quite stark/basic.

    We came here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and had a wondeful time. Everything was fresh, creative and delicious. The service and pace of the meal were perfection.

    This has been our umpteenth time @ Umami Omakase. The food is excellent throughout the 18-course meal. The chefs behind the sushi counter are real pros!! The wait staff are also very alert and attentive to our needs. It is expensive, but a worthwhile experience overall.

    This was a true omakase experience - all 8 diners at the bar were having the omakase and the chef and his two sous would prepare all the delicacies at the same time and would serve and would explain in detail (sometimes with pictures and even some times with the actual whole fish) what we would be eating, how it was put together and how it should be eaten. Service was wonderful with a full sake selection and a very knowledgeable sake sommelier. Will go back every time I am in Boston!
