About TWO urban licks
TWO urban licks has been heating up the Atlanta restaurant scene with its “Fiery American Cooking” since opening in the fall of 2004, making it one of the city’s busiest restaurants on a nightly basis. The scene features “Fiery American Cooking” prepared in a magnificent nine-foot, wood pit rotisserie in the dining area and live blues nightly. TWO has garnered an abundance of local and national accolades including Conde Nast Traveler’s “Hot List”, Bon Appetit’s “Hot 50 Tables” and one of Rachael Ray’s “favorite restaurants” in the country as told to InStyle Magazine. Nominated year after year as Best Restaurant Scene and Best Place to Take an Out of Towner, it is no wonder that guests keep coming back for more.

TWO urban licks Ratings and Reviews
Phenomenal. Friendly, attentive staff. We were seated immediately with our opentable reservation. I highly recommend the salmon chips starter and the melt in your mouth bone-in pork shank with root vegetables. Dinner companions said brisket was top notch. Huge portions. You will not leave Two Urban Licks hungry.
Delicious brunch menu! The kitchen brought out extra ice cream we didn't order and let us keep it! Better than dinner I would say. Servers were very attentive. It was a bit cold inside. And paying with gift cards took a long time. Otherwise, great atmosphere, service, and food!
The food was great! I thought the cocktails were pretty watery and not worth the money. Next time I would probably just get a beer, but the food is really good and the atmosphere is fun. It is very loud so I would not recommend it for a romantic or business dinner.
Have been going to Two Urban Licks for years every time I traveled to Atlanta. I so looked forward to my dinner talking it up prior & bringing colleagues along - some of which who also were TUL fans. Overall, my party was very disappointed with our dinner. The appetizers were good - not exceptional. The main courses & deserts were a turn- off. Unfortunately, now when I travel to ATL, I'll need to find a new go-to restaurant.
I’ve eaten here a few times and generally it is pretty good. But it’s been inconsistent with service, food, and drinks. This last visit was a bit embarrassing with work associates visiting town. Server was less attentive to our table with our order taken slowly, drinks empty, and food arriving separately.
Had a great evening at TWO urban licks. A group of 8 went to the restaurant and shared a bunch of smaller plates. We had vegetarians in the group and they enjoyed the options (especially the charred artichoke). Our waitress was extremely kind and even got us separate checks for food and alcohol for all of us! Great find. The one thing is that it was not easily accessible via public transit, and it was a little challenging to choose a pickup point when using uber/lyft.
We were seated right away due to us having reservations. The service was good. The menu changes often, so what you see may not be what is available when you arrive. The food was is nice size portions, but it’s not really flavorful. It’s more on the bland side. It’s not a bad thing, I just prefer a little more seasoned food.
This is an enjoyable restaurant to get delicious food, and typically the service is great as well. This visit was unusual for us, and we had some service glitches, but when issues were brought to the servers' attention they were fixed relatively quickly. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice evening date.
I usually come here for my birthday dinner and ive only ever had superb experiences before but last night the food wasnt on point (had to send the chicken back twice because it was too pink inside) and the food tasted so mediocre/bland this time. Our waiter was inattentive... I was honestly disappointed and wont go back.
The seating was not ideal. The table was very small and there was no where to place our purses. Our backs were right up against the next table's guests and we just didn't have enough space. The appetizer came out fast, but the server spilled it on the table and didn't offer to wipe the table. We had to ask for our table to be cleaned after she cleaned it up with her hands. The server poured our water in our glass and spilled water all over the table. The seafood was a bit overcooked and bland. The brisket, however, was very tender and seasoned. Overall, it was just ok for our occasion. And I had a great experience and service back in the summer for another celebration.
Everything was great except the bartender when we arrived. She seemed annoyed when questioned about flavors in the drink and she practically chased us down to pay the tab when we just walked away briefly to show our friends how cool the place was because they had never been. She was not a good first impression. Everything else was outstanding and our guests loved it.
one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Great food and great service. Usually we come there for late dinners. this time we tried brunch. great variety of brunch dishes and also there are some dinner appetizers.
one of our favorite is salmon chips. also had fish and grits, two burgers and pancakes - all dishes were very good.
Have been here many times before. This time we felt extremely rushed. It was clear they were anxious to flip the table from the moment we sat down. Dinner came out when appetizers weren’t even half done. Some dinner came out 10 min before others. Felt like we were being watched and as soon as the fork was set down they were asking if we wanted dessert .. dessert was brought out within 5 min. REALLY annoying for this kind of restaurant. When you spend $300 for dinner you don’t want to feel rushed to crank through it.
The food was very good, but not excellent. I went for Saturday brunch and it was pretty empty (11am). Since many places in the area are long waits, I would recommend TWO Urban Licks for weekend brunch because there did not seem to be any wait, the food was good, and the atmosphere was nice. The apple donut was particularly delicious.
My lunch selection was the Beef brisket with eggs and hash. Plate presentation was spot-on however the brisket must have been a tail section, of the 3” thick slice approx 8” long, the two long sides were dryed-out char. I should have sent it back. My companion had the same and her’s was a well marbalized perfectly cooked/smoked slice without any hard char. I did consume the 1” thick interior section of my brisket/plate. Just my two cents.
