TWO urban licks

The food is not as good as it was 2 years ago. I still enjoyed most of their food, but the portions were pretty small and the food wasn't really worth the extra $$$. My girlfriend advised that we should have gone to another restaurant, but I wanted to see if their food was still good sine it was awesome before.
Our waiter was extremely slow. We barely saw him 2-3 times and he didn’t put in an order so we were waiting awhile for our food
the food was sub par. we waited 15 minutes to get salt and pepper. the server forgot a beverage order and even after he was reminded, it took way too long. overall it seems like an outdated restaurant, both in decor, delivery and food.
Very good, a little pricey but service and food was good.
Only complaint was how the food came out- our sides were out a 15 minutes before the rest of our food
Incredible food and atmosphere. Will definitely return.
I was really looking forward to my visit to Two Urban Licks, but the night started wrong when they sat us away from the entertainment. All I could hear was noise. Moreover, the waiter spilled sauce from someone else’s plate onto my wife’s arm and dress. The manager offered to pay for her food but it just ruined her bday ☹️
Seating was ridiculous as you could almost touch elbows with your neighbor. Servers could not even walk by without hitting our crossed legs or knocking my daughter’s purse off of her chair. Our server was inattentive, and the food was marginal. Very disappointed in our dining experience.
Although, we had a reservation we waiting 30 minutes to be seated. It took almost 10 minutes to be greeted by a server. Every interaction after that took 15 minutes such as getting the bill and paying it. They ran out of house made bread and substituted it with bread that tasted as if it were frozen at one point. In a space that large it is important to be adequately staffed, especially on the weekends. I enjoyed my food, however all of the other service fails made it impossible to enjoy my food.
This is hands-down one of the Best Spots in Atlanta. I took a 1st timer- who now wants to go every night. Put this spot on your to do list. Salmon chips/ Calamari, any entree, infusions cocktail, repeat.☺
Food was good, however waiter was so eager to take away our plates; got rid of our food and drinks before we finished them and didn't even ask
Our server was extremely slow and not quite attentive. One entree was burned and a drink was sent back 3 times and ultimately ordered something else. The build up of expectations prior to arriving at this venue was definitely not met by any stretch of the means.
We have not been to Two Urban Licks in a few years but this was a terrific outing. I had the skirt steak and my wife had a fish dish. Both excellent. The Salmon chips were spectacular as well. Our server, Earth, was very attentive, professional, and charming. She did the restaurant proud. We will definitely come back again and not wait as long to do so.
Tommy and john(Johnny) were an excellent team! Nice job boys!
Atmosphere was very smoky.
I had the tuna + bok choy which looked uninspired when served. Not very colorful at all - vegetables were dull and wilted looking, vs. bright and freshly steamed. There was a lot of broth, which I did not enjoy. Felt more like it would have been better as a stir fry vs. a Tuna filet on top of wilted vegetable soup.
On the bright side, the Salmon Chips, and the new Lamb appetizer were outstanding.
TWO Urban Licks is usually a great place with a great atmosphere. Perhaps it was the hot humid weather, but the smoky environment coupled with the less than exciting Tuna was a disappointment this time.
Great service ! Excellent meal ! It was a little loud but we knew that going in ... just part of the vibe.
Two Urban Licks is consistently one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. I HIGHLY recommend sitting at the Chef’s Bar.
Food was great. Only issue was valet parking. Valet team was overwhelmed and it took forever to get my car. I finally just took the key from the valet and found my car in the lot. There were many others waiting as well on a Tuesday night. I’d hate to see a Friday or Saturday.
Service was slow. Never got the yummy bread that comes with each meal. Appetizer was good. "Hush Puppies" which are made with pimento cheese with a VERY hot sauce. Waiter was pushy to order higher priced entree(pork chops) saying that "it was the best item on the menu" which I did try. I should have sent it back!!! I felt like I was craving a turkey with a dull knife!! Tough! The pork chop had NO flavor. It was accompanied with a ton of roasted pepper and only two tiny little pieces of cornbread. I had to look for those as they were under ALL THE PEPPERS. I SHOULD HAVE SENT IT BACK; I'm not sure why I didn't. The saving grace for Two Urban Licks is the ambience and the outdoor seating.
Appetizers were great - entree was just ok - scallops and Gouda grits. Side of white Cheddar MAC and cheese was very good. One of our out of Town Guest was Vegan. Main server was extremely helpful explaining what could be ordered with the limited options. However the back up server was at a lost when we actually ordered.
