I just went in 2025, and I'm sad to report that this place is not a good representation of Chicago eats. My party and I didn't enjoy anything we ordered. None of the five dishes stood out. The food was either cold, lacking flavor, unorthodox, bitter, or disagreeable. My birthday brunch was, unfortunately, a huge disappointment. 🙃🥲😭

Would have given 5 but with our party of 8, 1 meal came 15 minutes after all of the others. Inexcusable. We found the server was quite pushy in trying to get us to order a lot more food than we actually needed. Having said that, everything was delicious, and if you need to order more by all means do, but beware of oversell.

The service and patio was really nice. The food we found mediocre for the price point. The chicken dish was terrible, it was extremely dry the sauce didn’t taste good. The lamb barbacoa was served on the bone, it was a huge bone with little meat. The beans were bland. On a positive note, the non-alcoholic drinks were divine. I think this place is better to do as appetizers (maybe?), their mains were lack luster for the price point. Bit disappointed in the food. You can find great food at better prices nearby elsewhere.

The food was good, but it’s different from usual Mexican cuisine, the service was friendly, but it took a long time to get our requests of different things and we appreciate our server Enrique, who was very friendly but quite busy to meet our needs in a timely fashion the manager Hamid was very friendly. He provide us with complementary desserts.

So delicious. We enjoyed the tetela appetizer, short rib dinner, lamb barbacoa. The Tzuco margaritas were also delightful. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff made it special. Thank you!

Pretty restaurant, great staff! Food is good- but I expected more... for example.. one of the appetizers was just potatoes stacked on top of avocados... with a delicious sauce- but it was still underwhelming... the taco chicharrones was a cool concept, but just again... was underwhelming. Drinks were great though!
