Poor service, average food. Too noisy. Expensive for what we got
They didn’t have champagne during brunch.... not a good first experience for my friend. I was embarrassed because I suggested this place
Thank you so much for being SO accommodating. . Our party of 12 dwindled to 5 right before we were to be seated for our reservation. We felt horrible. But your staff was so courteous. Thank you!
Never disappoints. Service was excellent. Salmon chips were amazing.
Had fo wait an additional 55 minutes for our reservation
We were seated an hour after our set reservation that was made 7 days in advance. Hostesses were overwhelmed and less than accommodating. Food was suburb and consistent with prior dining experiences. Server was delightful.
Gorgeous space with incredibly gracious and attentive waitstaff. Food was delicious and a solid value for the money. I will definitely go back again!
We loved it! Loved the e nervy, food and servers!
The food was really good, as always. But our waiter Sean, was not very attentive at all. We received all of our appetizers before we received our drinks. I asked for salt when we first sat down. It never came. Drinks were never refilled. He brought the check before we were finished eating. We wanted to order dessert so he had to redo the check. My mom ordered a salad that never came. It was still on the bill. We had to ask him to take it off. Our table was off balance so every time we would put our arms on the table, the table would move so bad that our drinks would spill over. He leaned down to fix it while we were eating dessert. Better late than never I guess. It was a busy night and we were seated at a very small table in the middle of the walkway. There was very little room for the servers to get to the table to our right. And they would fly by our table so fast that it reminded me of being on an airplane and having your foot or arm hit by the Flight attendant with the cart because the space was so tight. I love this restaurant, but would never sit at those tables again and definitely would not want to sit in Sean’s section again.
Very thing was outstanding and I would have given our experience 5 stars if the band would have taken at least one break so we could talk a little more at our table. The Brisket is Awesome!
Everything was 5 star except the bathrooms. They are dirty dark and the water doesn’t even work to wash your hands. We have been coming here for 12 years. The bathrooms need updated and cleaned, also add some light.
Was a perfect double date - sat outside and service was great, timely, and professional
We had a reservation and were sat immediately. We were given water and told our server would be over shortly. After waiting about 20 mins we asked a waiter who our server was and there was a mix up on table assignments (I guess). He ended up helping us and our food was amazing!
Since moving to Atlanta this has been my favorite restaurant. I live in the neighborhood and walked over for an early dinner reservation at 5:30p. Got there about 15 mins, was advised by receptionist they were not seating until 5:30. I sat on the patio. The supervisor soon appeared and instructed us (and another group of people) to get up from tables outside and sit at the service tables in the corner by trash cans. When it was time for our reservation she sat us at one of the least desirable tables. The whole vibe was off. I noticed the other group of people left and never came back and I was wishing we had left, as well. 😂
Great live music.
When we were first seated it took a good 10 to 15 minutes before someone came to take are drink orders or bring us water. After that our service was pretty good thanks to the server Eddie. The only other issue we had was the brisket was over cooked and so was the bacon. The rest of our food was great. The bartender Chris was fantastic as well.
A little loud. Sometimes I had trouble hearing.
Definitely some of the best restaurant food in Atlanta! I highly recommend the kale salad and scallops with grits. The brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was a treat for the birthday boy. But bring your own candle.
The hostesses would not seat us until everyone in the party was there, which I understood. We were told to have a drink at the bar and wait, which we did. When the fourth person of a our party of five arrived and our fifth and final guest was driving right behind him , we were told we had to still wait. The hostess said, “go to the bar and get a drink”, which I told her we had already done. I asked that our 4/5 guests be seated in the half empty restaurant. They refused again quoting company policy. I asked to speak with the manager, which they totally disrespected and would not go get him or her. Right then our fifth person arrived. We asked to be seated and the Four hostesses working up front said they we had to wait for them to find a table for Five in the half empty restaurant. They said a five person table was hard to accommodate because it wasn’t six. Ridiculous! I thought my head was going to explode at the terrible service. They were absolutely rude, unwelcoming and careless. They food was great and our waiter was excellent, but I don’t think we will be back due to how we were treated on arrival. Manager; take note that your staff will not escalate matters to you. So disappointing as this was a return visit for a client dinner.
It was a really nice experience. I enjoyed the live band and the food was delicious. Price was not unreasonable. We will be returning.
