Uchi - Denver
Fourth time in and still as good as ever. Impeccable service and knowledge of the menu in the front of house, quality ingredients and execution from the kitchen are the highlights but from top to bottom the place is firing on all cylinders. A welcome addition to the neighborhood and the scene in general.
Shout out to Chef Becca for the excellent bites and care taken with our meal.
One of the best meals I have had in a while and we dine out at nice restaurants weekly. John the bartender was fantastic with service, drinks and food recommendations!
Excellent food will definitely be back but our service was well below Average. Don’t let people who don’t want to be here working to be here... the service tainted our meal but the food was phenomenal... The atmosphere was great too.
Wouldn't be first recommendation for sushi but still worth recommending.
AMAZING! Sit up at the sushi bar, it's such a great experience! Cannot recommend this enough!
Delicious! We were there for our anniversary and even got a special dish for free made for us! Delicious food, lots of specials that are unique and just a great vibe overall.
One of the best meals in Denver in a long time. Service was on point and food was delicious!
Can’t stop going back. I wish everything in my life was as good as Uchi
We let our server and the chef elect our meals after sharing our preferences and $/person - what followed was an excellent varied flavorful nine courses which we will remember for a long time! This is a Curtis Park gem!! For those driving in, they do have valet or walkable from the Ramble Hotel.
The food was delicious and unique. Our server was excellent, but I don't remember her name. The cost was very high - the plates are small. For 2 of us, our bill was $200 (we did drink a couple of bottles of saki- $4 each, and we had one beer). If you go hungry, you will need a lot of small plates to not be hungry.
Had a great time. Thanks Tyler and the rest of the Uchi staff!
Juan the server is a God amongst men.
Wow! The best sushi we have had so far... the presentation and flavors were outstanding. The drinks were well crafted and the service was well paced. We will definitely be back!
Unbelievable! That’s all .
Everything was above and beyond my expectations. New favorite place in Denver.
Okay, almost everyone has heard about Uchi, from Austin, TX. It's very popular with very good sushi. My issue is that they are going "over the top" to provide good, fresh, but very fancy sushi. I think I would prefer excellent and fresh sushi, without all of the accouterments. Make your reservations well in advance. Very crowded.
Best restaurant in town! So happy they came to Denver. The food and service was exceptional! Definitely an unforgettable experience!
Everything about Uchi was outstanding! Arvind was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us have an amazing dining experience! Thank you! I will definitely be coming back 😊
Absolutely fantastic experience! Great service. Superb sushi. Beautiful ambiance. Happy Hour is the way to go.
It was our anniversary and they treated us like it was our wedding day. Thank you, Uchi.
I absolutely love this place. Possibly my favorite sushi place in Colorado, glad Uchi decided to open a location in Denver! Every special occasion I plan on going to Uchi, it never disappoints. I also love the service every time but Nuni (sp?) is my favorite server. Thanks for making dining here an experience every time.
Great experience, great service, great food! Really extensive menu, many dishes we didn't get to try. Everything was very unique with different flavors in every dish. Definitely worth a return visit.
I’ve eaten here twice this week and I’ve been utterly blown away both times. The service is on point and incredibly attentive. My sister and I were dining here and she dropped her chopsticks on the floor, and tried to pick it up subtly. I didn’t even realize she had done this until within 45 seconds a FOH employee came up with a new set. That’s the kind of stuff that really wows me, attention to detail like that is few and far between in this industry. Especially at a restaurant that was quite busy during our meal. The food is out of this world, this place really hits the nail on the head for complex simplicity. The interior is absolutely stunning, it’s calming and refreshing to sit down in. The value also adds an additional wow factor. 2 people can definitely be full and have desserts for under 100$. I’ll recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and miraculous experience and I will definitely be dining here again in the future.
Omakase can only be described as awesome. Definitely the go to place for Japanese in Denver
Great concept and execution! Was sat directly by the large room with a party going on so the noise level was WAY too loud but the incredible service and food made it still an incredible experience!
I am truly looking to go back and have a normal seating experience as I believe this is one of the very best restaurants in Denver currently.
