I saw Ukiyo on Instagram while planning my trip to Savannah. I was so excited toneat here and it absolutely did not disappoint. My entire vacation was kind of a bummer, but Ukiyo was a major highlight. Nick, my server went above and beyond and I can't say enough wonderful things about him! I'm sad this place isn't in my hometown. The tofu bao buns were incredible, the Gruner was a perfect compliment to everything I ate and the Faroe salmon was the best I've ever had. 🤩🤩

The restaurant interior design is beautiful. Unfortunately everything good kind of stopped there. It took nearly 10 minutes after being seated for our server to bring waters or check on us. After we had ordered all our food (which included 2 appetizers, 3 main dishes, and two sides), it all came out to the table at random times. There was no rhyme or reason to the order in which food came out and it meant the entire table was eating their food at different times. The food itself was just okay. Edible, but partially cold and flavor was definitely not up to par for the cost of everything. The music was loud enough we had to raise our voices significantly throughout the time we were inside. Servers were very polite but seemed to be understaffed and hectic. Overall it was extremely disappointing and we won’t be returning, though I hope the restaurant is able to figure out their stuff soon.

Recommended by a friend who lives in the area. Up and coming area in Savannah making parking a challenge. Modern restaurant with open kitchen and attractive decor. Menu choices are very creative and delicious. Our server was very helpful with details about the menu selections. Wine selections are limited, but the server recommendation was very good. Large open dining area was quite busy and loud.

The bar waiter seemed to be more friendly and Courteous to the other customers while repeatedly overlooking me. He only attempted to be nice when it was time for me to pay my bill which he didn’t show to me, he only told me the amount. I left a five dollar tip against my better judgment. If I ever come back to Savannah I won’t sit at the bar again.

The sushi was amazing - gorgeous, fresh and delicious. The chargrilled edamame was full of flavor - my favorite of the night. Easy to miss on the menu, definitely an underdog selection. We’re looking forward to trying the Bao and Ramen next time. Definitely a hidden gem in Savannah. Love the aesthetic and ambiance of the place. Great for date night… even works well for a solo dinner outing. They have a bar placed by the kitchen so you can eat and watch them cook. Service was meh. Our server seemed like she was on autopilot which is fair given she’s busy working Saturday evening. This restaurant focuses on delivery amazing meals in a timely fashion so the “southern charm” hospitality some expect takes a knee. Pricing is what you’d expect, not outrageous but not an every day choice.

This is the second time we've eaten here, and the first was much better. I'm not sure why, but the food just didn't have the "wow" factor that it did before. The menu has expanded, but the items don't justify their price, as they lack that amazingness you expect from better restaurants.

Tried this place for the first time on a Friday night. Made a reservation but arrived early and they were able to seat us. It's a small, quaint place with counter/bar seating as well as tables. Our server was great and didn't rush us. We ordered appetizers first and then we all had different "flavors" of ramen. Everything was delicious!! We will definitely go back to this neighborhood hot spot.

We sat at the bar and loved everything we ate! And we ate a lot! Our bartender took care of us, and was extremely nice, sorry I can not remember his name. It was an overall great experience, and we can not wait to go back & try the items we were too full to get to! Kudos to the kitchen staff who are on full display.

We hadn't been able to go to Ukiyo in over a year, but last Sunday's early dinner made us want to move in nextdoor! Every single thing we ordered was an Oh My Goodness treat! We had Pork Belly Bao Bun sliders, Octopus Karaage, Hamachi, Confit Duck, Unagi Bowl, and there were just two of us with no leftovers! The servers helped us navigate the enticing menu and made the evening even better. Our ONLY less than stellar comment would be that it is noisy for older sensibilities. The wonderful hostess had thoughtfully arranged the quietest spot for us, which was still lively enough for the younger, hipper crowd. We will be back soon and often! Thank you for a most memorable, delicious dinner!!

This was our first time here. We loved the ambience and the vibe. The drinks were delicious and well made. Most the dishes are small plates or shareable a which makes it easier to try several different things. The pork belly buo buns was the best pork belly I’ve ever tasted and the chilled peanut noodles were full of flavor. We will definitely be back to sample the sushi selection.

We operate with the premise that the food comes out as it’s ready. Ukiyo was outstanding! We loved the way the menu was structured - small plates meant to be shared, everything from bao to sushi. The chicken karaage was incredible - we got it Nashville hot style (highly recommend). The pork belly bao were also great. Sushi was phenomenal, drinks were delicious, service was amazing, and last but not least, the mochi tasted freshly made! We love Ukiyo!

Absolutely above and beyond customer service. My wife has some allergies and isn’t a fan of spicy food. My wife and I after looking at the menu were going to settle on drinks and then move on. After speaking with the waiter about our situation the kitchen manager came out with the menu and went over it with her. He then had one of the sushi chef’s come out and go over what rolls he could make for her. She has never been to a restaurant where they took the time to truly provide her with options much less customization on their own dishes. We normally go in to a restaurant knowing our limited options and go with the flow. I highly recommend having a date night/dinner with friends, they hold customer service as their upmost priority and will do whatever they can to ensure a wonderful experience for all.

This was our second time at Ukiyo and it was just as good as the first! The Chicken Karaage (you gotta get the hot version!) is what brought us back and it is by far the best in the city. I also couldn’t believe to see toro featured as a special tonight as I’ve never seen toro anywhere in Savannah. We had the Chicken Karaage, the Confit Duck, the Toro Handroll, the Toro Sashimi, the Bluefin Nigiri, and the Kamikaze Roll and everything was impeccable. FYI the Ramen is also to die for — I had the Kimchi Pork Ramen last time and it 100% hit the spot (make sure you get the spice bomb to add though!)

All in all, a pleasant dining experience. Wait service was impeccable. The tasty Hamachi Kamikaze and the Agedashi Tofu starters were easy to share. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. The ramen and broth hit the spot but the pork belly was disappointingly mushy. We expected more of a sear and a bit more salt. Next time we want to try the ribs and the chicken karaage.

I was on vacation in Savannah and really craving ramen. I found Ukiyo on google and made a same day reservation. Our server told us they just started offering sushi so my family and I tried it and it was DELICIOUS! The pork ramen was amazing as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals and cocktails. Service was quick, the restaurant was beautiful and our server was great. I will be back whenever I'm in Savannah again.

we really enjoy ukiyo - vibrant atmosphere - very good and interesting food unlike anything else in savannah - the food and service were very good but we did have one issue last night - there was water dripping down on me from the air conditioner unit on the ceiling - onto my left side - we talked to the waitress then the hostess and asked to be moved - there were many open tables - we were told they were all reserved for six diners - never during our time there were the tables set for six nor were there any tables of six seated against the wall, without air conditioners above - and even when we left there were still plenty of open tables - we were told we could move the table a little which was very nice, so now the water dripped on my right side - i mentioned my disappointment to the hostess on our departure who was very defensive and not happy with me - we will be back but will insist on a drip free table.
