Everything was great. Food was to die for. Waiter was very attentive. Everything exceeded my expectations.
I have been to TWO Urban Licks multiple times. The ambiance and the vibe is absolutely amazing! However, the customer service needs major work. The valet guys are awesome but some of the hostess and definitely the some of the waitresses need to go back to quality training. The food quality has gone down in the past months. It is still a decent meal but it used to be superb. Hopefully, it will get back on track soon.
The valets are quick, the food and service are great and the ambiance especially in the evening is outstanding.
Two Urban Licks is a great spot to bring out of town visitors or just to gather with friends. The space is not conducive for intimate conversation. It can get loud. But the space is wonderful and the menu continues to be solid. Of course -- with the Atlanta Belt Line's expansion and success -- there is nothing like brunching at Two and the strolling up to Krog or over to PCM.
This past visit -- the service was more than mediocre. She was inattentive. She got a friend's order wrong twice. When my friend asked for a biscuit the second time it was wrong -- to tide her over -- the biscuit ended up on the bill. No apologies. No attempts at making things right. We didn't want to call a manager over because I understand how tough it can be in the service industry. But -- come on.
The hostesses were rude. Service was incredibly slow. Instead of our meals coming out together, they would bring one or two plates out, then another one five minutes later, and then the rest ten minutes after that. One meal was so under-cooked it had to be sent back and we waited another 25 minutes for the new dish was then way overcooked (they did comp this one meal). Overall, terrible experience and none of us will be going back. Shame, this used to be one of my favorites.
A perfect spot, for groups or a couple, tucked away in a low traffic part of the city. The portions were a perfect size. A group of eight with four appetizers, eight meals, and two desserts average price was $50/person including gratuity. There was a live band playing an amazing selection at a moderate noise level that did not disturb the conversation at the table. If I had to be critical of anything it would be that we all smelled like smoke because of the proximity of our table to the roaster located in the center of the dining area.
Poor service, average food. Too noisy. Expensive for what we got
My sister and I went on a rainy Saturday night. I love that valet was available at the covered entrance and we stayed dry. We got there at 715p for our 730p reservation and was seated immediately. Ambiance is great. Drinks were good and strong. Appetizers came out quickly. They have good live music. Entrees were huge and delicious. Definitely recommend the brisket and pumpkin cheesecake. Yummy! Our server Kirk was great! We will definitely come again.
Fantastic food as always. Service and interaction with staff top quality. This is one of our favorites as they shine in every area imaginable.
The experience was outstanding, from the beginning to the end. Our daughter turned 19 great place for a party, get together or date night. Had problems with my prime steak, but the third one was cooked just right, management was great, they came to make sure it was cooked and if everything was well. The waiter was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this place to all I know.
We all enjoyed our meals.
They didn’t have champagne during brunch.... not a good first experience for my friend. I was embarrassed because I suggested this place
The service was spot on and the waiter was really pleasant. We ordered the brisket biscuit, which melted in our mouths and had a great flavor. The downside was that 1/2 of the portion was all fat. I don’t like the fatty white jelly portion of the meat. We also ordered the crab cake Benedict and it rocked and the frittata. Everything was super yummy. I won’t order the brisket biscuit again due to the high portion of the fatty meat.
The brunch menu left a lot to be desired. It wasn’t particularly interesting and certainly didn’t distinguish itself from any other place I’ve been to in town. Drink menu was great. Lots of options across the board. Our server was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He did get a bit tied up at the end with another big party and took a while to realize our plates were cleared and we were waiting for our check. We were understand and appreciative of his team members who assisted in clearing the tables. I would come back to try the dinner menu which looked very interesting but not brunch again.
Thank you so much for being SO accommodating. . Our party of 12 dwindled to 5 right before we were to be seated for our reservation. We felt horrible. But your staff was so courteous. Thank you!
Never disappoints. Service was excellent. Salmon chips were amazing.
Loved the ambience and service was great !
The food Choices were not flexible enough for me . I should have called ahead of time to see if they would prepare just grilled chicken or salmon . Salad options very limited
Had fo wait an additional 55 minutes for our reservation
We were seated an hour after our set reservation that was made 7 days in advance. Hostesses were overwhelmed and less than accommodating. Food was suburb and consistent with prior dining experiences. Server was delightful.
Gorgeous space with incredibly gracious and attentive waitstaff. Food was delicious and a solid value for the money. I will definitely go back again!
We loved it! Loved the e nervy, food and servers!
The food was really good, as always. But our waiter Sean, was not very attentive at all. We received all of our appetizers before we received our drinks. I asked for salt when we first sat down. It never came. Drinks were never refilled. He brought the check before we were finished eating. We wanted to order dessert so he had to redo the check. My mom ordered a salad that never came. It was still on the bill. We had to ask him to take it off. Our table was off balance so every time we would put our arms on the table, the table would move so bad that our drinks would spill over. He leaned down to fix it while we were eating dessert. Better late than never I guess. It was a busy night and we were seated at a very small table in the middle of the walkway. There was very little room for the servers to get to the table to our right. And they would fly by our table so fast that it reminded me of being on an airplane and having your foot or arm hit by the Flight attendant with the cart because the space was so tight. I love this restaurant, but would never sit at those tables again and definitely would not want to sit in Sean’s section again.
