Uchi, "home" in Japanese, is founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole. A delicate balance of elevated food and impeccable service, Uchi offers non-traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and seasonal omakase. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

    Had the happy hour chefs tasting menu plus extra order of Gyutoro and edamame. Awesome selection, tasty and great quality. Looking forward to doing 10-course omakase next time.

    Both the last server and the one we had this time gave us such professional service. The food was amazing, and thanks to them, we had a really enjoyable and satisfying dinner. Can’t wait to go back!

    Highly varied and inventive menu. The Uchi salad was unusual and exceptionally good. The sushi is also excellent, but I recommend asking your waiter for suggestions on menu specialty items that are not typically found on most Japanese menus. There are some great options to surprise your palate. The "fried milk" dessert is an absolute killer that you must try. Cocktails are solid. The Boulvardier provides a nice apricot twist on the original recipe. Service was impeccable. The noise level is a bit high in the upper seating area, but still reasonable. Quiet outdoor seating can be found at the back of the restaurant. Uchi is a great addition to the Phoenix dining scene. We will return!

    My wife and I enjoyed happy hour at Uchi from 4:30 PM to 6 PM on Saturday their menu is a little pricey but the experience is unmatched with their flavors and presentations. They have an amazing wait staff that tends your every need. Highly recommend Uchi for an elevated sushi experience.

    I loved the food! But the service was extremely slow. It took them 45 min to bring 3 rolls. :(