From the time we pulled into the parking lot, the valet guy was rude and unfriendly. Then for $6.00 my three pieces of shribbled up burned bacon had to returned along with the under cooked brunch potatoes. Additionally, my friend ordered her eggs well-done and they came with runny yoke. I was really excited to have Brunch here and brought two of my friends since I have had a pleasant dinner experience at your restaurant in the past. We just got full off of the Salmon chips, because that seemed to be the best Brunch item on the menu. Not a happy customer at all and expected a better dining experience with delicious quality food.
The atmosphere was great which is why I wanted to return for a friend’s birthday. Service was fine, a bit slow and that’s ok because they were very busy.
The food was subpar and disappointing, a couple people in our party didn’t even order because they was unimpressed with the menu. The calamari was rubbery and chewy, oysters were small and overpriced, salmon chips were good, the roasted chicken looks great but did not have any seasoning, big opportunity missed with this. The red fish was ok, but the dirty rice was dry and not flavorful. I was very disappointed as I suggested the place. I hope they can improve, but I won’t be going back.
Waiter was slow and not very friendly. band was extremely LOUD. Mixed drinks were good. Over priced.
It was my birthday and my food was very disappointing.
Still going strong after all these years. I have only one complaint; the premixed drinks which hang over the bar are weak. Better off getting your spirit poured from the bottle.
Overall things were ok. Nothing extremely impressive about this visit. I pretty much always other the same foods. Salmon chips were amazing. My drink was not well made/balanced this time. The brisket hash was bland this visit as well.
The atmosphere is great. It is a good elegant spot for whatever your night out represents. 1st Date, Elegant Birthday Dinner, Anniversary Dinner, etc. . Good menu and the food is OK. The drink are well made. Overall a good spot.
Food was delicious and our server was really kind and charismatic—however, the front of the house could use some work. For a reservation of 2, we still had to wait thirty minutes on the vague promise of a text to a confirmed mobile number, which was never received; we got our table after following up, waiting in line again behind a walk-up couple who easily landed a table. The front staff didn’t quite seem to understand the system they were tasked to use, and the valet on the exit was really overtaxed.
Perhaps it’s the sign of a genuinely good restaurant having growing pains, but it’s a lot of work in the process to enjoy such a good meal.
Food was great, service was amazing. The vibe was great. The only bad thing was the valet service line that was very unorganized when trying to get to the restaurant.
Food was great. We were seated right away with a reservation but waited for more than 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. The waitress waited on the tables to either side of us but ignored us for a long time.
Anniversary dinner, all very good, just loud and tables close together
Wonderful food and service!
It was loud and lively... but fun!
Parking is hard....but the valet folks were SO GREAR! And valet is tip only! Worth it!
The cocktails were also excellent!
Awesome service and food, wine prices were unbelievably high for marginal options. Overall an excellent spot and I would certainly go again.
Excellent cocktails, excellent food. Salmon chips are a must. Didn’t love the sorbets but glad I tried them, very interesting. Love the natural light and ambiance at brunch.
I ordered the crab cake as an appetizer which was delicious. I was excited for my meal until it came. I ordered the half chicken and white cheddar macaroni and cheese. My chicken was extremely dry and the Mac n cheese was just ok. My friend who was with me ordered the filet Mignon and mashed potatoes. I tasted his food as he tasted mine. The steak lacked flavor and the mashed potatoes were definitely box with no flavor! The ambiance of the facility was nice and the speed of service was decent as well. I wouldn’t recommend the place. However, I wouldn’t bash the experience. It was just okay. Nothing special!
Love Two Urban Licks!! I have been coming here for over 10 years. I always request Dwayne and was disappointed bc we did not get to sit in his area. The new hostess’ seem kind of lost. The ONLY critique I have is I noticed that if you go later to an reservation the food seems rushed and not fresh. So go earlier lol.. that’s it!
Service was bad and slow
Outside seating had tons of flies and bugs bothering you and your food. Appetizers were good. Brisket which they claimed was a top choice lacked salt and flavor.
The food and drinks were great!
Amazing food. We had the steak and the brisket as well as a side of macaroni and the salmon chips to start... amazing food all around. Menu is laid out really nicely. Atmosphere is perfect for a date! Right on the belt line and next door to an awesome brewery.
