   Food was great, the atmosphere was great! I would definitely return however, the only complaint was the wait time with drinks. They should never take as long as your entree to come to the table.

   I came to celebrate my husband, and they never responded to my messages where I asked for something special. That alone was disappointing, but then they gave my cake — with the candles I brought — to someone else. It was a very important occasion, and honestly, it was terrible. Not even the manager apologized. Yes, we were given a discount, but no one ever offered a proper apology. I’m from Mexico and currently live in Texas. I had planned this visit well in advance.

   I made a reservation for 8 several months in advance to celebrate my son’s 30th birthday. Someone else clearly got our table that night because they shoved us into an ugly back room with another large corporate group that had zero ambience. It was bulls**t. The server worked overtime to try and give us a great experience and my hat is off to him. The portions are generous and a few dishes had excellent flavor but no one was raving about the food either. They did “last call” for the bar at 9:45 on a Thursday night in Chicago. I spent over $1300 and I can’t tell you what a disappointment it was. Were it not for the attentive service from our waiter I would have walked out and taken my chances elsewhere. The hostess tried to tell me they put us in the “garage” so it would be quieter for us to talk. But I could hear her talking to her associate when they didn’t have our table at the reserved time and I know this was a last minute “fix” on their part. Many much better options in Chicago for that kind of spend.

   Drinks were amazing. Hard to see the menu it’s so dark in there and very loud it was hard to hear our waiter. Food menu was also confusing and a little too experimental

   The food was very good and so was the server, but our experience with one of your managers ruined our experience. We had a reservation at Tzuco at 5:30 PM. I arrived on time, ordered a drink and two appetizers. My aunt and cousin arrived around 5:45 and ordered drinks as well. We were waiting for my stepdaughter, who got delayed at work and arrived closer to 7 PM. The food was fantastic and our server was kind and professional throughout. He even told my stepdaughter to take her time when she arrived. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by a rude bald man who we assume was the front-of-house manager. He approached our table aggressively, demanding that we order food immediately and be out by 8 PM, even though we had already ordered appetizers and drinks and were planning to order entrées once our full party arrived. He then walked off abruptly. When my aunt calmly told him he was being rude, he dismissed her and proceeded to have a busser remove our appetizers, which we were still eating. He also glared at us every time he walked by. The restaurant was not completely full. We took a photo of the open tables to show there was no justification for the way the manager treated us. It’s really disappointing to be treated that way at an otherwise great restaurant. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

   We went to celebrate a birthday. Jose was our server and he was excellent, thorough, quick, attentive and kind. The food was amazing. Higher price point, but having been to similarly priced restaurants, this one was well worth it, and we will be coming back. Meats were excellent. Apps were also delicious with great variety.Highly recommend, and will pass the word on to others. Thank you for creating such a great restaurant.

    I had a fantastic experience at Tzuco. With a large group in tow, I made multiple reservations, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us seamlessly. Despite our size, the service remained attentive and patient throughout the afternoon. The food was excellent standouts included the guacamole, the duck waffle, and the quesabirria, all of which were crowd favorites. I highly recommend Tzuco for both its hospitality and its vibrant flavors.