Rockstar service, incredible food from Tyson, as expected. We’ve loved Uchi and Uchiko from Austin after dozens of visits so we set a high bar in our minds. They totally nailed it with some classics and some new offerings that were really a treat. I have to say, the best is when your server really likes a dish so she buys it for you because they love the food they serve THAT MUCH!
If the prices scare you, totally get your feet wet with happy hour; it’s the best deal in Denver for amazing food and drinks.
Better sushi places in Denver unless you are solely focused on the scene. Service was mediocre to poor and food took way too long. Don’t go there if you are hungry.
The service was attentive but our food took forever to come to us- we've never waited so long. And for the price, we were absolutely not impressed at all- even complained about an item and they removed it from our bill. This restaurant is not worth all the buzz and attention it is getting- definitely not a great meal.
I love this restaurant in Denver, the menu is always intriguing. They are served in tapas dishes, so sharing is a must. I always enjoy the good sakes warm or hot. My favorite dish are definetly the mushroom nigiri, the lamb... And all their menu. I suggest you try a little of everything and come back often. :) You also get excellent service. Special thanks and excellent service from our fave waitress Kelly for making us so welcomed everytime and also outstanding service from Val.
Exceptional food! The combinations in each dish were incredible. Great ambiance! Loved it!
The food and service were incredible. Our server Juan was amazing, we let him take control of what food and drink pairings to do and he did such a good job. He ordered food I would have never normally tried and I am happy I did. Everything was delicious and unique, especially the Froi Gras sashimi at the end of our meal which was the perfect final touch. This is my new favorite restaurant in Denver and I'll be back soon.
The service and food were outstanding. We gave the server our budget and let the chef decide what we ordered. Everything was incredible.
Amazing place, somewhat pricey but not outrageous. Would recommend
The food was amazing, our server was slightly overbearing... but that's better than inattentive in my opinion.
Great experience. Forget the price...This is an experience. Food is fantastic and service and quality are top notch. We will be back. Again and again.
2nd time back and the food was even better than I remembered! hands down the best sushi in denver... tops Sushi Den! Will be back again.
Top notch quality across the board! Larry and her team are beyond expectations, every single time, I take someone there they quickly become obsessed! It continues to be my favorite food spot in town!
I honestly have no words to fully describe my experience at Uchi. My Dad was in town visiting, and we were just in the mood for sushi. A friend suggested we try Uchi, and without even looking at the menu, we decided to check it out. Once we sat down and were handed warm towels, we knew this wasn’t going to be our usual sushi restaurant experience.
Tyler was our waiter and he was fantastic. Gave us space to look over things but knew the menu backwards and forwards to explain what we had questions on. He was tentative, friendly, and helpful. Tyler gave awesome suggestions and we enjoyed everything he pointed out for us to try. The way he spaced our food out was absolutely perfect. We had just enough time to savor what we were eating before the next plate came out.
Tyler wasn’t our only server, actually. It seemed that every plate delivered had a different server attached to it. Every person was just as kind and knowledgeable as Tyler, explaining in detail what they had just brought to us.
This is the part where I have no words. As a daughter of someone who lives and breathes to try the best food wherever he goes, I was absolutely blown away. I grew up eating all kinds of different cultured foods (thanks, Mom and Dad), and eating at plenty of fine-dining establishments, I’ve never experienced anything like this. Every plate was cooked to perfection, literally bursting with flavor, and completely melting in my mouth with every bite. My favorite was a roll that I would’ve never picked (thanks, Tyler), but I could’ve cried when I ate it! And don’t let me forget the desert. It was called Chocolate Popcorn, I believe, and it was a perfect way to end it all (in addition to French press coffee, which of course was ALSO delightful).
Overall, I may sound like I’m being a bit dramatic...but I’m not. As “foodies”, my Dad and I both decided this one is going to be hard, if not impossible, to beat. Well done, Uchi. My life has changed.
Excellent service and great ambiance. Great happy hour also. Comp valet parking makes it convenient when driving.
