The food was great and the staff was amazing. I would definitely go back.
Two Urban Licks continues to be one of my favorite places for a date night or outing with a small group of friends. I highly recommend making reservations instead of walk ins for this restaurant, or either you'll find yourself waiting for at least an hour. Each car is validated so there's no need to worry about finding your own park. The ambiance is so nice here, contemporary feel, dimly lit with nice music. We've sat in a different area each time from the bar area to the chef's table to the regular seating areas, and it's been great every time. The staff members are friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The last time we went I ordered the scallops on a bed of grits, and my husband ordered the NY strip...sooo delicious! One of the best weekend hangouts for sure!
Good meal. Not sure it was worth the final $ amount.
I went for the live music but I was seated at the far end of the restaurant, therefore, i couldn't see or hear the band. Maybe the next time I will try to request a table near the stage. The food was good and the serving size is plentiful.
Have been here before several times. This time is was just kinda off. Maybe it was being set up stairs tucked away from the world feeling. I picked this place because the activity of the restaurant. The upstairs is tucked away brightly lit and really doesn’t feel like the same place even. Maybe it’s the look of the chairs and table that reminds me of a old western sizzler style restraint. The salmon chips were amazing as usual but the main course ... eh.. lacked taste.
Great atmosphere and great decor. Most of the food was exceptional. The burger was way overcooked but was still very very good. Based on everything always being exceptional here I suspect it was just a one off mistake. Will absolutely be back.
Great experience booked a reservation for next weeks meeting.
The food is always on point. Didn't like the sweet sauce that was on the calamari. Couldn't eat it. Still one of my favorite restaurant. The chicken, mac&cheese and steak was delicious.
Very good but a little loud
Have been going to Two Urban Licks for years whenever business brings me to Atlanta. Even after all these years it continues to deliver great food, good drinks, and a fun atmosphere.
Really good!! From out of town and everything hit the spot! Colt our server was awesome!
It used to be one of my favorite place to bring special guests from other countries but not anymore. Dish presentation was average, ok food, and service below average even when the place on Sunday evening was half full.
I won’t come back to this restaurant anymore. And EJ t recommend it to my friends either.
It was great really enjoyed it
The food was terrible. We ordered the patty melt and the chicken and waffle and both dishes tasted like mush. I would never eat here again.
Awesome. Great experience.
Food and service was great. Parking was terrible. Mandatory valet which took an hour to get up to front to park.
Very disappointing experience this time. Valet was utter chaos-took 30 mins and 15 cars to get up the ramp! What a waste of time, super unorganized. Drinks are small and outrageously expensive $13-$17 for a simple 2 ingredient drink, food wasn’t all that great except for calamari and service pretty slow, inattentive. Menu hasn’t changed since my last visit a year ago. Whatever the bar served me and my gf in the 2 drinks we had, got us terribly sick. I don’t have proof we were poisoned but something went definitely wrong, it has never happened before. This place will never see my business again.
The restaurant itself was fine. The valet parking, on the other hand? We waited 1 hour and 20 for my car. That's ridiculous on so many levels...
My waitress and food was excellent. However, having to wait to be seated after having an reservation was very disappointing (no where to sit while waiting, servers passing by with customers food, huge turn off). Additionally, it took an hour for me to get my car from valet, horrible. While waiting, workers passing emptying the garbage. Although the food and server were excellent, I won't be returning to this establishment.
The food and views from the patio were spectacular! Tried the Pork Tomahawk and Grilled oysters, which were tasty. The restaurant has a very chique scene with vibrant music and decor. The valet parking was a great compliment as well. I would recommend Two Urban Licks if you are searching for something extraordinary to dine.
A wonderful first experience. Food was delicious and service was great.
Second time to two urban licks and it was great! We had a larger group and service was excellent! Food is so fresh here, perfect mimosa’s. Wonderful brunch spot for two or for groups.
The waiter seemed agitated and overwhelmed. He was not attentive to our dirty table from the start, didn’t answer our questions due to being too busy rushing, and overall very stand-off attitude. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at this restaurant. I also bring many people here for their first time because i enjoy it so much. This experience put a bad taste in my mouth.
