Great for work lunches! Great energy and service! The food was also fantastic!
Our meals and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. A little noisy but just because everyone was enjoying themselves
Authentic Italian cuisine, A hidden gem. Don’t hesitate make a reservation and go.
Everything was just great
I sat at the bar on my own and had a great dining experience. The bartender was very entertaining.
The hostess went above and beyond the call to make me comfortable. She was delightful.
I will definitely be back next time in NY
Service was incredibly sloppy throughout the meal (and they simply forgot to ever bring the dessert we ordered, but didn't forget to leave it on the bill). Given the number of other Italian restaurants nearby, can't imagine bothering ever returning.
Todo lo que comimos fue espectacular, el pescado , la pasta , las pizzas y ensaladas ... y la pizza de chocolate y plátano....para repetir😋
The service was terrible because they thought I was young and treated me like my business didn’t matter. The food was nothing exceptional. The cannolis weren’t filled all the way through. It was too expensive for the amount and quality of food you get.
a charming neighborhood restaurant that is quiet where you can actually talk to one another. The food and the service were excellent. We ended up bringing another couple with us and they also were equally impressed. We all agreed we would definitely return.
excellent food with great pasta and appetizers. Sometimes it was difficult to get the wait staff when we needed something as it was very busy. But the wait staff was friendly and knowledgable so all is forgiven!!
Always a good choice when looking for authentic Italian food in Manhattan. Terrific food, friendly service - one of my "go tos" in the city.
I have been there before and ordered Pizza which was fine so I came back
We ( 3) ordered 2 linguini with clams and 1 other pasta dish
The linguini with clams had lots of clam shells ( 1/2 of them empty ) with the smaller amount of pasta I have ever seen in 40 years of eating in Manhattan
Disclosure : I am 5’10 155 lbs and eat once a day in moderation
I asked the manager to give me more pasta ( cost 1$ or 50 c)
She went into a long explanation on how everything is prepared in advance and I believe I heard 100 grams of pasta which for someone fluent in metric system like me is a tiny portion (1/6 lbp)
This place is rude and a ripoff
Another great dinner with friends at Ulivo! Great food and excellent service. Check it out!!
I’ve been here many times and it’s always perfect. Really amazing food, lovely staff, vibrant but not too crowded or noisy. Excellent date spot and also great venue for a group meal. Highly recommend.
Loud ! Great food though
Great food and atmosphere!
Food and service were excellent. The objection was that the wine list was very limited. Only could pick one or two wines which were to our preference.
Authentic Italian at reasonable prices but very noisy and no consideratiom me. Sorry megsb sbc natklr.
Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Would be a great date spot. Food was good and not too pricey. Great spot.
Delicious food and quaint, quiet ambiance. Friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff, we'll definitely be back!
We had a great meal at this neighborhood find. We love store front places like this. Service was very good and the waiter made some great recommendations. Portion sizes were quite generous. Definitely would recommend Ulvino to others.
Exceptioservice and delicious food. Not crowded or noisy. Just a perfect intimate Italian restaurant. Highly recommend!
We like this restaurant. The staff is nice. The food is co sisterly good. They are knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Comfortable and friendly with stellar food.
Great restaurant. The ravioli is the best I’ve ever had.
My friend and I had an enjoyable evening at Ulivo...very simple but warm environment, authentic cuisine, friendly servers. My only negative comment would be that the pesto was surprisingly bland so that was disappointing, as the dish was high for pasta. Otherwise, I would try again in the future.
What a great find
Well worth the visit
Felt really rushed. In and out in less than one hour having had two courses and drinks.
Nice place, food is generally good, but our Pizza dough was a bit cold- We like our pizza warmer :)
Went for lunch and sat outside at the quaint little tables and it was very quiet. Tried the daily ravioli special and prosciutto and melon that the server recommended and absolutely loved it.
Ulivo is one of those underrated restaurants. The quality of food and service are obvious, but I like the fact it's a little understated. (I hate restaurants that rely on trendy, flashy styles.) I enjoy the space, especially the beautiful ceiling :-)
Some of the best quality Italian food I've ever had. Great vibe and service too. For sure one of my favorite restaurants in the city
Maybe would recommend, maybe would return. My pasta arrived drowned in sauce - odd for an Italian restaurant to do this. The server reluctantly took it back and replaced with another item. My companions liked their meals - and I liked the tastes I got from them too. Noisy-noisy, but I have yet to find an NYC restaurant with the right blend of good food and a noise level that permits a conversation without shouting/screaming at the top of one's voice. Expensive and only OK.
Good food and service. Go here often.
Food was excellent, although my entree needed to be sent back as it wasn't hot enough. The restaurant was very warm, although they said the ac was set on 65.
Also found the space very loud.
Director the staffs attention to detail (except the temp of my meal).
The Ulivo is yet another fake Italian restaurant in NY: Italian name, probably Italian owner, Italian maitre, and certainly Italian menu, but missing the 2 most important Italian things, ingredients and cook.
Otherwise it would be inconceivable to understand why the “linguine alle vongole” they serve were so horrible: no flavor, floating in 1 inch of water, bitter clams, and even the pasta was mistaken, as linguine are a flat tipe of long pasta, while they serve tonnarelli, that are squared.
If you still want to try Ulivo, stay away from pasta!!
took a good fifteen minutes for a waiter to take our order to acknowledge us. asked for salmon well done and it came raw and cold
Not service minded and not to recommend with kids (ours are 11 and 13) they could not even arrange a side spaghetti for my youngest ! Really at an Italian restaurant serving spaghetti all day !!
Overall, great find. We were happy with the location, as it was walking distance to Penn Station. The food and service were great.
