About TWO urban licks
TWO urban licks has been heating up the Atlanta restaurant scene with its “Fiery American Cooking” since opening in the fall of 2004, making it one of the city’s busiest restaurants on a nightly basis. The scene features “Fiery American Cooking” prepared in a magnificent nine-foot, wood pit rotisserie in the dining area and live blues nightly. TWO has garnered an abundance of local and national accolades including Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List”, Bon Appetit’s “Hot 50 Tables” and one of Rachael Ray’s “favorite restaurants” in the country as told to InStyle Magazine. TWO urban licks Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant is ultra trendy and super fun! Great atmosphere and a nice place to do dinner whether for a date or just with a group of friends. Any of their cocktails are good (up in smoke was the best). It’s located right on the belt line which is convenient for any after dinner activities.
Food is very okay. Place is really cramped. Your sitting probably about a foot away from other tables on all sides. I had heard a lot of really good things about this place but I've been there twice and I've been disappointed by the food. Not worth the price
This experience was a wonderful one. It made date night a blast. From the drinks to our server we had an experience that left a really good impression on me. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave very good recommendations. Everything flowed perfectly especially after it was the day after Valentine’s Day I bought it would chaotic. I was proven otherwise. I will definitely be back.
I was led to the attic. Cement walls and corporate table. Would not do. Kind server quickly remedied situation. Wrong food - swordfish - terrible accidental bite. Salmon chips - no taste. Kale salad - excellent. Brisket - pretty good. Tuna steak - average, stringy. Beer - good. Robot faces show work. Strange vibes. Live Music - excellent. A plastic cave, shadows of disappointment.
Food was good but ordered a Kale salad that was more cabbage and arugula than kale. Also ordered scallops that were good but under seasoned and the sauce on the grits was too abundant.
Service forgot my second drink and waitress disappeared. The server ended up waiting on us and forgot the drink.
The ambiance is very cool and nice. The music was perfect and just right volume. We sat at the chefs table and enjoyed watching the cooks operate.
Valet was not very well run on that night. Lost my ticket and ended up in line for 25 minutes.
Amazing. The food was excellent and large portions. My husband had the steak and I had the brisket..omgggg..definitely recommend. We were in town for the weekend. I suggest reservations because it was crowded and we had to wait 15 mins past our reservation time but it was worth it.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The food and drinks were amazing and there's a lot of it! The staff were super busy so it took a while to get our drinks when we placed orders, otherwise no complaints with the service. The biggest headache was dealing with the valet only parking, again they were super busy and coupled with people not being courteous to them or other drivers caused congestion in the parking lot. They even had a policeman trying to direct traffic. Parking is always an issue in that area of town though, so just be prepared for it. Definitely a great place for a date! Looking forward to going back when the weather warms up for some patio dining.
My first time to TUL was a few years ago when we were celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. We had a large group (about 8 of us), but the restaurant was super accommodating. We were one of the first to arrive, so the restaurant was still pretty quiet and the servers attentive. Food was great. Ambiance was fun. Overall experience was wonderful.
Tonight, it was just my husband and me celebrating an early Valentine’s Day date. The best part of the evening was the pork belly appetizer. You must try this amazingly delightful dish. It was so incredibly appetizing and satisfying. For my entree, I ordered the scallops and grits. I’m sure I ordered this last time as well, but the grits tasted undercooked this time around. My husband ordered the steak and enjoyed it. In terms of service, we had a 6:30pm reservation on a Saturday night, so service was subpar. Word to the wise: don’t book a reservation on a Saturday night. It took 20 minutes for our server to come get our order. And what’s up with not providing forks?! We got knives but no forks, so we had to flag down another server for forks (ours was running around doing God knows what). Anyway. Busy night. Try to shoot for a different day to experience it all—good food, good service, and good ambiance. Tonight just didn’t cut it, but at the very least, the pork belly was divine. We’ll come back, and when we do, we may just order the pork belly as an entree! That is...if it sticks around. They do change their menu often!
My boyfriend and I went out for a early Valentine's dinner date. The food was great and it came out really fast. We were seated next to a window at a booth as I requested on open table. The only thing was my server wasn't really on top of it, but I could tell it was because he was probably spreaded to thin with all the tables he had. But overall I enjoyed my experience!
My husband and I have been here many times over the years, and consider this one of our favorite restaurants. This is the 1st time I have done a review. The food and drinks was delicious as usual, but this time our table service was not what it has been in the past. We had 2 servers, 1 male (he was very good), and a female. The female seemed to have an attitude. I hesitated when she came to take our order, and it seemed to irritate her, but just to say this in her defense, I think she was overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was trying to serve at the time. She was very unpleasant to say the least. The gentleman made up for it. But, needlessly to say this is still one of our favorite places to eat.
Cool place, subpar food all around. The menu sounds a lot better then it really is. I wouldn’t recommended it for a nice date, not worth the price. Service was not bad, the ambiance was nice, dark and romantic, but the food was a huge let down, very poor use of flavors.
We had such a great experience with two urban licks! I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and it was the total package for a special occasion date restaurant. The ambiance was great, the food was even better, and our server Natalie was super attentive. Would definitely recommend!
Went before a show at the fox. Seated on time, good service. Decent drink menu options. Food was good, but not at the price point. Brisket had good flavor but was served like a steak. Should have been sliced thinner or chopped. Large booth fit 8 okay, but wasn't the most comfortable. Would ask for a table if we return with that large a group.
What a cool, unique vibe this restaurant has! I was entertaining clients for dinner and although the restaurant was very loud, my party had a great time and loved everything about Two Urban Licks. I will definitely come here again. The menu is eclectic with a southern twist. Nothing disappointed. Everyone was thrilled with their meal, and the appetizers were fantastic and a bit unusual. LOVED the live music. Fun, energetic place.