The pimento cheese hush puppies are to die for. The mussels were probably the best I’ve had, and the branzino exceptionally well prepared. I wish the server had been more attentive.
Everything was super amazing and it is definitely worth the drive! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!
The overall experience was great. Though there on a Wednesday, the restaurant was about 60% full in the main dining area, with a two-person live band which made for a nice, relaxed feel. The decor is trendy, but not over-the-top that you feel the need to be over-dressed. I would probably put it somewhere between Sunday brunch and business casual. But, cocktail attire is is completely fitting, as well. Do to the awesome open grill/rotisserie area in the middle of the restaurant, it can become a bit warm, but not uncomfortable. Dress in layers.
We were seated near the patio where the doors were open creating an amazing scenic view of downtown. It connects right to the Belt-line, so if you feel like going for a walk afterwards, all you need to do is walk out the back patio. The place is a tad dark, but it is fitting in order to capture the ambiance. But, no so much that you are unable to see your menu or the person sitting across from you.
Our waiter was courteous, polite and informative, but seemed a bit frazzled and possibly over-whelmed. The time between cocktail, appetizer and meal orderings was a little long, but not so much where it made me feel my experience was affected negatively. It is not the most vegetarian friendly, but there are a few options (~2 to 3), and the overall menu is a bit pricy, but your portions and taste make up for it. I would put it at the medium/high side of $.
All-in-all, this is a great place to go for a special occasion, cocktails or casual meal. You will not be disappointed by the food, nor the environment. I highly recommend it!
P.S. The valet works with Square if you do not carry cash for tips! It is a free service because there is no self-parking. If you are completely against valet, I would suggest Ubering/Lyfting.
I always have an amazing time. I love the atmosphere here and the food is amazing
Brisket was over cooked and chicken had no season . When food arrived it was warm but not hot
Amazing as always!!
This is my second visit to Two Urban Licks. The food is fairly consistent and tasty, but not everything is delicious. The salmon chips are good but normally need more cream added (I asked for extra cream, removed the salmon from chip and mixed in more cream, reapplied to the chip and viola!). In addition, the bread is a great start but the spread (which tastes like a buttery, lemony hummus) needs help! Our caesar salad was overdressed, so the dressing on the side is a good idea. The gouda grits and mashed potatoes are a win!
During both visits, the servers were moderately kind and attentive but not overly. Hence, the service is very good but not outstanding.
Overall, I would recommend Two Urban licks as a very good choice for late evening dining (and I’ve heard the brunch is amazing) for what’s available in the area.
Crab cake was amazing and our server Cameron was awesome!
I feel like the portion sizes at Two have gotten significantly smaller in the last few years. Perhaps in an attempt to seem more high class? But considering how much one pays for each menu item, the portions should be at least 25-50% larger.
Visited Two Urban Licks with friends this past Saturday night. We had reservations and we were seated shortly after our arrival - maybe a five minute wait. Table service was prompt and attentive. The menu options are very good covering salads, to small plates, and main dishes. The scallop dish was excellent as were the other entrees at our table: tomahawk pork-chop, chicken, and brisket. Only drawback to the evening was that they were out of one wine we ordered by the glass but there was a reasonable substitute.
Brisket was DELICIOUS and for dessert we got mint chocolate chip ice cream, came with 3 scoops and 2 rice krispy squares...also DELICIOUS. Blackberry Frosé also DELICIOUS. Literally nothing disappointed. Our waiter was mediocre but I'll chock that up to it being 1.5 hours before closing. He comped our appetizer since we got it after our entree though so there's that.
Enjoy this restaurant every Tim I am in Atlanta!
The food and service was great as usual. Cameron was great.
Always a nice vibe and now you can watch as folks walk by on the belt line- the location is a sweet spot on that belt line
Enjoyed the salmon chips, which are my favorite. The only issue we had with this visit is the server asked one of my companions "Do you know what a Frittata is?" although that's what she selected for her order. I don't believe she would have ordered it without knowing what it was. Why assume she didn't?
Life changing brisket. Really like this place as a well done date. Great food.
