We are so lucky to have one of the most beautiful views of Fistral Beach, nestled inside the historic hotel, The Headland. You are overlooking the clifftops over the ocean, watching the world pass you by.
It’s truly a place where all of your problems disappear.

We see Cornwall as a hidden gem in this fabulous country, so we only use what we find in the South-West of England from our fisherman, farmers and suppliers, keeping our menu hyper-local and traceable. Our restaurant menu is created for you. Pick up to 4 courses of our regularly-changing menu, so you can eat in the way that you most want to.

We are breaking down the boundaries to the conventional ‘fine dining’ restaurant. Instead, it’s dining for you, at your leisure.

    Had an amazing afternoon tea experience. We had our two dogs with us and the layout was perfect for us. Beautiful setting and wonderful food. Great service from Izzy, she was really informative and very warm and friendly. Thanks for great service. We will definitely be back.

    Going to Ugly Butterfly 2.0 there was a certain amount of trepidation; however on meeting Adam as we walked in everything fell into place and it felt like home! Adam, George, Nic, Tobie, Jamie, Kelvin, Hayley and the entire team were exceptional as always. Whenever we return it feels like we are a part of a special family and yesterday was no exception. The new venue at the Headland was fabulous; how you guys have made magic happen so quickly is extraordinary. The food was fantastic and brilliant and also it was the atmosphere and the ambience which was sensational - you guys smashed it and thanks for everything you do!

    We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and chose the Ugly Butterfly as a new exciting restaurant. The food and service were very good however there were a few areas that made our visit uncomfortable. It was a warm sunny day and the restaurant was very hot and uncomfortable, no fans or air conditioning and the doors couldn't be opened as it was windy outside. The guests who wanted to use the terrace menu were also using the restaurant, which spoilt the ambience. We were paying £120 per head for an exceptional menu but had people in gym gear eating fish and chips and burger and chips sat next to us. Very disappointing overall

    Outstanding restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing, stunning views and the staff are absolutely fantastic, especially our waiter tom who made sure we had the most memorable visit for my birthday. Thank you so much, we can't wait to return!

    Spectacular food, in particular the scallops and crab dishes. All of the quality of a Frog experience at a fraction of the price. The conservatory dining space is prone to heat up uncontrollably near the front (with the best views) between 6-8pm during hot weather, which is something that will I am sure be sorted out soon (this location only opened this week). Book up before you can't !

    Brand new location for UB2.0 with stunning views over Fistral. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the food is exceptional and the service friendly and attentive. All the local produce that goes into the menu is high quality. The tiramisu was special and came with a real sense of theatre.

    Having previously visited the restaurant at Carbis Bay, we were already fans of their unique approach to sustainable fine dining. Considering they’d only been open a few days when we visited, the quality, atmosphere, and service were already outstanding. The staff were absolutely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and really helpful when it came to choosing from the menu. They clearly know the dishes well and gave us some great recommendations. As for the food – it was nothing short of exceptional – beautifully presented, full of flavour, and really thoughtful. You can tell there’s a lot of care and creativity behind each dish, but it still feels relaxed and unpretentious. The location is great for us too – it’s right by the beach, so after the lovely lunch we could head straight out for a walk with the dog. Much easier than Carbis Bay, where dog access was more limited. All in all, an excellent experience – we’re already looking forward to going back. Highly recommended!
