Enjoy the quasi-industrial, vibrant atmosphere; better than average bar food.
The bartender was awesome and the ambiance is amazing.
Great place to eat and drink, but it was very very hot sitting at the table.
I really enjoyed the food and drinks. Our server's assigned area was too large for him to provide great personalized service and he was often in a rush. The upstairs seating are was very HOT at times it felt like a sauna; we had to ask for ice to cool off. All in all it is still one of my favorite restaurants, it was just an off night.
Austin was great at the bar. The salmon chips were delicious. We choose scallops with grits and a burger with onion rings for our entrees. Our food was scrumptious! Unfortunately, we were seated by the window which was very hot and the sun was shining in my face throughout our entire dinner.
Server was nice, but very very slow. Seemed he was gone 10 minutes between visits. Ordered a beer and our entrees at the same time and the food showed up 5 minutes before the beer. Brisket was just ok, fish was good. Hush puppies and Mac n cheese was the best thing we ate.
This time the food wasn't good, steak was tuff, and my husband brisket was very small. He was given the end piece twice and the meat was tuff. We have been here many times and this time was unacceptable. 😬
The only reason I would recommend the restaurant is because of the food and atmosphere. The services needs improvement. I understand you need to 'turn-over' the tables and get your guests out the food, but we were definitely rushed. So rushed to the point where we didn't even want to order dessert.
We are still hearing from our dinner party guests about how they loved the food and overall experience.
Great fried chicken
I usually love going to Two Urban Licks but was very disappointed this time around with respect to service. I had requested outdoor seating and noted we were celebrating three birthdays. We reserved a table at opening time to ensure the outdoor seating. However, we were seated indoors initially. The hostess left abruptly before we could mention our seating preference. My husband went to let them know and we were placed outside. Instead of placing us at the nice, comfy chairs set up for a party of 4, they pushed two tables together meant for two persons. We then had to request the nicer seating (at which no one else was seated since they had just opened). Again, we were left standing for several minutes as the waitress checked if it was ok. We were finally seated only to realize the table had ants all around the base. Again, we were standing waiting for our waitress to come back. Other servers saw us and did not ask us if they could help. When told about the ant issue they did not apologize or offer to clear it. Nor did they offer to move us to another 4 person table. The waitress did not acknowledge our concerns and acted as if we were an annoyance. My elderly in-laws were in town for this meal. I had raved about this place and they were treated poorly. The outdoor seating was a specific request because they have cold intolerance and need to be in the warm air. Additionally, the staff did nothing for our birthday celebration. I won't be going back anytime soon and definitely will never bring out of town guests again.
Great place if looking for a fun spot with good food, good drinks, and a good vibe. The patio is great for people watching on the beltline on a pretty afternoon/evening/sunset. We have never had a bad experience.
Great spot and affordable night out
A fantastic restaurant on the Beltline. Great food and drinks. I love the Salmon Chips and Calamari. Never disappointed.
Eclectic menu, something for everyone. Good drink menu. Excellent appetizers. The brisket was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m from Texas!
good cocktails and great location on the beltline. good portions. some of the appetizers could be improved.
I was very disappointed in my most recent visit to the restaurant. The food is usually on point but was far from good on Sunday.
I had the scallops and they were incredible. The server was great. The only thing that was bad was that we were there on a day where it was 90 degrees outside and we sat next to a window. I was literally sweating. They need to figure out the AC in there. Otherwise, amazing food and great overall experience!
Delicious as always! We often celebrate special occasions at Two Urban Licks for the food and atmosphere.
Good food and services as usual. This is my to go spot for family and friends gatherings.
Mother’s Day Brunch
Loved it! Enjoyed a Happy Mother’s Day and will be back!
Mother's Day brunch was excellent! The food was yummy and reasonably priced. Plus, they had a free photo booth outside!
Very hot. Crammed seating. Food is amazing, and it comes out unbelievably fast.
Amazing service! We loved our waitress, she was helpful with selections and was very attentive. We would be happy to have her again (believe her name was Sarah).
It was my birthday and I specifically chose this restaurant because I had been there once before and enjoyed the food and the overall ambience. I dont remember the time of year I visited last time but this time there was apparently prom patrons and a graduation so it was very crowded which made the experience less enjoyable. There were 2 of us so we were seated at a very small table squished between 2 other couples near a window with only sheer curtains with the sun shining directly in my face for most of the dinner...our waiter was nice but we didn't see him a lot. Thank goodness the food was good which saved the overall experience for me..
My dad was in town from New Hampshire, and I told him we had to go to Two Urban Licks for the brisket. Our server, Curt, was amazing! Making reservations was hassle free through the online portal. Of course, the brisket was exceptional! Hats off to the entire staff!
Sat us right next to the garage windows where the sun was beating down. Had to wear sunglasses inside and was profusely sweating. Not very sexy
Excellent food and the salmon chips are delicious!
As usual, we had a good time during our couples dinner. Everything was good, however it was a little warmer than usual. Other than that, it was good
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant, and the food is always great. I usually go for brunch and have never been disappointed.
Only sides available for vegetarians. Waiter suggested a white bean side. It had sausage in it. Not really an option!
Very good food and service
The restaurant was so smokey that we requested to eat outside. We got the stone 2 person table which looked cute but was difficult to sit at and eat. The Signature drink that I ordered was spicy and I had to return it for a glass of wine. Might be my fault for ordering it because I am not familiar with the different types of alcohol . The starters we just OK. The entree chicken was burnt and dry. Also the cherry desert was dry. Overall - I ate the meal but did not enjoy it. This was about my 4th time eating there. The 4 times were to take friends who had heard about the restaurant but not been there. Needless to say I will not be going back. Just not my type of enjoyable food and smokey atmosphere.
A friend Birthday
I went here for my graduation dinner, and had the NY Strip, which was outstanding. My party had also ordered the brisket, chicken and pork chops, which also very good. Timely service and very professional and informed staff.
Deafeningly noise. Prepare to shout. Attractive design and décor. Expensive average wine served warm...ugh! Waitress somewhat nonchalant. Main dishes we had were more like appetizers. Disappointed.
Service was poor. Very slow to take our order and bring drinks. Server appeared annoyed with our requests, which, were not more than any usual dining guest and very minimal. Really brought down the overall experience and disappointing for a celebratory graduation dinner.
