Tyber Creek Wine Bar & Kitchen
We sat outside came with and it was nice. The staff was immediate and helpful which was great because we were the only ones outside in the beginning. The Irish coffee for 2 came with a separate thermos so you could top it off and keep it warm..nice touch. We both had the Shashouka and it came out hot, fresh and very tasty with sliced crostini for dipping. It was well priced and I will be going back..
My girlfriend and I live close to this spot and we drive by it all the time. Last night we finally decided to stop in and try it out and we are so glad we did! Our experience was superb from start to finish. We were greeted by a super friendly hostess, and our server Rachel was awesome! Rachel was friendly, helpful and timely with every thing throughout the night. She perfectly paced out our dinner as we were sharing and doing both starters and entrees. Everything was delicious and we finished off with a baked apple dessert that was to die for. Safe to say we will definitely be back!
Overall the experience was great! Space was very loud and compact, which presents accessibility challenges. Other than that, the food and service was impeccable.
Great meal and service. Just wish the background music was lower to be able to enjoy the conversation.
I went here for my farewell dinner with my housemates. Tyber had 1/2 price for a bottle of wine at the time which was excellent and we had ordered one sweet white wine. I ordered a garlic chicken flatbread and it was good as they baked it Mediterranean style. A little bit plain as there was little spice and sauce but it made the wine more pronounced I believed.
Food was amazing and the atmosphere was really cool and fun. Chad was our waiter and he was amazing. Definitely will be back for bottomless brunch!
Hunter is one of the best servers in DC. We loved the layout of the wine list!
I enjoyed brunch at Tyber Creek. The servers were very attentive and the food and drinks came very quickly. The only small complaint is that one of the items ordered that was supposed to be hot came out cold. Otherwise, it was a great meal
Nothing incredibly bad to say about my experience. It's a cute neighborhood restaurants with friendly staff and ok food; However, upon arrival (party of 2) there were a couple tables open on the patio and it was a lovely day. I asked if we could sit on the patio and was told that there was nothing available outside. Bummer. I figured someone may have reserved a table on the patio specifically, though most restaurants don't have that feature. I didn't think anything of it until we were seated in the most uncomfortable table in the entire restaurant. I'm usually not that picky about it, but our table was very small and one chair was out in the walkway of the small restaurant and the other chair was squeezed into the table because the person sitting at the table behind it was taking up a lot of room. Meanwhile, from the window I could see a perfectly lovely table for 2 that was clean and prepped out on the patio not being utilized. It remained empty for 3/4 of the time we were there. About the time we were getting the check is when I saw 2 people arrive to sit at that outdoor table. I don't really know what made them so special. I was a bit miffed about the whole thing, but didn't feel like speaking to anyone about it. I'm moving out of the area soon, so this was my last time coming here. It is what it is.
Great food and ambiance but no need to deliver the main courses before we’ve finished our appetizers.
Literally the best cinnamon buns on earth
Great experience. Great Service. Great Food. Perfect for easy brunch.
Great menu. Food was fantastic and the service was friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better brunch/happy hour experience. Can’t wait to go back!
Versatile brunch menu to fit everybody’s needs! Yummy food! Fast service, but not rushed!
Excellent experience overall. Very generous with the mimosas and they never delayed in making sure out glasses were filled.
This is a great spot in Bloomingdale's little commercial district along 1st NW and Florida Ave. Hunter, the server was fantastic, accommodating me and my date with quick table change when pouring rain invaded our patio 2-top. I live nearby and rode by on my bike for a year before dining at Tyber Creek. Now I think I should go once every few months. They have an excellent wine and spirits menu, which changes seasonally. I was comfortable taking Hunter's recommendation for drinks with dinner.
Excellent food! Service was a little slow towards the end as we were only 1 of 2 tables left for the night.
super nice right on Rhode island ave,or next to it . food was delicious , fresh and really creative . salmon avocado Benedict delicious and services was outstanding!
Great interior and nice ambience. Starter was shared and was awesome - cheese bread dip. Mains were a choice of four. One vegetarian option - Tamales Pie. This was fine but not great. Would I go back? Yes.
Great. I liked it. Never been out to Bloomingdales but this is amazing
Attended for a sunday brunch
small very intimate place, not suited for big parties.
Food is good, Mimosa are nice.
would go back and try another night just to see what is different on the menu.
Our server (I think his name was Hunter?) made our night really special. Outstanding service all around. Wonderful ambiance and food. Peaceful patio.
We LOVE Tyber Creek!! This was our second time to come back after moving to the neighborhood and it is definitely one of our favorite places we’ve been in DC! Food is always so fresh, rotating menu, beautiful patio, friendly wait staff, and the wine selection is phenomenal. We’ll be back!
This place has an awesome outdoor patio that is perfect for nice weather! Also, the server let us extend our bottomless brunch a little longer than 2 hours because of a confusion, so we really appreciated that! 5/5 stars for sure!
Me and a companion had brunch there. The cinnamon buns were great! I enjoyed the Rose wine, however nothing else was good. The salmon Benedict was horrible. Eggs were over cooked and the salmon was very fishy. The server didn’t ask how the meal was nice, not even after taken away the plate that had a pile of salmon and eggs on it (not the bagel was eaten). The salad with chicken was fine, but nothing great.
Fantastic food and great wine list, friendly staff, great service and perfect for dining outside in the warm months. One of my favorite DC spots.
Food was delicious, service was outstanding but noise level was very bad. We really like the ambiance so we will return but will try to sit on the patio. We found ourselves almost yelling at times.
I chose Tyber Creek because of the very positive reviews and the appeal of a small, intimate setting and a very alluring menu. This was to have been a "reunion" dinner between me and two former workmates. So we were looking forward to sharing good food, good wine, and good conversation. That scenario was simply not to be on the night we went because there was a group event called WOMEN and WINE taking place that evening as well. Initially, the noise level was tenable, but as the group got to the 3rd and 4th rounds, the decibel levels were painful. However, our flatbread was delicious and unique, the wine (a Viognier) was wonderful and each of us loved our entrees. I had the pistachio-crusted scallops on a bed of puréed parsnips and a side of carrots. It was all fabulous. The food was memorable. The ambiance was wrecked by the unbearable noise level that the wine tasting generated. I just wish we'd known about the group...we would have picked another day.
The cinnamon buns are the best!!!
Excellent service, delicious food and everyone that works there is so incredibly helpful and pleasant!
Excellent service and food - as usual. Quick refills on the bottomless mimosas was the best part!
Really great local spot. Definitely some of the best brunch I've had in the city. Really great service and relaxed atmosphere. Cinnamon rolls were to die for
This is a neighborhood gem. Just right in terms of cozy ambiance, excellent service (our waiter was attentive, helpful and entertaining), quality of the food (everything we had was delicious and great value for the price) and drink (fabulous cocktails and wine list).
Cute, small neighborhood spot. The food and service were great. It's a small space, so it can get a little loud at times, but we will definitely be back!
We LOVED our time at Tiber Creek! Food was phenomenal, service was great and the restaurant's vibe was right up our ally. Will definitely be back.
To loud Nice food. Good neighborhood place
Adam was superb! He made suggestions which were well informed and was attentive but not hanging over us.
The food was excellent- wonderful tastes, unusual combinations and proper temperature
Food was good but very expensive for what you get.