Very thing was outstanding and I would have given our experience 5 stars if the band would have taken at least one break so we could talk a little more at our table. The Brisket is Awesome!
Everything was 5 star except the bathrooms. They are dirty dark and the water doesn’t even work to wash your hands. We have been coming here for 12 years. The bathrooms need updated and cleaned, also add some light.
Was a perfect double date - sat outside and service was great, timely, and professional
We had a reservation and were sat immediately. We were given water and told our server would be over shortly. After waiting about 20 mins we asked a waiter who our server was and there was a mix up on table assignments (I guess). He ended up helping us and our food was amazing!
Since moving to Atlanta this has been my favorite restaurant. I live in the neighborhood and walked over for an early dinner reservation at 5:30p. Got there about 15 mins, was advised by receptionist they were not seating until 5:30. I sat on the patio. The supervisor soon appeared and instructed us (and another group of people) to get up from tables outside and sit at the service tables in the corner by trash cans. When it was time for our reservation she sat us at one of the least desirable tables. The whole vibe was off. I noticed the other group of people left and never came back and I was wishing we had left, as well. 😂
Great live music.
When we were first seated it took a good 10 to 15 minutes before someone came to take are drink orders or bring us water. After that our service was pretty good thanks to the server Eddie. The only other issue we had was the brisket was over cooked and so was the bacon. The rest of our food was great. The bartender Chris was fantastic as well.
A little loud. Sometimes I had trouble hearing.
Definitely some of the best restaurant food in Atlanta! I highly recommend the kale salad and scallops with grits. The brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was a treat for the birthday boy. But bring your own candle.
The hostesses would not seat us until everyone in the party was there, which I understood. We were told to have a drink at the bar and wait, which we did. When the fourth person of a our party of five arrived and our fifth and final guest was driving right behind him , we were told we had to still wait. The hostess said, “go to the bar and get a drink”, which I told her we had already done. I asked that our 4/5 guests be seated in the half empty restaurant. They refused again quoting company policy. I asked to speak with the manager, which they totally disrespected and would not go get him or her. Right then our fifth person arrived. We asked to be seated and the Four hostesses working up front said they we had to wait for them to find a table for Five in the half empty restaurant. They said a five person table was hard to accommodate because it wasn’t six. Ridiculous! I thought my head was going to explode at the terrible service. They were absolutely rude, unwelcoming and careless. They food was great and our waiter was excellent, but I don’t think we will be back due to how we were treated on arrival. Manager; take note that your staff will not escalate matters to you. So disappointing as this was a return visit for a client dinner.
It was a really nice experience. I enjoyed the live band and the food was delicious. Price was not unreasonable. We will be returning.
I was surprisingly very disappointed over all. I arrived about 9:10 for a 9:30 reservation. Valet was backed up to the point that I waited in that line for almost 35 minutes. I was dining with a party of 8. Only one person was in the restaurant by 9:30 as the rest of us were waiting on valet. Once we were in we waited about 40 minutes for our table. I spoke with Jessica, a manager, a few times about the experience we were receiving. I got a text stating the table was ready, only to go back to the hostess stand and wait about 10 to 15 more minutes for it to be cleared and prepared. By the time we ordered and received the meals, it was closer to 11:30. I’ve usually had a great dining experience there, but the food wasn’t even up to par this time and the prices keep inflating. Unfortunately I picked the restaurant, and was embarrassed by the chain of events. It use to be one of my favorite places to eat. Now I’ll be looking for a dining experience to replace that one in the future.
Parking was ridiculous. Had reservations, couldn't be seated until everyone was inside. Half of our Party was stuck in line waiting to be parked. Was seated an hour after reservation
Terrible ....waited for an hour and 30 mins past our reservation time. Asked for a booth - was given two chairs and a small table in the middle of others ....music so loud you couldn’t hear or able to talk to each other. Sad anniversary experience.
Our Server Okwea, was Amazing. He was very knowledgeable prompt and friendly.
My only complaint was our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn’t get seated until 8:25. It pushed us late for our next event at 10p
We are local and have been to Two Urban Licks multiple times with great experiences. However, the last couple of visits (including this past Saturday night) the service has been good as best. This is a front end or management problem. The hostess sat three tables in our servers seas back to back. This set him up for failure. However, he turned the experience around with great service. I am just concerned with the pattern of lack of details to service that I have experienced.
Great restaurant with a good modern Vibe. It's pretty noisy but enjoyable. We sat at the chef's table and enjoyed watching the cooks prepare food for so many people. Very interesting.
Always have enjoyed this restaurant. Good food and great service from the valet to the table. Great service!