I was surprisingly very disappointed over all. I arrived about 9:10 for a 9:30 reservation. Valet was backed up to the point that I waited in that line for almost 35 minutes. I was dining with a party of 8. Only one person was in the restaurant by 9:30 as the rest of us were waiting on valet. Once we were in we waited about 40 minutes for our table. I spoke with Jessica, a manager, a few times about the experience we were receiving. I got a text stating the table was ready, only to go back to the hostess stand and wait about 10 to 15 more minutes for it to be cleared and prepared. By the time we ordered and received the meals, it was closer to 11:30. I’ve usually had a great dining experience there, but the food wasn’t even up to par this time and the prices keep inflating. Unfortunately I picked the restaurant, and was embarrassed by the chain of events. It use to be one of my favorite places to eat. Now I’ll be looking for a dining experience to replace that one in the future.
Parking was ridiculous. Had reservations, couldn't be seated until everyone was inside. Half of our Party was stuck in line waiting to be parked. Was seated an hour after reservation
Terrible ....waited for an hour and 30 mins past our reservation time. Asked for a booth - was given two chairs and a small table in the middle of others ....music so loud you couldn’t hear or able to talk to each other. Sad anniversary experience.
Our Server Okwea, was Amazing. He was very knowledgeable prompt and friendly.
My only complaint was our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn’t get seated until 8:25. It pushed us late for our next event at 10p
We are local and have been to Two Urban Licks multiple times with great experiences. However, the last couple of visits (including this past Saturday night) the service has been good as best. This is a front end or management problem. The hostess sat three tables in our servers seas back to back. This set him up for failure. However, he turned the experience around with great service. I am just concerned with the pattern of lack of details to service that I have experienced.
Great restaurant with a good modern Vibe. It's pretty noisy but enjoyable. We sat at the chef's table and enjoyed watching the cooks prepare food for so many people. Very interesting.
Always have enjoyed this restaurant. Good food and great service from the valet to the table. Great service!
We love this place-it’s our go-to spot for celebration dates. The service is always top notch, the food is consistently excellent, and the wine list is delicious.
On our most recent visit, the kitchen made an extra salmon chips appetizer right as we sat down. A server (not ours) brought it over since none of his tables were full. It was such a warm gesture and made this visit special. We will be back!
We were celebrating our anniversary with family and friends. Band setting up had repeated eardrum splitting feedback problems.
Waiter was bussing our table, set a dirty plate on my daughter’s salad that she intended to take home. No effort to make things right.
We’ve eaten at Two Urban licks a number of times but won’t go back.
Fun, Festive and Tasty!
Everything was great, we would definitely go back. Our group really enjoyed it. My only suggestion is to have one true Vegan option for an entree, with no meat or dairy products.
A unique menu and energetic atmosphere created a nice dining experience for a celebration of my daughter's 23rd birthday. Had exceptional service from Chris who went out of his way to take care of a minor issue. Delicious food and would absolutely return again.
One entree came out cold and then was undercooked but they replaced it and discounted half. It was our anniversary and they treated us to a dessert. Very busy for a Sun night. Good service and live music.
Our server, Cortez, was absolutely amazing. I swear the food tastes better every single time.
Wonderful experience!! It is a must! We had a wonderful time for nye
We haven’t been to Two Urban Licks for years and during our return, we were quite disappointed. My husband “reserved” a burger as soon as we sat down, only to be told 45 minutes later (a full 30 minutes after the rest of the order was placed) that the burger was sold out. Our food didn’t arrive for another 40 minutes. When my husband’s new order, a medium steak came to the table, it was so rare that there was no blood coming out. We used to love this restaurant but will not return again, any time soon.
Came for my brothers birthday which happens to be NYE. Had a great meal and great service despite it being very busy. The live band was fun, but loud- hard to hear people at the table. I had the scallops and they were delicious.
Thank you for the birthday surprise desert for my boyfriend. And thank you for accommodating my vegan diet with the chef's special.
I took a leap of faith and made a reservation at Two Urban Licks for my first anniversary on New Years Eve, even though I'm from out of town and only read about it online. They really came through. The service was EXCELLENT. It felt like a very special night. They were attentive but also gave us time and space to enjoy our meal. The ambience was lovely and festive. The food was well done top to bottom. And we finished the night with a stroll on the beltline. Highly recommended.
It was phenomenal!! Try the empanadas!!
