About TWO urban licks
TWO urban licks has been heating up the Atlanta restaurant scene with its “Fiery American Cooking” since opening in the fall of 2004, making it one of the city’s busiest restaurants on a nightly basis. The scene features “Fiery American Cooking” prepared in a magnificent nine-foot, wood pit rotisserie in the dining area and live blues nightly. TWO has garnered an abundance of local and national accolades including Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List”, Bon Appetit’s “Hot 50 Tables” and one of Rachael Ray’s “favorite restaurants” in the country as told to InStyle Magazine. Nominated year after year as Best Restaurant Scene and Best Place to Take an Out of Towner, it is no wonder that guests keep coming back for more.

TWO urban licks Ratings and Reviews
This is my second visit to Two Urban Licks. The food is fairly consistent and tasty, but not everything is delicious. The salmon chips are good but normally need more cream added (I asked for extra cream, removed the salmon from chip and mixed in more cream, reapplied to the chip and viola!). In addition, the bread is a great start but the spread (which tastes like a buttery, lemony hummus) needs help! Our caesar salad was overdressed, so the dressing on the side is a good idea. The gouda grits and mashed potatoes are a win!
During both visits, the servers were moderately kind and attentive but not overly. Hence, the service is very good but not outstanding.
Overall, I would recommend Two Urban licks as a very good choice for late evening dining (and I’ve heard the brunch is amazing) for what’s available in the area.
Visited Two Urban Licks with friends this past Saturday night. We had reservations and we were seated shortly after our arrival - maybe a five minute wait. Table service was prompt and attentive. The menu options are very good covering salads, to small plates, and main dishes. The scallop dish was excellent as were the other entrees at our table: tomahawk pork-chop, chicken, and brisket. Only drawback to the evening was that they were out of one wine we ordered by the glass but there was a reasonable substitute.
Brisket was DELICIOUS and for dessert we got mint chocolate chip ice cream, came with 3 scoops and 2 rice krispy squares...also DELICIOUS. Blackberry Frosé also DELICIOUS. Literally nothing disappointed. Our waiter was mediocre but I'll chock that up to it being 1.5 hours before closing. He comped our appetizer since we got it after our entree though so there's that.
Enjoyed the salmon chips, which are my favorite. The only issue we had with this visit is the server asked one of my companions "Do you know what a Frittata is?" although that's what she selected for her order. I don't believe she would have ordered it without knowing what it was. Why assume she didn't?
The restaurant is ultra trendy and super fun! Great atmosphere and a nice place to do dinner whether for a date or just with a group of friends. Any of their cocktails are good (up in smoke was the best). It’s located right on the belt line which is convenient for any after dinner activities.
Food is very okay. Place is really cramped. Your sitting probably about a foot away from other tables on all sides. I had heard a lot of really good things about this place but I've been there twice and I've been disappointed by the food. Not worth the price
This experience was a wonderful one. It made date night a blast. From the drinks to our server we had an experience that left a really good impression on me. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave very good recommendations. Everything flowed perfectly especially after it was the day after Valentine’s Day I bought it would chaotic. I was proven otherwise. I will definitely be back.
I was led to the attic. Cement walls and corporate table. Would not do. Kind server quickly remedied situation. Wrong food - swordfish - terrible accidental bite. Salmon chips - no taste. Kale salad - excellent. Brisket - pretty good. Tuna steak - average, stringy. Beer - good. Robot faces show work. Strange vibes. Live Music - excellent. A plastic cave, shadows of disappointment.
Food was good but ordered a Kale salad that was more cabbage and arugula than kale. Also ordered scallops that were good but under seasoned and the sauce on the grits was too abundant.
Service forgot my second drink and waitress disappeared. The server ended up waiting on us and forgot the drink.
The ambiance is very cool and nice. The music was perfect and just right volume. We sat at the chefs table and enjoyed watching the cooks operate.
Valet was not very well run on that night. Lost my ticket and ended up in line for 25 minutes.
Amazing. The food was excellent and large portions. My husband had the steak and I had the brisket..omgggg..definitely recommend. We were in town for the weekend. I suggest reservations because it was crowded and we had to wait 15 mins past our reservation time but it was worth it.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The food and drinks were amazing and there's a lot of it! The staff were super busy so it took a while to get our drinks when we placed orders, otherwise no complaints with the service. The biggest headache was dealing with the valet only parking, again they were super busy and coupled with people not being courteous to them or other drivers caused congestion in the parking lot. They even had a policeman trying to direct traffic. Parking is always an issue in that area of town though, so just be prepared for it. Definitely a great place for a date! Looking forward to going back when the weather warms up for some patio dining.
